I wish the food network still had shows like this instead of stupid competitions.
+Jason Downs -- Yep. I quit watching the food network, and I watch the cooking shows on PBS and here on RUclips.
+Jason Downs FN sold out
Anime4 Mii "You got bam bam i forgot his name..."
Emeril "Bam!" Lagasse?
TV shows seems like they've been dumbed down has time goes on.
The Munchies RUclips channel does 👍🏽
Mario is so talented and witty, he has Jake smiling throughout the whole show!
What a freaking pro. 22 minutes, 3 dishes, oodles of knowledge.
Came from Adam Ragusea.
Also, always loved watching Molto
Same

Jubayer Sarker what’s the connection?
Back when the Food Network wasn't airing bullshit cupcake competitions and when you actually learned something.
T Tanizawa I know almost all of what made me a competent chef from these kinds of shows
Amen
This was my favorite cooking show in the early-mid 2000s. So nostalgic watching it again.
I wish he was making new episodes.
He was a great cook (and a mediocre rapist)
Honestly, I commend how Mario effortlessly shifts between italian and english language while maintaining composure during cooking; there's so much energy needed from cooking in itself, let alone talking and educating people extensively at the same time. His multi-tasking skills are extremely admirable. I just need to add, Mario wasn't even just giving trivia; he was recounting italian history and how it was related to food and tradition. Everything was heartfelt. I don't care that he talked fast; i cared that he made sense while still making good food AND entertaining guests.
Well my thoughts precisely only you said it better 😅
Baby Jakey G, so inquisitive.
Maggie's laugh is so beautiful....
and the flying potato that landed in Jake's eye is how he became a supervillian
"What kind of bacon is the best kind?" Jake's best line
Hahaha
He’s stoned Lol so is Maggie
This shows just how amazing Mario. He didn't prep a single thing and didnt miss a beat. He is a BOSS
It's funny how Mario only talks and the guest's job is to eat and gigle.
I can't imagine trying to cook at this level and talk so much at the same time. Only a master could do this.
This video may be old. People think and say that he's talking too much, but I honestly learn a lot from Chef Mario here because he explains almost everything that I need to know about cooking Italian food which I really love. Like I never knew regions in Italy have their own way of cooking pasta sauces, or to get near authentic is to be traditional like how Italians traditionally cook the grandma way or simply not drown my pasta in too much sauce because it's important to make enough of it and just let the noodles soak the sauce so they meet and become one like marriage.😂 Such as these are important info packed in one episode alone that I just couldn't find anywhere else in RUclips, which mostly has people do the cooking or no talking with background music. It's either I never learn anything or get only little info from it. Chef Mario is different. But to each their own. I still 💜 Chef Mario Batali. I'm learning from the master. Food network needs to bring such vids back. Not cupcake wars or cake halloween competitions.
Even the guests can only watch this guy do his job in awe of how paced, calm and interesting he makes cooking look
IIDBTechII That's why he's a master chef
came here for Jake and Maggie and NOW IM HUNGRY
Please don't eat them.
it's funny hearing him talk on his new show about how he never used to let his guests get a word in on molto mario then coming back and watching it
I just like the way he's always so dramatic about his pasta. "You combine the sauce....with the pasta, and they come together...as ONE! :O"
I'm running out of Jake Gyllenhaal content. Good thing I don't run out of food!
Haha yeah when I started watching this video I thought "wow, I'm probably too many videos deep into the Jake Gyllenhaal content" lol.
serve it, Maggie
Ah, who doesn't love the old Food Network shows especially Italiano and Mario Batali
Apparently they thought going in a different direction, away from cooking and more competition was better for ratings. I've no idea, I stopped watching years ago. This was why Emeril said he left.
Jake needs to do a weekly tv show.
YES!
I love that snickering sound when someone's serving food...Yup, me too.... and while eating it too...
i knew Jake was gonna ask about the bacon
The shows that I actually enjoyed like Food 911, Malto Mario, Tyler's Ultimate, Emeril Live and of course we can't forget Iron Chef America!
I would pay a lot of money to have an experience like this with Mario Batali
Zachary Holloway but your broke ass.....
Dude, same here. What an experience that would be.
@The Sentinel Fuck you then. Because guess what, NYPD didn't find evidence to make an arrest, so you just judged one of the greastest chefs in America.
So have all facts in hand, before being the usless piece of shit you are.
Arguably the greatest Italian Cuisine chef ever! Batali's dishes are something else.
92skid you obviously arent italian
As far as Italian TV chefs go, Batali has always done a good job. Lidia Bastianich is probably the best among them though... and the best overall will always be your Italian grandma.
to help him with his crazy look in nightcrawler, jake gyllenhaal always thought about the time, when mario batali sneezed in his hand before making the dough and he had to eat it, because of cameras and politeness
ernst undsehrböse when is the part with the sneeze? Lol I think I missed it
4:17 looked like he only burped
Batali's lung capacity must be enormous. I'd pass out if I talked that much/fast.
Well, we can SEE his GUT is.
Cocaine
Jake looks a lot better when he is older, but can be recognized easily when he was young.
Back when food network was good. I miss those days.
Love this, used to watch it everyday. He inspired me to learn to make my own fresh pasta. I have finally after some practice, mastered it! Good stuff.
They are such a great family.
I love this! Show me to cook! Forget those competition shows!
I always loved Mario's show, but it was too short. This guy is a walking encyclopedia of Italian cooking techniques. The episodes always felt a bit rushed. Yo, Food Network, you want to be legit again? Get this man his own hour long show!
not gonna break out the vino and say cin cin motherfuckers??? LOL!
Awesome video. Wish the Food Network still showed this kind of videos where we can learn something useful. Thanks for the shares.
They should have cut to a 10 second scene from this video during Donnie Darko. It would have made sense.
I use to love watching this is a kid me & my lil brother
Love Mario but he definitely meant "alliteration" instead of "onomatopoeia"
They asked 4 times how long do you cook fresh pasta lol.
Anthony Lombardo their high 🤣
Bill Burr brought me here
+Lux Intra Deathsquad!
+Lux Intra why?
same lol
+Lux Intra ohhh jeesshhhuussshh
Wow, I miss Mario... A full 2 hour culinary class in 22 minutes...
This is so heart warming
I’ll always be Team Maggie ❤ I love her!
Loved this episode
He really knows his stuff. He makes it all look so easy
Maggie is incredibly beautiful. My fav in Hollywood.
favorite video and comment section on all of youtube
why the fuck is this not on TV again
We miss you, Mario.... # 1
When Food Network had real shows. Molto Mario, Good Eats, Emeril Live, Tyler's Ultimate... real cooking shows with explanations and insanely great recipes instead of a thousand reality shows with terrible people trying to cook for teams under chefs, or dramatic girls in cupcake wars.
I miss Food 911, Hot off the Grill with Bobby Flay and Jacqi Malouf, East Meets West, and Michael Chiarello... hope I typed that last name right
Yan Can Cook!
best cooking show EVER
Se mira muyyy buena la pasta Sr mario mi respeto a usted muchos saludos y gracias 👍👍👍👍
"It can't be too hot, even if someone burns their mouth." I can't stop laughing. Please send rescue.
I feel like your more a fan of alliteration. 😉 killer vid. Super helpful as always.

Jake and Maggie are high af
The only way
What does af mean?

Don Mario! If he wasn't into cooking, he'd definitely be into steampunk
Give it up for the bob Ross of cooking
He's a good teacher.
miss this show. tired of all the tv shows today which makes cooking look complicated .
thanks!!!!
Steaks tips form his employees.
Lovely chap .
It's Thanksgiving and I'm all alone
loser
Hi, Neighbor!
Cooking Makes you happy and fun to do
damn mr. rogers you're gonna make me cry
10:50 One of the wisest men of our time.
Lol, he explained that when you make a lasagna you let it set for a good while, and what does he do? Cut into a giant puddle of mush.. #Hah
Put Mario back on Molto Mario.we learn so much,
Don't you wanna just sit in the middle of the Gyllenhaals, hug them and eat some of that pasta?
+Juan P yeah I do
MetusBatmanV4 I didn’t, it was an honest beautiful feeling and u turned it into something sinful. Not a bad idea though.
Juan P Yeah, because sitting between siblings you don't know and hugging on them isn't creepy...it's beautiful, right moron?
MetusBatmanV4 I think it’s not. To each his own.
Juan P You're a moron.
I remember this
Good content Q food reviews god bless
what a freaking pro
Maggie look like her mother.. And Jake looks like his dad
Amazing.
Did you hear that Kitchen Aid? Maybe start adding just a little texture to your pasta rollers??
I'm a fan is onomatopoeia, but more so of alliteration. boom.
icon....
I throughly enjoyed this. I miss Mario! 🤐
Unbelievable that Food Network actually believes people prefer to see Guy Fieri eat in yet another restaurant or watch Giada fall out of her shirt while Bobby Flay oogles her.
Well...the sad fact is that people do. It's why there's nothing that has to do with history on the History channel, nothing to discover on the Discovery channel, TLC has been a cesspool for like 20 years. At the very least, the Food Network's programming still at least tends to revolve around food in some way or another. I'm surprised there hasn't been some kind of "Cooking in Alaska" show, seeing how there was suddenly a giant outbreak of shows themed around Alaska for a while...
Giada is a maneater.
The GSP of cooking
Yummy Mario
Good video
10:25 I think he meant "Alliteration"
jules11788 was just about to say that hahaha
Exactly!
Mario was talking about Emeril. BANG!
They will have pasta eating competition.
LOL gonna have to try and not think of belly button.
Does anybody know the name of the song that plays on the intro ? I can’t get the song out of my head
Thank you Action Bronson, this is fucking amazing.
Suba did he direct u to this video?
Love this guy
Has anyone else looked this guy up because of Charles Boyle's costume in Brooklyn 99?
definitely let the lasagna cool before cutting it
That looks so yummy!☹️
Too bad he did some bad stuff :( i feel bad for the other people that worked on this because this is a masterpiece.
wearing crocs in 03?
This is better than bread jerky pasta.
Now days, the Food Network is like watching MTV. They'll show everything that doesn't consist the channel itself.
Great Show, Great Host . FUCK cancel culture
what are the ads so long now
I’m here because of Adam Ragusea
🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
