  • Finally got to see and film my first thunderstorm of this year!!!
This was filmed on last Saturday afternoon (May 21, 2022) and it was considered to be a derecho thunderstorm with hurricane-like wind gusts (130km/h+), frequent lightning, microbursts, power outages resulting in over 350k Ontario residences lost their power during the extreme thunderstorm, hail, uprooted trees, and sadly lives lost due to fallen trees, etc!
With the wind gusts (microburst/hurricane-like violent gusts) slamming the area, I literally took cover for a moment!
The reason for the excitement you’re hearing from me is the adrenaline rush kicking in/taking place! Also my Tourette’s was present at times too! It’s common with these type of situations.
No I am serious, that’s how intense this Derecho/Supercell Thunderstorm was! I have never seen one like this in a very long time!
There was a large wave of damage reports from this “eventful” weather phenomena! Broken windows, uprooted trees, power lines down, vice versa!!!
We did get an alert from EAS “Alert Ready” for this “bat-$#/+” insane storm! No kidding!!!
    Overall…
    This was quite the storm!
    Anyways, enjoy the video!
By the way I did not bleep/censor out the expletives that I said in this video since my adrenaline rush was active! So please excuse the language. Thanks!
    #thunderstorm

Let me explain what happened in Iowa a couple of years ago. We had a derecho...we never had such a thing before...but the winds were 140mph for an hour.. When it was done it had taken out most of the trees in the entire city and demolished homes, took off siding and roofs and the huge thunderstorm we had after all that caused even more damage! Cleanup is still ongoing.... there were so many trees and tree parts that were in front of every house that the piles were 6- 10 feet tall in front of every house ..all the street signs were uprooted..on the major roads, the telephone poles had been ripped out of the ground and were all over the highways. We did not have electricity or cell phone service for a month! There are quite a few RUclips videos that show what happened here.

Can't help but feel like most of this is a bit over exaggerated. I know 140mph winds isn't true. Because that was *never* confirmed. Iowa has also had Derechos in the past, they're actually most common in the Plains and Midwest.

I got a suggestion for a couple elevators I think you'll Like: The Lobby/Parking Elevators at North American Centre (5650 Yonge, and 5700 Yonge). I was there not long ago and I cannot help but recommend this place to your channel, those are some amazing Elevators.

As a cyclist, I really felt bad for the guy rolling through at 2:30. Hope he got home before it got much worse.

I love your energy and excitement. I was asleep when it rolled it and only saw the last new min. I wish I could've seen it come in like that.
