Hi, guys! I just wanted to leave this info for those who have the punches and have forgotten the sizing: for the regular sized punch around the page punches, your sizes need to be 3.25, 5, and/or 6.75...basically 1.75" increments. For the Large punch around the pages...2" increments, like 4, 6, 8, 10, etc...
What a beautiful card...love how you remind us to pull out our items we may have forgotten about cuz we forgot how they work...loved these punches but always used them separately...now I can line them up....great tip on snipping off some of the petals to make flowers smaller. Thank you Vianney. I always learn so much from you. ♥️♥️♥️
YAY! Bust it out! Love my punches! The only problem I have is that I don't use them very often so when I do use them, I have to re-learn how to use them! It's so worth it thought. Thank you for sharing this today! Lovely card!
Thank you Vianney 😊 I have several punches for around the page and lost the instructions but now thanks to you 👍 I will be able to use them. I learn something new a lot of the times so I look forward to your videos.....and of course, I laugh at my husband when I'm watching you because he says he doesn't understand anything you say because you jump around from one subject to another....but I enjoy all the information you give us.
Oh my gosh. I just found this helpful instruction site from you with my exact punch. I got out my punch, this exact one and forgot what the paper measurements were. I ruined sheets and sheets of samples. I couldn’t figure it out. Then I searched and found a site that gave really strange measurements. I searched more and found this exact punch that I also have. You helped me get back on track🤦🏻♀️. I haven’t used these for a continuous square in 13 years. That’s how long I have had them. I have left myself notes for the future 🙆🏻♀️. OMGOSH that was tricky. Also, to do the square, like the 6 inch, you have to always move to the left. I DID IT. 10 sheets of paper later. 😂🤣😂 Thank goodness you put this video up. This actually used to be my favorite punch. I should use it more often. ☺️
So happy to see you resurrect the MS punches, as I was just playing with mine recently and wondering why we don't use them anymore. They do a beautiful job, as you've proven for us once again. Thank you-
Very pretty card. Don’t always have to have the latest and greatest to make something beautiful. But then again, those punches and dies were the latest and greatest at one time. Does make me want to dig out my Martha punches.
Beautiful card! I started my cardmaking back in the day using Martha Stewart punches before moving to the Cuttlebug and die cutting. Right after I discovered your channel in 2020 I found your video about the punch around the pages punches which were sitting in the box from HSN, because I never could get them to work right. Your video helped but I decided that they were still way too much trouble, so they were donated to the local thrift store with the original instructions. I still have all the edge punches including this set, so I need to do my own bust it out! Thanks for the sizing information!
Thank you so very much for the inspiration, I always get inspired to do something new after watching you. I have some of those punches but never knew how to use them.😁
It’s a beautiful card and a great job of using the stash. I, too, have many Martha Stewart punches in my stash. They are so heavy and sometimes I have a hard time squeezing them. I also have the WE R Memory Keepers punches that (in one physical punch) can cut around any size (in increments of 2”) of Cardstock and make a beautiful border. They came out in a large size and then a smaller size. I wasn’t using them, so I de-stashed by giving them to my cousin. She loved them and used for crafts at the senior center where she works. I also have some very intricate punches I bought to use in heritage crafting. They haven’t seen the light of day in probably 15 years. I think I’ll have to pull them out and give them a try. I guess somehow, I love the dies.and they are easy on my hands. Thanks for another great video.
I LOVE my MS punches. I never understand why they go out of style other than maybe the space they take up, but they always get re-discovered again. And the quality is amazing. Your card is probably one of the prettiest you've made yet!
Your card is gorgeous!!! Everything just went together perfect. I too have a few M.S. punches that work like that and trying to remember the sizing for the paper, but they turn out pretty when your done. And I too have that same circuit cartridge, and have made many cards from that one. I loaded my cartridges along time ago, but something happen and some of my cartridges were too longer there and I had to take pictures of them to send to them in order to get them back on, so that was a pain, but got them back on.
Cute video. I have lots of those punch around the page punches and had planned to get rid of them, now not sure but I may have an instruction sheet, if I do I’ll forward it to you. Always enjoy your videos
I had a MS punch that was supposed to go around the page but I couldn't ever get it to work right. I believe I got rid of it. LOL! I still have a lot of MS edge punches though. I've kept all of those. I got my little plastic snap kit you previewed a few days ago from Amazon with all the colored snaps! That was fast and I don't have Prime. Anyway, it's super cute. Can't wait to use it!!
Hi Vianney, this was a fun video. I love that bow and the leaves die. I was sorta proud of myself today. My Origami shelf from HSN came and my Carte Noire. There was a foam piece on the shelf and I kept it and used it in my Marquise along with an AG die to add embossing! It worked great.
I have several of those punch rounds and never could make them work. I’m going to dig them out now. Thanks for sharing how to use them. Love your card.
Glad to help! I did put some more sizing information in the description box, that may help you with the different punch sizes (regular versus the Large ones, like I used). TY!
@@VianneyCreates Oh my goodness, I went to look up on amazon her punch. WOW! Wonder if they sell any at that price. Thanks for the measurements. I printed it off and will put it with my punches. Thanks again
Your card came out beautiful. I have a lot of Martha Stewart punch around the page. They are very pretty but the sizes on paper is different on each one and difficult to figure out so I usually do one side of paper for a border.
I only have a few of the MS punches, and just bought the WRMK ones at HSN on craft day, wish I had kept the instructions as I have to do just like you did! I really should right them down next time! Great reminder to buat them out and use! Such a pretty card!
OMG!!! I have A BUNCH of those Martha Stewart punches. Some are in a bin in a cubby in here, but I have half a tub's worth garage that I've been conteplating destashing. I never thought of puttinG them on EBAY! lol BTW, THAT CARD is breathtaking! BTW, THAT Teal Blue is my favorite color! I'm hoarding my stash like a squirrel, but I do use it. XOXO
Have you tried the punch doctor spray? I read that punches don't work well when the lubricant they were made with dries up. And that it's common for that to happen when we don't use our stuff. But for some reason when they're lubricated well, the cut really good again. I've heard people say it's true. I bought the punch doctor spray but I haven't tried it yet 🤞 such a great bust it out! Beautiful card!!
Martha Stewart punch around the page directions #1 ( for the larger punches) Your beginning paper size must be a combination of any two of these measurements: 4 inches, 6 inches, 8 inches, 10 inches, or 12 inches. Punch the corners first. Martha Stewart punch around the page directions #2: ( for the smaller punches) Your paper size must be a combination of any two of these measurements: 3.25 inches, 5 inches, 6.75 inches 8.5 inches, 10.25 inches or 12 inches Punch the corners first. You have helped me SO many times I am happy to be able to assist you.
Thank you, I did add that info earlier as a pinned comment and in the description box. I hope folks see them, I should have spoken about it more in the video after I remembered.
I really like this, but I feel like I have Thinlits that would give basically the same look. If I discover any of these punch around punches in my stash, I will feel comfortable getting rid of it. Don’t think I have any though.
When I use mine, I punch in a straight line rather than doing the corners first and then trying to figure out alignment in between the corners. Also, I see yours have the little notch to align up the pages as well. :)
TYSM! I actually found some of the original instructions, and they do say to punch the corners first. However, a lot of my ladies (like you) say you do the straight sides first! I don't recall what I used to do, it's been so long. I feel like each punch set had their own sizing, that was part of the frustration.
The card turned out beautiful. Those double MS punches are sometimes hard to figure out. Think I've got 2 & they are not used too often. Be safe, be well 7 TYFS
Love my punches some of them go bad and stick or wont cut the stainless steel gets messed up not sure how. I thought with the punch around the page punches you are supposed to punch the middle of the paper first then each corner. It looked good your punched doily! Lastly you could cut up to 5 sheets all at once of paper with that thick of a die. I did upload my carts last year just by putting in the cartridge…wow my last Circut broke I thought because I left a cartridge in the port for months Had to buy another Cricut but regretted instantly bc I feel like it was damaging my Mac with all the updates last year alone. I hardly ever use ny Cricut Air 2. Smh 🤦🏽♀️ Tfs! Christine
I USE TO BUY THE PUNCHES IN HSN MARTHA AND REALLY LOVE THEM BUT WHEN II WAS WORKING IT WAS HARD TO GET THEM THEY WOULD BE SOLD OUT AND NOW WHEN THEY SELL ON E BAY THE PERSON WANT THE AMOUNT 4 TIME OR MORE .
You are supposed to put the metal shim under the paper you are cutting. From the bottom, the order should be cutting plate, metal shim, paper, die, (magnetic shim), plastic shim, and finally the top cutting plate.
TY! You can actually do whatever you like to make the sandwich...you're looking for the thickness. I mean other than cutting into mats you shouldn't...right? Like the plastic shim or the rubber mat. It's funny bc when I bought the Junior years ago...the sandwiches they say to use are different from what Sara does. I do the way I showed bc I like to keep the metal shim closest to the die (sometimes I cut into it)...as not to damage the plastic shim. I use the metal shim as a "guard," if you will. Thanks, again!

I'm so glad! That is so kind. Sometimes, I don't know how to "land the plane" as it were, but I think people enjoy seeing the process. (;

Very pretty. You do good work. Keep it up. Enjoy watching.
I was screaming you have to punch the corners first...lol. Beautiful card Vianney I liked the colors you chose.
I did, didn't I? TYSM!

Hi Vianney, your card is gorgeous and I love the word in blue! Thanks for sharing! 😍
Love the card. I love MS punches, I have a huge amount of them. Thanks Vianney for a fun video.
I destashed about half of them...and now I regret it! (Of course!!) LOL! I still have tons, so it's ok...I won't dwell on it!
OMG GOSH WOW! THAT IS GORGEOUS! Really love this card.
Awww, you are too kind! TYSM!!

Very beautiful card. 💙
I love your card and the colors are so good together. Thanks for the video, gives me some ideas. Be blessed.

Turned out really pretty. I’ll have to dig out my old boarder punches and give them a try
For sure! I'm going to sharpie the size increments on the punches...that way I don't have to figure it all out again! LOL!
So pretty, I have to get get my husband to punch them for me ,Your card came out so pretty...Thank you so much and Have a Beautiful Blessed Day!
I have those punches I mostly used them for scrapbooking
Such a pretty card.
I love your bust it out videos. I have these and used them briefly OLdy but goodies
I used to use them a lot on mini albums...as borders. Not so much to cut a doily type design. Maybe you'll bring yours out. (:

I love these The grandkids know these are stuff they can used without asking lol
I love mine. I've had it for years. I worked at Michael's and would buy them when they were on sale.
Right? I think I have all of them...the ones I destashed were the single punch type. Enjoy yours!

LOL! Get those on eBay, girl!! People have lost their mind, asking for $50-125+!! Who's buying them is what I want to know! LOL!!

I know. I have lots of stuff, I can't possibly know what folks have...but maybe people can still glean some info from the project! TYSM!
Beautiful card
Thank you so much 😊
Well done love that card
Awww, thank you so much!
Very nice card, do you know what die the bow came from. I couldn’t fine any mention of it in the description. Thanks 😊

One more quick question. Vianney, you know of any "normal" craft dies that would cut this pretty flower?
Hmmm, like a die that isn't in a circular shape? I'm not sure what you mean. There are lots of dies out there that cut rolled or quilled flowers.
Love my punches some of them go bad and stick or wont cut the stainless steel gets messed up not sure how. If you flip the the punch there are guides you have to align the punch at
I'm pretty sure I did that...not sure what you mean.
