In the very early 1990s my Grandparents had a 1979 Four Door Buick Lasabre. With the "soft top" and Top-Of-The-Line.
This was in New Orleans, Louisiana by the way.

Why do folks think all old cars need a loud/noisy exhaust? These luxury cars should be smooth and silent.

True! Came that way to me

To "fit in" so they won't get beat up in the high school parking lot or the parking lot of their first job for driving a "lame-ass/old ass Grandma/Grandpa car" because Heaven forbid they tell their so-called "friends" to screw off, that they love the car just as it is, & that they don't have to ride with them if they don't like it, @JRobertt11111!!!!!!!

OMG, the interior is identical to that of my very first car, a white `77 Le Sabre Custom 4 door with a 350 blue block and a Q-jet.
I still remember how it sounded with the air filter lid flipped:)

My motto is this, if it's your car and it will make you happy, you should do it! Would love to hear it when it's all done!

Wasn't built for speed. Just like a Rolls Royce

@@spukersonmerlosk1661 wrong. Rolls could do 125 mph. 2 way different vehicles to compare. Poor comparison.
