This is my most anticipated figure in the entire line! I ordered this along with the Daspletosaurus, looking forward to having those two displayed together!
I do indeed love the gorgo, my only problem with it though isn't necessarily from the figure itself, but the figures fans. Everybody seems to be praising and loving the gorgo for its blue colouration, but a decent amount of people hate the toro for its blue colouration. Its an interesting case, but this is still a grest figure regardless
Don't get me wrong, I love the toro too, but I can see why that's the case, the Gorgo has a more muted, almost natural looking blue, while the toro is just straight up bright blue
I love the color on both of them. I think the yellow on this one provides a nice contrast that you don’t get with the Toro but the Toro is still one of my favorites of the ceratopsians
I think this one is my favorite/the one I'm getting. I wasn't expecting the blue to look metallic? I do wish there was more layering of colors with multiple blues and creams instead of just one or two and a wash.
@@Ilostmycactus was t there a study done to suggest that some species of dinosaurs were capable of bioluminescence? Not sure if Gorgosaurus had that particular trait but if so, metallic paints are the best way to showcase that. Also we know from areas that the animal was discovered in were mostly in costal environments surrounded by cliff sides and mountainous regions made up of mostly limestone and basalt. So the blue and cream colored hues depicted here would make for great natural camouflage
Awesome review as always my friend. This was the only one I backed on KS from wave 3, looks and sounds like I made the perfect choice, even if it was more influenced by it going alongside the BOTM Centrosaurus and Chasmosaurus 😁
Such an awesome figure. Definitely has huge visual impact within the Wave 3 releases. But in all honesty I love the paint apps on all the four large wave 3 releases. The metallic blue colour choice is really interesting on this Gorgo. It would be nice to think this was a homage to the wonderful BBC Walking with Dinosaurs Ultimate Gorgon from the 3D movie, manufactured as 9" and 22" articulated figures in 2012. These were also metallic blue and fantastic sculpts, I believe from the amazing paleo-artist David Krentz.
The relationship between Gorgosaurus & Daspletosaurus even including Albertosaurus is very awesome and quite unique but later studies or understanding says Gorgosaurus and Albertosaurus would've hunted the ceratopsians of their ecosystem, and Daspletosaurus would've hunted the hardosaurids in ecosystems. Regardless This is an amazing review on GORGEOUS figure.
Definitely getting this and the Utahraptor 🎉 the Gorgo has been my favorite of this line since it’s initial reveal and I can’t wait to put it up against the adult Centrosaurus
This is the one im getting! Also does any one else feel kinda disappointed that the Tarbosaurus is the exact same size as the albertosaurus and gorgo even tho it was really just slightly smaller than T rex
Tarbo is a unique case. It would’ve required a whole entire new body mold. Since parts sharing is a big part of keeping costs down it wouldn’t have been feasible.
@@DinoScreamReviews yeah I saw the prototype and thought nah they aren't gonna replicate that. Like this is gonna be the only figure we're I'm not gonna give it a wash, dry brush, or down right repaint. They need to put the guy you mentioned in charge of having them painted.
Here's a video suggestion, make a Prehistoric, Late Cretaceous Alberta, Canada with Gorgosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus, Centrosaurus and Daspletosaurus with mainly BOTM but you could add the PNSO and Hoalongggod figures if they have one
I knew you’ve might have got it Also in my opinion Kosmoceratops, Utahceratops, Eotyrannus, and Alectrosaurus are peak figures with Daspletosaurus, Gorgosaurus, Chasmosaurus, and Sinoceratops being close too
Holy crap, that's one beautiful gorgo. More like 'gorgeous' saur. Gorgosaurus is my favourite Tyrannosaur of all time and BOTM did not disappoint!!
Agreed
Gorgosarus is my favorite dinosaur 🦖
Gorgosaursu was blue the same way Carnotaurus was red, it's an unwritten rule everyone accepts
Exactly
Carnotaurus being depicted as red came from Disney's Dinosaur (2000). Gorgosaurus being depicted as blue came from Walking with Dinosaurs 3D (2013).
Carnotaurus has cold colors in my head canon (yeah the Dinosaur King influence). I agree about Gorgo being blue tho
@@AndyCog_1710 It's ok to be wrong
what about daspletosaurus being purple or is it just me
I've been waiting 2 damn years for this, when I saw this I drew it and it's what got me into doing paleoart.
This is my most anticipated figure in the entire line! I ordered this along with the Daspletosaurus, looking forward to having those two displayed together!
Another awesome tyrannosaur from wave 3 the beast of the Mesozoic line keeps getting better and better and this gorgosauris is no exception

I hear you. Big blue Toro is my favorite from the ceratopsians. But know alot of people aren’t a fan of the color.
@@bosimon04 tbh blue for gorgo is iconic. Every famous design is blue thats why no one complains about it. Btw my favourite figure in all botm
Idk why, both figures look really good

Pre ordered this guy and the alberto to display with my pachyrhino! So hyped!
I'm highly tempted. The blue on this Gorgosaurus is majestic.
Love the color and the pattern 😍
Big blue boi. Definitely getting this guy if I ever have the chance to. Would do well positioned beside the blue fans choice Torosaurus

@@DinoScreamReviews thats what I was thinking 🤔
The head looks great
Yeah def one of my fav botm figures so far
La calidad de tu modelo es mejor que la que nos está llegando a todos que paso ahí David los demás clientes o fans no valemos lo mismo
Está hermoso!!! Lo quiero
Why does the gorgo have the most realistic paint job? It looks like someone sat there for hours painting it making it look like real scales.
Probably has do alot with Shane Foulkes doing the color master for it. Also props to the factory for replicating perfectly!!

Shane Foulkes is also an amazing sculptor
man i can't wait to buy Gorgo so i can recreate Prehistoric beast with my BOTM centrosaurus
My only critique is that the head sculpt is laterally flattened a bit too much, but otherwise an outstanding Gorgosaurus.
This color makes me think of Gorosaurus from Godzilla.. And a bit of Gorgon from WWD 3D.
I knew you’ve might have got it

I just want the Yutyrannus
2:26 it was probably given that color because of Gorgon from walking with dinosaurs
Hmmmm...I didn't think 'Monoclonius' existed anymore.
You should have compare him to carno
First Daspletosaurus then Gorgosaurus, what's next Moros intrepidus because those are 3 figures I've pre-ordered so far. lmao.
Das and Gorgo are the only two for me for early reviews. I’m sure Spinodude and/or Bionicle got the others.
I want to get this for the sculpt, but I really hate that paint scheme.
When did we all just decide Gorgo was blue
Walking With Dinosaur 3D
Very stiff neck range.. cool figure tho
