Even if at times his energy reads as a bit selfish, or Peter Pan like, I think his worries are extremely valid, considering who he is and how up in the ladder he’s at, specially since he hasn’t stopped working from the moment he got discharged till now. The momentum for this new chapter in his stardom is just about to propel him, so I don’t know how putting in the work to make a relationship flourish would be possible. Moreover, he’s always been very open about kind of running away from seriousness (not that he’s not able to be serious, but he’s just generally very lighthearted). I just try to put myself in his shoes and I believe I’d have the same anxieties. Idols sadly have a professional lifespan similar to athletes and sport players, very short, so the older they get the smarter they have to be to keep their longevity and/or diversify. Stopping right now to become a family man (when he isn’t even sure he wants that) doesn’t seem like the right move, but I get why he would yearn for that lifestyle anyway…
