- Didn't expect my first vid after a long time to be this lol, but it is what it is :D Hopefully you can look forward to some more videos again though as my schedule will hopefully free up just a bit.
As Frontier keeps neglecting the Game that made them big, people become more comfortable with cheats since they stop to care about any punishments.
Even if thy did this ppl will just make new account and cheat again

the problem with cheaters are huge in every game most of the twitch creators are involved its a horror for fair players

Well, this is mostly a pretty new thing, last 1 or 2 years or so, and I'd say open is still definitely worth it for ppl who like interacting with other players. It's just neccesary to do some basic risk assesment then if you don't wanna be negatively surprised 😄 private is def legit choice tho if someone doesn't really need even friendly player inreractions.
Shit like this has literally been going on for years. Apart from banning some players, Frontier have never done anything to try and stop it.
having once logged out at jamesons as a "freshman" imagine my horror to login later in the day to find a thargoid shooting and killing everything in sight .. ofc wasnt a real lazer lettuce just a skin still quiet a shock🙄
think that vette is protesting frontiers neglect of the game not actually trying to think he can get away with it
He tried to justify cheating by the developer actually being the bad ones, funniest shit I've ever seen.

i have never played "online".. always solo. and i never will. there is no benefit to it. its not NMS. (non there too but no danger either!)
I'd say there definitely is benefit, at least if you like player inreractions. Ofc if that's not sth you would like to have, solo Is a good option. I probably wouldn't play anymore if I were to play in solo, at some point the friendly CMDR inreractions and PVP really became my main thing I enjoy in the game.

This guy had 3 other alts and was doing this to me there last week.... All we can do is keep reporting these guys I guess.

My buddy got attacked by a hacker at Shinrarta. His KM2 ended up at 2441% hull. He showed it to me before logging off. Strange days.

No idea if it was cheaters though...I think most cheaters are less obvious than that Vette! o7

Yea these are kinda the obvious funny types altho it still sucks to be in the game lol. Obv there are ppl manipulating stats more carefully and less obvious for PVP or stuff like that too
@@cmdrHeliaxx Less obvious? i have seen people running around with turning every place into a scene from macross with infinite missile swarms. Fdev doesn't really police it, they barely have a skeleton crew maintaining the game as is.

@@nikushim6665 There are smarter people using these things to bump up their stats just enough to give them the definite edge but make you scratch your head and wonder, to the point where you have to review what happened and do some math on EDSY/Coriolis to try to figure out if it was even possible. I have been one-shotted or just suspiciously quickly dispatched by some of "regulars" of ShinDez. Like, you were killed in two passes by a frag Mamba but you had engineered prismatics and boosters, 3500 hull, GS armoured PP. You check max dps on a frag mamba, with premium ammo even...nope, doesn't add up. These people are often more insidious than the blatant crazy cheaters.

Just a guess. Since this game is P2P based, it requires both clients to coordinate with each other in order to sync data correctly.
If the other side ignores damage sync, then as far as the game concern the damage didn't happen.
This problem can be corrected if there is a source of truth which all clients must reference to. For a full online game, the game server can serve as one. But in P2P games, it's basically impossible.
Cheaters generally have easier time in dead game
Eh, Elite obv isnt dead, but to say that FDEV's not very proactive when it comes to dealing with bugs and exploits would be an understatement. The playerbase is pretty much stable in the last months, but I still do wish they would get hold of themselves and realise Elite is their by far strongest franchise and start being more active with its development. I think they did to a degree but they still definitely have long way to go.

@@locutusvonborg2k3first of all, those things also aint "hacks", they are "cheats". "Hack" is a verb, not a noun. You hack game and then you create and use cheat.
Second, using software does not make you software developer, does it? Devs create apps, users use their apps. Users!=devs. Hackers hack and create cracks/sploits/cheats, and cheaters use those cheats. Cheaters!=hackers.
Kids and casuals messed up the whole pantheon.
