  • Here's my full review of the world's smallest & lightest travel tripod, the Sirui T-025X. This is what I carry with me everywhere as it's less than 2 pounds and folds down to less than a foot. Amazing little tripod that you can fit in any backpack and carry all day long. I used this tripod for my last 5 videos.

    I have this tripod, with the ball head connected to the swivel for the carabiner it is 13" when all folded up. Also the top post is fixed and cannot be re positioned for macro shooting. Other than that I like it a lot more than the 2205x k-20x for RX1R II. The lighter weight and size are not vastly different but are enough to make travelling with it just that much more convenient.

    I’ve got a “HILLPOW Q1 tripod”from my boyfriend. It’s great for beginners. It’s lightweight but can load 5kg,3-section legs with locks that can be adjusted to several different angles. You can find it on Amazon.

    Im googling this tripod and there are three versions: T-025SK, T-025K and T-025X. I could not tell the difference between the three.

    Nice review and cool location too. I have the BeFree and I love it for hiking around and not having to carry a lot of weight. I didn't even know there was a smaller one. Cool!

    Wanted to clarify: most sites list the T-025x as having a load capacity of ~13lbs
    Also, I was curious why you (and it seems everyone else) opted for the T-025x/T-005x instead of their 4 section counterparts T-024x/T-004x. If there's something that made you choose the 5's over the 4's please let me know since I'm trying to buy a Sirui right now!

    You should try out the indiesolo by gripgear. Even when you carry it it helps stabilize the shake. Check out the RUclips demo.

    Thanks for the video but the tripod is only as small because you have detached the head. This is way too cumbersome, just way to long to set up and take down every time

    • @BIGMACMCDONALDLEE
      @BIGMACMCDONALDLEE  7 лет назад +1

      +Pikmeir depends on your usage. But this is the most portable tripod I have ever used. Sirius also has bigger tripods which I have, I should have a video of that soon also.

    • @Pikmeir
      @Pikmeir 7 лет назад

      ***** I'm most interested in portability and stability. Both this one and the Manfrotto one seem good enough in portability, but I'm trying to decide which is better since they're different prices.

    • @BIGMACMCDONALDLEE
      @BIGMACMCDONALDLEE  7 лет назад +1

      Pikmeir manfrotto is a bit more stable but Siriu is much lighter and smaller.

    You obviously did not search hard enough. If you are "pacifically" looking for the smallest package possible, check out Platypod from Max. It can't get any smaller than that.

    • @m1kel

      i reckon he meant full tripod. the platypod is more loke a tabletop tripod :)

    Nice review, however, any tripod with a FIXED (Non-adjustable) center column is a deal breaker for me! That design offers little in terms of stability, and there are so many tripods with either an adjustable or even no center column, that offer MUCH more stability! Isn't the main point of a tripod "stability"?! Thank you.

      Hi Black. Well, I use a mirrorless kit (Fuji X-Pro2, and no lens longer than 55-200), so for this kit I use an Oben CT-3535 Travel Tripod, or a Promaster XC525. Both have adjustable center columns, are small (folding to 12" and 16" respectively), stable, and have a monopod-conversion option. I haven't used the Sirui in this video, but judging from its' fixed center column, and the way it's being used fully extended, the tripods I mentioned above would provide MUCH better stability, especially with a larger kit. Thanks, and Happy Holidays!
