I plan half of my vacation and then wing the other half. Because sometimes you just have to enjoy not having a schedule and do what you feel like in the moment.
A Stumpt European tour would be amazing! When I plan a vacation, I pay special attention to things like public transport lines, schedules, restaurants and sights and their opening hours, but I don't make a day-to-day plan. When I've got the basics down, I can choose different activities based on the weather or how I'm feeling at the moment. That said, I tend to find traveling very stressful and anxiety inducing, but oh man I'd love to go on a vacation now.
I feel like there's another side of the vacationer spectrum, the relaxer. I don't plan or do, I just pick a location to go to and stay there relaxing and drinking the entire time, like a week at a beach resort just eating room service or at the bar and napping on the sand or near the pool all day. No driving around getting lost, no taxis, no visiting 17 different locations for 20 minutes each in one afternoon, that's what most of my family does and whenever I go on "vacation" with them I feel like I need a real vacation after.
My boyfriend and I don't plan except for where we are going. We get in the car and drive we stop at places that look cool and find a place to sleep when we get tired. We have driven from coast to coast in the US.
I’m with Jazzy, I surround my self with planners. I will pick the restaurants but I’m not planning excursions. Cause I’m too anxious to do any of that. Take me with you to Japan !!!
Speaking of spiders, the huntsman spider is an Australian spider which prefers woody and warm places. [such as your house ;) ] Also, it can eat small birds, geckos, and frogs. They are poisonous, however their bite only causes mild nausea and headaches. Thanks for the videos stunpt crew, and I hope yall keep enjoying what yall do, because I sure do :D
Tbh I'm more of a stay at home kind of person, I don't really like going on vacation but when I do go on vacation I plan so much because my anxiety won't let me go without planning
I tend to plan vacation days loosely, I like looking up local tours or tours in particular historical sites so I just need to book those and let myself be led around places
Prineville Reservoir State Park near Bend has been certified as an International Dark Sky Park and is the first Oregon park to make the list of the places around the world with the least nighttime light pollution.
"it looks hot and humid over there and I don't do hot" The weather in Australia during autumn especially today: "fuck its cold and miserable... imma watch RUclips under a blanket today"
One of the best parts of being a USN officer was all the traveling I was able to do. I went to so many places that had it not been for joining the Navy I never would have seen.
When I plan, it's with parameters. I know I'll be travelling from this day to this day, and will be in these places. But specifics? I wake up in the morning, and figure it out from there. Of course, most of what I'm planning these days are cycle touring and backpacking trips, so, the specifics depend on the terrain and availability of water... :-D
If I ever went on vacation, I'd definitely want to explore on my own and not plan if it's somewhere I've never really been. Sure I'd probably end up looking up some places, but I'd want to just explore on my own
I plan some of my trip, i like to go to museums and other places like that, maybe see some natrual world of the place i am going to, but i also like to make sure i have some to just lounge and relax.
I don’t have an hourly itinerary but I like to know about what I’m doing throughout the day. Because of the pandemic so many things are limited so you have to book it in advance and you can’t just wing it. But I do leave some time in when traveling to let say “shop, walk around, sight see”. I think for places like Japan because it can be expensive and limited in time you have to basically plan by the hour though. Some places you can just kind of wing it more.
I've been to Australia with my family in I think it was 2019. As a brit who already hates our summers and wants colder weather, Australian winter was actually pretty nice. I only saw 2 active spiders the entire time and they were both really small non-threatening ones in the bathroom corners. It's still hot but it's not the humid kind of hot which makes British summers so unbearable because it doesn't 'stick' to you. Also it gets quite cold at night. So if you want to visit Australia but don't like the heat or spiders or snakes, southern hemisphere's winter is the time to go for you
I just pin everything to the google map and then wing it on the day. Try planning before, didn't work. You got the best of both worlds, you know where to go but didn't have to take the stress to keep the schedule. The nice thing about this is when I have to go again I just take the old map and update it a bit.
I did something like what ash is describing, it was called people to people student ambassadors and we spent 2 or 3 weeks in France, Italy, and Greece. We also spent 3 or 4 days staying with a family
I'm not a planner because I want to get surprised by what I find when traveling around! If it's close it's closed and if it's open then it's open. I understand why planning is important but sometimes a little risk can be fun!
me with absolute crippling anxiety (like, too scared to check into a hostel sometimes) do not plan my vacations at all. I plan other things. But if I planned my vacations it would probably give me even more anxiety because what if something doesn't go as planned?! (I'm a solo kind of person btw, no one who requires planning!)
EF Is still a thing. Right before the start of the pandemic, My son was supposed to have gone with his middle school to DC and New York for 4 days. That trip cost nearly 3 grand! We're low income so with out my grandma paying for it and allowing us to repay her, my son wouldn't have opportunities.
Gaming is my vacation. I get to vacation every day. Lately I've been enjoying a good old time out in the Borderlands (2) of Pandora. Lots of hunting on Pandora. Bullymongs, Varkids, Hyperion Loaders. I've also been positively enamored with Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. For me, that is more than a vacation. That is my dream home. The *only* travel plans I'm making are for moving to Switzerland.
My parents moved 8 hours away and my mom enjoys deciding what we'll do on visits so she can show her grandkids things. So I drive and plan out where to stop with the family and once we're all together at my parents' place we decide what day we'll do what that my mom picked out.
i am the itinerary type of person, the farthest i planned something was 4 months because i had to do my passport which takes 2 months and then buy plane tickets 2 months ahead to get the good prices.
I plan vacations and parties in advance. It has taken a lot of practice not working myself up over everything I plan though. I have anxiety so I plan but I also have anxiety about plans going to plan which stresses me out sometimes. Sometimes leads to disappointment but what can ya do?

For vacations, I go with family which usually includes my cousin, who has an itenery so I just follow her plans.
Did you guys know that there a is vegetarian spider called the Bagheera kiplingi and the are sea spiders.

Love you guys you guys are amazing been watching you for years ❤ keep up the great work
I have a friend who will be studying abroad in Europe next year. It’ll be a little sad without her here but I’m sure she’ll have fun
I think the spiders being referenced are golden silk orb weavers which can grow to the size of the palm of your hand

I like my vacations to be planned because if they weren't I'd probably just relax at the hotel, in which case I might as well have just stayed home.
I love your guys videos so much. Never stop creating!
I absolutely love Stumpt podcast! 😋
I like to plan some things but give myself some wiggle room to venture out and explore spots I’ve never seen or done before.

I have a general idea what I want to do on a trip but wing it from day to day.
My parents moved 8 hours away and my mom enjoys deciding what we'll do on visits so she can show her grandkids things. So I drive and plan out where to stop with the family and once we're all together at my parents' place we decide what day we'll do what that my mom picked out.

I plan vacations and parties in advance. It has taken a lot of practice not working myself up over everything I plan though. I have anxiety so I plan but I also have anxiety about plans going to plan which stresses me out sometimes. Sometimes leads to disappointment but what can ya do?
