- What's better than a day of exploring back roads on your Rebel 1100?...grabbing tacos and a margarita beforehand, of course! Today I got out for a few hours of some of my favorite backroads, some exploring, trying birria tacos for the first time, and even rounded the day out with some ice cream in Downtown Annapolis. To me, this right here is EXACTLY what riding a motorcycle is all about, and I can't think of a better bike to do it on than my Honda Rebel 1100!

I'm sure you've thought about this, but you should do a taco tour. All the best taco stands, trucks, etc in the country...or at least a few States.

Pooh sticks - yaay. I live about 5 miles from the actual Pooh Bridge (Near Hartfield in the Ashdown Forest), so have been there a few times - the trouble is that all the nearby woodland is pretty much devoid of sticks and twigs now as they've longsince been sent downstream by visitors, so it's a good idea to bring your own!.

Did you mean "birria" tacos? That is lamb meat and it is very rich and tasty. The sauce can be spooned onto the taco, and yes, it'lll drip all the way down your arm. Eating baby lambs is sinful but delicious. Can't really give you a thumbs up for the margarita then riding backroads without armor.. But hey, ride your own ride. I'm glad you enjoy the Rebel 1100. I think I'm finally ready for my first cruiser and that might be sporty enough for me.

Good content, funny stories, tacos, good bike reviews. I started watching because the 1100 rebel looks like the best new bike out there. Plenty of power and not too much useless gadgets and the right price. I'm dying for some tacos or burritos. Haven't found any in Argentina. Don't knock the old people. You will get there and everything will hurt.

I'm loving the content and review of 1100 honda 👌 I'm considering it as purchase, when it available at my local honda steelership. For now I'll continue rocking my 1984 v65 1100 magna thats been with me for 27yrs.

Purple panda is great... although it picks up everything.
I’m using a Sony ECM...ESM? Something like that 😂 I think it’s time for a new one soon because it’s been starting to pop when it picks up louder sounds like wind noise above ~50mph. I have a purple panda that I use with my wireless mic setup, but I prefer the sound of the Sony. I’ll probably just try a new one of what I have. This one has lived two years of abuse already lol
@@LifeOfBurch I’ve seen a few hacks on this. I’m going to try one. (Apple ear pod, cut mic... from what I’ve seen it sounds much better then the purple panda.)
I’ll keep you posted. Just trying a few options... I’m picking up way too much air, although I’m using the Ruroc atlas 2.
Did you fix the problem with the shaking at high speeds with your phone mounted like that? I have the same bike and was curious.
It’s only an issue if I have it pinned above like 80. It’s fine if I’m just casually cruising like this. Even if I’m cruising on the highway at 80 it’s fine, but once I floor it then the front end gets light enough that it’s a little sketchy. It’s fine for everyday use though.

Dude thanks for subscribing!! That means a lot to me! I haven’t ridden a CBR300 before, but I did have a Rebel 300 which has the same motor. I’ll say this- I was sick of the Rebel 300 within a month or two, but held onto my Rebel 500 for a year and would’ve kept it longer if the 1100 hadn’t been released. The jump from a 300 to 500 will keep you happy for much longer! It just makes the bike so much more capable!

My Rebel 500 is long gone unfortunately 😭 off to its new home in Connecticut! Thanks for the kind words though! I’d definitely help you out if I still had the 500! Maybe try checking for someone selling a Rebel 500 that has the T-Rex bars on it and ask them if they’d be willing to sell them separately?

Hey man, I'm ordering rebel 1100 because of your videos and reviews. Can you check into situation of people waiting for accessories that I saw on FB group? I really want to get front fairing, the big one from honda, I don't like simple clear windscreens on cruisers. Can you ask honda if they have one make video on them? I really want to see if this works and how well.
Love the videos. Question about your ram mount, they say that it’ll mess up phone cameras and that they won’t be able to focus when you go to take pics. Have you noticed anything like that?
No issues at all! From what I’ve heard, it’s the quad mounts that had that issue, not the ram mounts. And I believe the quad mounts even now have a rubber insert of some sort that fixes that issue. I know my buddy had his iPhone jacked up by a quad mount a year or so ago.

Didn't realize you were in Annapolis, I'm in salisbury. I'm in the research process of getting a bike. I'm a noob but I'm debating between duke 390 or the rebel 1100 DCT
Oh nice! Salisbury isn’t too far at all. Those are both two very different bikes, so I’d say test ride them both if at all possible. The Rebel will for sure be more of a long term bike though! The ktm will be fun, but you’ll outgrow it at some point.

I live in Bangkok. If a motorcycle doesn't lane split = there is something wrong with the rider (or a complete beginner)
Bike dimension matters when deciding which premium bike to get
Had a Street Bob 104 and a Rebel 300
The small Rebel did fine in the traffic, but Harley Softail was a nightmare due to its width
Honda Thailand doesn't provide test ride for Rebel models (not 300, 500, or 1100). A tough decision, but i looked it up. The dimension is similar to a Vulcan S 650
@@magmafist I see. Where I live, it’s technically illegal to lane split. But I still do it for safety and practicality. I’ve found that the 1100 does it just as easily as my 500!

Pursuant to §21-1303 of Maryland's Code of Transportation, it is illegal to ride between lanes in Maryland. In order to pass in Maryland, motorcycles must merge into the adjacent lane, pass, and merge back.

Everything is linked in my description! I film with a GoPro Hero 8 and I can’t remember the mic exactly. It’s a Sony something or other. ESM or ECM something.

Love the content. It’s just super cringy to watch you park the bike with the wheel turned to the right. It’s much easier for the bike to fall over (or for someone to knock it down) when turned to the right.
I promise I wouldn’t park my bike in a way that it could fall lmao if it’s too much of an incline or something I won’t park it like that. But it looks way better that way than turned to the left.

A big thing for new riders is: dont get focused on a point you dont wanna go to, cuz strange enough your brain and body will make you go to it.
