So excited for you and your partner on your new journey! We sold our house in the city, left jobs, pensions, friends and family and moved off grid 3 years ago when the cov crazies started. Just wish we did this earlier. 120 acres, goats, sheep, pigs turkeys, chickens, guineas, cats and guardian dogs, growing, almost all of our own food and learning to find alternatives for what we think we need, like now growing cane sorghum for sweetener, along with bees for honey. Living the dream, love to see others doing the same. Abundant blessings to you and your little community!
Back in the early 90's, Me my Lab, Rottweiler and 4 Iguanas rolled from Va. to Az. in a 1978 Ford Bronco towing a U-Haul trailer with most of my stuff. about 2350 miles.. AHH the good ole days 👍
Congratulations on your new homestead adventure. We bought in the high desert AZ. So nice to see more like minded off grid folks coming to the desert. We are currently in Ohio making some money before heading back to the land in spring. I’ve been doing land work solo but hoping to have more community, work stay, earth build workshops etc in the coming years. It’s not easy starting from scratch in the desert but the freedom & cost of living is so worth it. 🌞
Welcome down here lol I see you have lots of big trees. We only 1 tree in sight where we are. I wish you the very very best in life. We have a group, we all help each other and celebrate everyone's birthdays. We had a smaller cor group that would come to our house for Thanksgiving and Christmas. But some moved, and one passed away. I can't wait to see what the two of you build now. ❤
Welcome to Arizona! I’ve lived in Arizona (Maricopa County) for 30 years. Recently purchased 7 acres in Navajo County to Homestead/Farmstead on. What county are you in? Looking forward to seeing your homestead develop. I’m sure I’ll learn something from the two of you as you document your Arizona journey.
I appreciate the welcome thank you, I'll only say that we're not in Maricopa county...😅😉 but we'll have plenty of ideas for everyone to gain inspiration for themselves. Im sure people might know some things, but hopefully we can present some new ideas and concepts to everyone as well.
Hey Elisabeth! I grew up in Maricopa county (the Phoenix area) and don't know why I stayed there so long (about 40 years). I've been in Yavapai county now for about 6 years, cabin and ambo life in Prescott and now off-grid in Seligman. It's sorta fun watching all these folks moving to the Arizona high desert.
Got my follow. You are truly living the dream. From the ground up is the most stable way spiritually. The principle of growth means something is planted. You have planted yourself in beauty. Keep rising bro
Dont underestimate Arizona climate!! Almost impossible to garden, been trying for along time , wind, cold, heat look out bro, and dont be so paranoid telling us where your at lol😊
I mean we're from Montana, wind, heat, dry, and extreme cold weather is the normal. We will hopefully show our style of growing down here despite the challenges and hopefully success.... but you never know who's watching 👀
Glad to catch up with what your doing and excited to see what your journey entails. Glad you have your animals and plants and are ready to rock and roll. Community and support around you is a huge plus for sure. I look forward to following your journey as you have time to share.
I am thinking of this type of move….without giving too much away, are you in northern AZ, southern AZ? what was it about the property you purchased that was most important to you? is the soil on your property suitable for a rammed earth type structure? Congrats on your move and hope to hear back from you, Mac
I'll answer those questions in the next couple videos I'll be posting. In my experience, Definitely think carefully about your move, planning is essential as a guide because things don't always go as planned, but at least you have a plan "map" so to speak to new able to follow and adjust. Thanks for your support.✌🏾
That looks like gold bearing soil. Wouldn't that be a cool source of income for your new adventure. You will be missed her in Clarkston. But I plan to follow you here on RUclips. Enjoy.
We actually established a group before buying the property. We all have our own separate 10 acres but are all connected. People are free to come and help and learn if they choose. Appreciate the question. ✌🏾
Sorry it took me so long to get to watching this one but I been sick for weeks now and am way behind on video. Got to pick your fights video can wait Hungary or thirsty farm animals cannot wait. Locking forward to what you do there and even a small Earthship needs to be done soon You can die in an RV in the summer there. Peace.

@ 4:51 WOW, You all rolled down from Montana, 👍
Indeed! Wanted to get away from the extreme cold. We had got down to -70 last winter! ✌🏾
@@GrowTreeOrganics yep, that's pretty dang cold.
Will be following along! 🙌

Hey bro our property is 30 min north of douglas. Off north canyon leslie rd.
Perhaps we can plan a day to meet...? Always good to meet like minded people. ✌🏾
some of us are meeting for lunch once a month in Seligman if you are close enough??
That's awesome! Where abouts do you guys meet? You can message me from our Facebook page @Organic Oasis Farm ✌🏾
Do you guys have an application process for new residents to come live & help build it?
We actually established a group before buying the property. We all have our own separate 10 acres but are all connected. People are free to come and help and learn if they choose. Appreciate the question. ✌🏾
We plan on selling our home , money we make from the sale we will too
What prompted your move from Montana? Good luck there.
Better opportunity! Thank you!✌🏾
