I’m new to D&D and that’s what I did. I bought the PHB to look things up and it’s pretty cool, it gives me more details about a lot of things and has helped me wrapping my head around the ruleset more properly. I also love artwork inside.
Unimportant correction: Weirdly enough, it seems the Larian Logo is the Natural 1, and the Mind Flayer symbol is the Natural 20, based on the surrounding numbers. The 2 is always adjacent to the 20, and the 19 is always adjacent to the 1.
People reselling this edition for 1.400€ are crazy thinking someone will buy it. Love it, love the content but for me 250€ was way too much and I only really want the artbook which is amazing
@@mooncalf_69 260€ for me here in Greece. And if we add tax, shipping costs etc it can go up to 300€. Too expensive. Hopefully Larian will at least release some physical goods separately like an artbook, steelbook or physical copy.
My collectors edition is being handled by US customs as we speak for inspection and now am I full of dread that some fool is going to break something or not take care in the inspection as he or she won’t value this nearly as much as I do.

I think that the mind flayer is our "hero" because he's dressed exactly like the Emperor whereas the drow is a minion of the Absolute.
I still say it was a missed opportunity to not sell the PHB with baldurs gate as a strategy guide.
I am legit pulled my copy out a couple times to consult level progression.

I agree, but I know that Larian didn't want to do it to let people explore the game and experience their own adventure

I actually prefer it this way, the Larian logo is a dude with an arrow on its head, sounds like a nat 1 to me.

Agreed. Even the official price was too much. No wonder it took so many months to get sold out. (pre-orders were up since december 2022)

I really wanted to get that dice d20 but couldn't afford the whole big set. Wish they would sell it separately. :)
