      @@meladgoat I was a teenager when Em first came on the scene. Our lives were very different growing up, but his music always appealed to me bc I could relate to a lot of his songs. Watching the progression from his crazy young self to the level that he has achieved up to this point has been a huge inspiration for me. He took his struggles and used them to create a legacy, but that gets mostly overlooked nowadays. The speech made me tear up bc I have never overlooked his success, and in part, have used it as motivation to create my own. Our struggles were very different, but our focus and drive are the same.

    Now that I think of it, Eminem actually started his career as a “famous rapper” pretty late compared to other rappers of his caliber. Only one I can think of that started this late was probably MF DOOM who was 1 year younger than Eminem I believe.
    Isn’t Snoop Dogg the same age as Eminem? And he released his debut a little bit before Eminem.
