      I've only read excerpts but I know the only thing that could ever be more compelling might be the words in Pat's journal ... if only the cowardly weasels hadn't burned Pat's journal along with his body armor. A millionaire NFL football player that gives up the contract to become an Army Ranger so he can get in the fight fast ... that's a man that is selfless even before the bullets fly.
      If the higher ups knew what Pat was writing in his journal, which was an honest accounting of all that he'd seen and experienced; if those journals showed leadership elements in a poor light, it's understandable (though not acceptable) why crooked higher ups might make the call to burn Pat's journal along with his kevlar helmet and flak jacket.

    • @hildenbrandt21
      @hildenbrandt21 3 года назад +1

      @@kentexican5844 it's covered pretty well in the book itself, but of course over time more has come out. All indications have pointed to Pat joining to "fight the good fight" if you will, but realized once over there that it was almost complete BS, and he wasn't shy about his feelings and journaled them quite often. Even back in 2002-2004 when he was alive, he was incredibly well known as his story had made mainstream media. Would have been an awfully bad look for the military if he were to return home and publicly state his disapproval and disdain of what was happening across the world. Definitely makes you think if his death was accidental or not.

      The unreal is more powerful than the real. Because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. Because its only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. Stone crumbles. Wood rots. People, well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on. If you can change the way people think. The way they see themselves. The way they see the world. You can change the way people live their lives. That's the only lasting thing you can create. Chuck

    People are gonna overreact I’m not worried at all, he gets Detroit this week and its not a bad thing to get one of the couple bad games out of the way.

      Im not sure that will be the case. The Packers did not have a winner on either side of the ball and got monstered. I hope that Green Bay can bounce back next week and then go on to have a great season, but from what i saw of that game the level of DILLIGAF across the board on that team right now is very high.

    • @scolioid
      @scolioid 3 года назад

      yeah I was at the game (first ever NFL game btw) and a fellow packer fan sitting in front of me was overreacting HARD all game. But we'll definitely be alright

    • @stephensporman8206

      The offense will be fine. The defense is still trash and proved embarrassingly so. Kevin King is 🗑️ As a Packer fan I'm definitely worried.

    • @dyrtybarstud5261
      @dyrtybarstud5261 3 года назад

      @Dylan Russell There are no good reasons why they should not be good. So long as they turn up to play. In the context of the game we just saw, tell me which players you think had a good game? It was the feel of the game, the on field attitude of the players. They were not a pack, they were a rabble on both sides of the ball. One game is never a large enough sample size to consider writing a team off. That being said they gave us exactly zero evidence to support any arguement that they will be good this year. We can only assume that a team that was so good last year will be good this year too. Rodgers and the pack are certainly entitled to a couple of mulligans given their on paper quality. None of that changes that they looked like a bottom 5 team this week.

    A. I didn’t realize that I signed up for the book of the month club even though they are exceptional recommendations.
    B. There’s no way that happened.
    C. The Saints came out with an entirely different scheme .
    D. Where’s the love for Jameis ?
    E. I agree with A.J. on the family jewelry protection
    F . Aaron is still one of my favorite qbs all time but the o-line and receivers and d need to step it up like 4 notches

    As a packer fan I know Rodgers Is going to bounce back & be on fire. I don’t like how packer fans are selling him out like saying “He threw that game away on purpose” like wtf cmon now offense & defense played HORRIBLE & they only want to blame the loss on Rodgers. Every year we get blowned out & Rodgers has a bad game it’s a year thing packer fans are doing the most Right now . I just want Rodgers to prove the people wrong & ball out this whole Szn 💯

    I love the fact that a punter turned RUclipsr has a show that started with him, a couple microphones, and some buddies in a room with a 5 dollar wrestling cutout in the background… and he gets 30 minutes every week with the NFL’s most mysterious quarterback and places like ESPN and FS1 get nothing. That makes me genuinely so happy. It goes to show that meritocracy is still alive. I love this show.
