pretty sure if I would’ve walked in in the 60s and you would start recommending me these bangers I would fall in love on the spot! great video, you got great taste
nice, The United States Of America is my favorite 60s underground psych record alongside A Child's Guide To Good And Evil, Ultimate Spinach's Behold & See, The Zodiac: Cosmic Sounds, The Freeborne's Peak Impressions, Red Krayola's The Parable Of The Arable Land (this one is nuts) and Os Mutantes' debut album.
Your awesome fashion sense (hair, makeup, jewelry & clothing) is spot on. You look exactly like women i knew in school between 1981 to 1989 who were part of the 80's New Wave, Goth, Shoegazer, Punk scene. You've made me nostalgic for my younger days.
I got so excited when you busted out The United States of America, that's one of my all time favorite albums and the whole video I was hoping it would come up even though I felt like the odds were stacked against it BUT THEN YOU PULLED IT OUT and I absolutely lost my shit 10/10 great vid
AHHH they’re one of my faves EVER n they’re always my “i bet u didn’t know this one” band lol, i’m so glad u love them too! they def deserve more recognition
@@daisychainlizzy They totally do! also do you like Pram? They're another fav and i highly recommend them if u like United States and haven't already checked em out
Absolutely love this! The late 60s as a whole is my favorite period of music but man, 1969 had SO many great albums from a variety of genres. One of my personal favorite albums is "Then Play On" by Fleetwood Mac. With the collection you showed here and what you seem to enjoy, I recommend that album if you haven't listened to it before, it’s fucking phenomenal. Now if you actually hate blues based rock, maybe I don’t recommend it lol
@@daisychainlizzy yeah i've also got some favourites like the rise and fall of ziggy stardust and the spiders from mars (i love this album especially 5 years because of its despair and love and vulnerability ahhhhhhh) but besides that i havent really listened to stuff. im already kinda overwhelmed by all the music thats been coming out the last years, but im currently trying to catch up on stuff and listen to new music
oh man, the end of the 60's. a lot of cool bands out there: ooh the schizophrenic pink floyd🙏🏻, the stooges, the doors, velvet underground, jimi hendrix. here in argentina there were some good bands back then (end of the 60's, beginning of the 70's) like almendra, pescado rabioso, pappo, billy bond y la pesada, etc. idk cool stuff
It is now 1970, and I am sadly one year late in viewing this marvelous video, but as you like United States of America, have you also heard Joe Byrd & The Field Hippies' "American Metaphysical Circus"?
Molly Ringwald? wow, now I can creepily stare at the cute record store, girl! Actually, you reminded EBE girls, which we called her at Record Time downtown rochester in 1993. Never knew her real name. I don't know how many records I bought just to go see EBE GIRL!
i love ur asmr it feels like im with my girl friends its so comforting
that’s so so sweet ty 🫶🫶
you/your characters are always so perfectly nonchalant and so effortlessly witty! i’m obsessed
I clicked on this to go back in time and wasn't disappointed. I love that you know more about 60s music than I do!
