Very nice performance, both music and dance! Congratulations to the musicians and performers involved!
IMO, the melody in the first part of the clip, up to 1.15, sounds quite the standard Romanian-style Csardas. Then also, in the next part of the performance, I recognized some Transylvanian-specific tunes, maybe in a speedier rhythm than usual (the Gypsy influence?). But the dance is Magyar-style, maybe with some Gypsy influence... However, very good show!
For anybody interested to see a musical comparison between the Magyar, Romanian and Gypsy styles of Csardas, look here ruclips.net/video/wULYisEuKeU/видео.html - this is a clip recorded at the National Museum of Romanian Peasant in Bucharest, in 2010. The performers are from Transylvania, and the order of the interpretation is: Romanian style-csardas, followed by the Magyar version, then by the Gypsy one. The Romanian style is more quick than the Magyar, but less speedy than the Gypsy tune. But all three sound great!
PS: If, by a miracle, I would be young again, I would definitely learn (or at least try my best to learn) three kinds of traditional dances:
- The famous Romanian dance Călușarii (as performed here ruclips.net/video/rbLRofCSHt4/видео.html)
- The Magyar Csardas (to the master level of Istvan!)
- The Caucasian Lezginka (as seen here, in the Georgian style ruclips.net/video/-B8lf2KkHfo/видео.html)

BINE BINE DE TOT.
Ezek sem őrkői táncok, inkább küküllőmentiek.
?? egy szólótáncfesztiválon ekkorát tévednének?
they are not gypsies😂👌🏼
How do u know?
Erdelyi vagy?
Here's a mistake. All of this songs are 100% romanian, not gipsy. And the dance is far far away from the real gipsy dance. This is probably just a "theatrical" demo :)
What do you think about the folklore? The folkmusic has not boarder the cultures have interaction. I think if a music is played for the romanains that is romanians folk music. If it is played for gypsies than it is is gypsy folk music. If it is played for both it is part of the romanian or gypsy folklore.
what is the "real gypsy dance"? That is not similar to any? What is the romanian dance? What the romanians are dancing, or not? But the romanian dances on Oas is complete different what is danced near Bucuresti. The Oas dance is part of the Charpatian basin culutre, while the dances near Bucuresti are a dialiect of the Balkan. But both of course romanians dances, even they are not similar. The gypsy dances near Kosice are complet different then near Brasov. But they are gypsy dances. The tromanians dannce also csárdás in Transilvania. but that dance has hungarian origin, but part of romanians folklore. The folklore is that what the people do. And in time thanks for the interaction it is changing.
Indimenticabil I very much doubt that the music from 1:27 is Romanian. Please refine your views. :) The name of the dance is romanyos which means something like: " like Romanian, similar to Romanian", and ciganyos, which means "like Gipsy, similar to Gipsy". Nobody robbed you of your culture, cultures meet and interact and enrich one another. I adore orkoi romanos gipsy dance music, just because of all the flavours mixed together. It is very nice. I very much like Romanian, Hungarian and Gipsy folk music on their own, but I also like mixes. And more or less all folk music is mixed, you can t really take them apart. What I think is a 100 per cent Hungarian or Romanian tune may be an oriental tune, or Albanian, or Bulgarian, only musicologists know what. Therefore I just enjoy.
Annamari Albert Sorry but I do not accept lessons from foreigners -Transylvania's
outsiders. Both of you knows about this folklore from TV's and RUclips. I was born and I live here, I grow up with this music, my grandfather was a viola instrumentist in a vilage folk band. Of course, influences exists but they are insignificant. Mixes?.. not really. Only in the eyes of the foreigners here is a "gulyás.", in reality is not. Natives know very well their own music. The musicians also know exactly the origin of any song and if it is romanian, hungarian or gypsy. Mixing impression is only because most of the bands are gypsy bands, they have the same musical instruments and playing style is the same
Well, that is not nice at all
+MrFefefofo Sehe nicht so : wen rroma eine Bayerische Volkstanz tanzen , dann es ist rroma Volkstanz ; oder ?
