Dude you are a life saver! You gave me the confidence to work on the bike and do the job on my yz250f 🤟🏽 keep up the good work
Glad I could help!
I have a 24 yz250f I got a month ago I need to do this but seems daunting putting back together
What would elevate your videos to the next level is attaching a list of tools you use in the description of the video and referencing them during the video (even overlaying a list of the tools for each task). Liked and subscribed :)
I have been thinking about adding some affiliate links and showing the tools I use and where to get them would that be interesting?
@@Maxsmotoshop very much so!
This video was PERFECT!!!....
Thanks glad you found it helpful😎
Great video, just picked up 2023 today! Looking forward to more videos!
Awesome instructional mate. Thankyou will get to doing mine shortly
No problem 👍
Great video, I just picked up a 23 250RX and will be doing this after 10 hours. Keep the 250RX content coming, just subscribed.
Thank you I hope you found it helpful👍
thanks for the good video, i got the exact same bike two days ago , i hope you put out a ton of 250rx videos , i appreciate it man, good work. I subscribed ,thumbs up!
Thanks for the support👍
About 10 years ago the mechanic for factory ktm in Canada only ran front axle with no grease. Never really questioned it since figured he knew more than me
First of all KTM so stop right there second of all a couple times a year I have to beat axels out of bikes because people don’t grease them and charge the customer quite a bit extra for doing so definitely put a small amount of grease on all actuals and shafts. The situation might be a little bit different if you were a racer changing your tires a few times a week.
No torque wrench?
Awesome video with detailed info..I've got the 250f R..but same principle in general. Riding for a couple months now..time to lube up....thanks👍😁🔥
👍
Not a drop of sweat, impressive
Great video, iv just got myself a 22 CRF RX so these videos will come in handy! Keep them coming 👍🏼
Thanks, will do!
Can’t forget to put anti-seize grease on the chain adjuster bolts!
Glad I found your channel! Awesome information!! Subscribed
Thank you I hope you found it helpful👍
This video was awesome! Very concise, very detailed, camera angle was great. Liked and subscribed. Thanks!
Thanks for the support👍
I may have to drill and tap some Zerk fittings... lots of them...
Thanks man , same bike except the R.
I like the no torque wrench for this job, act like uv’e done it before.
Glad it helped
Good work Max !! Good to know thx, keep up the good work bro !
Thanks for the support
Also grease the head bearings.
Awesome how to video. Thank you
😎
Got a tw200 didn't do that ,first thing this spring, I will thanks for the info.
Definitely a good idea on a bike like that bearings are going to last forever so it will be a long time before you remove those pins and they could rest in place👍
Helpful information, thanks bro
Always welcome
Thank you i only greased my rear axle and my front tire is squeaking bad and know i have to grease it up😂
better get them greased
@@Maxsmotoshop how often do u grease a year?
@@user-lu5in5ef9b once a year should be fine
Awesome Job! thanks for making this. Very helpful and done well!
Thanks for the support👍
Tweakin hard dude..
Does the rear axle need grease ? I say this because all the movement occurs in the bearings. The axle just holds the bearings in place and you don’t want to encourage the axle to turn on the bearings.
Yes, the front and rear axle need to be greased. What do usually a greased the first time you change the tire which should be in the first year anyways, this video covers the more unusual places that have to be greased.
@@Maxsmotoshop I appreciate your reply ! Best wishes 👍🏻
Do you ever work on Husqvarna fe 501s motorcycles?
max, I'm going to buy my first motorcycle (new) some recommend the honda rx, others ktm xc-f, and husky fx. Which one suits me best? I need it for cross country races, or speed type "rally". Nice video, greetings!
The Honda 250 RX would be a great bike to start with it is awesome in the trails and tight spots tons of usable power for hillclimbing the KTM and Husky are marketing gimmicks they need constant work and tons of maintenance by an experienced mechanic they are a bike for people who like to wave goodbye to their money
If you’re looking for something two-stroke check out the Yamaha they make great bikes as well
@@Maxsmotoshop my intuition said honda, apparently I was right! Thanks u Max!
How many hours before your going to check the valves on the 2022 crf250RX ? Can you make a video on this ? I’m interested in getting this bike but the maintenance intervals scares me a bit. Thanks, great videos, keep them coming!
The service manual says six hours for racing and 15 hours for regular riding… i’m probably going to just check mine once a year
If I get an opportunity I will definitely do a quick valve check video
I don’t know why my cap on the right side does not pass when I want to insert the swing arm.
Keep trying
Great video. Thanks. How long did it take you to complete the process? I am wondering how much time it would take a complete beginner to do it.
Would probably take you a few hours
@@Maxsmotoshop Thank you sir!
Can use the same grease (like ball bearing grease) for everything? Sorry im a noob trying to learn lol! Thx for the video!
Yes, get some quality bearing grease and it will be multipurpose. I use Lucas oil heavy duty bearing grease on anything I do.
@@emersonmoses1780 thx! I already ordered a jar of multipurpose greese, heavy duty. Should be good ;)
Basically, I definitely recommend a waterproof grease though. Somethings thick
Is it the same as the 2024 husqvarna TE300 linkage system?
Most bikes are fairly similar. Helps to take a few pictures before you get started so you can have a little help putting it back together manufacturer grease from the factory.
Will that grease be ok for air filter too?? Great video
Yes, it is the perfect grease for the air filter as well
Is this the same process for most dirt bikes? I have an Orion RXB 250 and yes its a china bike.
Yes, will be basically the same for every dirtbike
@@Maxsmotoshop awesome. Thanks man. This video was very informative.
Hey man. My rear wheel spacers wont budge. Should i force them out?
Three or wheel spacers should come out with ease but some bikes they are pressed into the bearings and need to be pulled out
Hi what is the name of the lubricant you use?
Maxima racing lubricants waterproof Grease👍
No torque wrench…
There are only a few bolts on the machine that need to be torqued most of them are inside the motor otherwise a torque wrench is only needed if you are unsure about what you are doing then make sure to use the torque wrench👍
@@Maxsmotoshop Honda has been building bikes for 73 years and specifies a torque value for all axle nuts, I think I'll believe them. Everything has a torque spec.
@@phantomshtter torque wrenches are rarely used
At least two uga-duggas
@MaxsMotoShop by techs... oh I know trust me. That's why I do my own work.
what type grease to you use?
Check the link in the description
How often do you do this
It’s a good idea to do this once a season
@@Maxsmotoshop thanks
Came here because I have the big brother 450 bike. I watched ruclips.net/video/jq5TUDXsfrg/видео.html (highland cycles) first and then watched yours. I like how you showed how to take the swing arm and the rest of the linkages. Your technique to not have all the needle bearings fall off is excellent. The guy at highland cycle had you take the needle bearings out and then clean them and the area where the bearings roll. I suppose that would be a step to go beyond this.
Yes, I prefer not to pull the needles out. They are already clean as this is a brand new bike, just lacking grease to ensure a long life
😅ur funy
.. how much caffeine did you have?
4 cups a day
greasing the axles doesnt do shit, They dont move. The bearings move and need the grease
Clearly, you’ve never worked on a bike, the shaft will see in place after a few months and will need to be beaten out with a large hammer if you do not grease them
The way he talks is pissing me off
Don’t care
