    Congrats to our guy Tranq for getting major shout outs from MJF. He doesn’t break character, so to get any praise from him, any interest from him, is a huge accomplishment in it of itself. Congrats on another great video and welcome back, champ.

      @@sofakingthe2nd286 I’ve seen Tranq praise MJF in the videos discussing Punk and reviewing PPVs. He hasn’t done a full length video until this one, but maybe he was saving it. It was worth the wait imo.

      @@ennisshabab9557 yes it’s a tweet and I believe it’s right at the beginning of this video. It’s a blink and you miss it screen shot, but it’s there. MJF apparently is a fan, and I can’t blame him. Tranq does great work and stays positive, even when honestly critiquing.

    MJF has been great since before AEW but the Punk feud added layers to MJF no one could have imagined. A literal villain origin story.

    • @EdsterIII
      @EdsterIII Год назад

      A VERY WELL SAID COMMENT. Before the MJF-CM Punk feud, I knew about MJF, but I didn't know just how amazing he would become. I mean you could see that he was extremely talented and could really work a crowd. But once CM Punk entered the mix, MJF's levels skyrocketed! He became a bigger *ss and/or he added to his already intense hatred by the crowd, and he never let up. He is a phenomenal heel and a total bad*ss. And what's even more insane? He's still not even reached his peak yet. Not even close. At his young age he's already a extremely accomplished wrestler! And again he still has so many more layers he hasn't even used yet!

    • @thegame7134
      @thegame7134 Год назад

      @@EdsterIIIand now here we are in the end of October 2023 and MJF is the most over person in AEW no doubt and possibly all of wrestling right now. He’s just so good.

    When you asked why wrestling isn't as popular as it once was, I think that this video partially answers your question. Before the rise of social media, most wrestlers never broke kayfabe. You knew nothing about them. MJF is one of the only guys in the present age who truly understands how special that is.

    • @naxireal869
      @naxireal869 Год назад +2

      Nope, it's the sociological disconnect. There are plenty of heels in wrestling, there's no real babyfaces. Regular people dealing with financial struggles, the overwhelming majority fyi, don't care about petty quarrels between nepotistic rich kids. MJF's not the cure, he's a symptom of the problem.

    • @kartzzy6101
      @kartzzy6101 Год назад +2

      Agreed, I stopped enjoying, and eventually stopped watching WWE, because I couldn't buy into it anymore by suspending my disbelief. With the wrestlers just playing a character while doing the show, but then acting like their normal real selves online and in other TV appearances like interviews and the rest, I stopped seeing the people in the ring as believable wrestling personas, and now saw them as everyday regular people putting on their fake wrestler personas when in front of the WWE raw/smackdown cameras, only to shed the act when out of site of the shows cameras. MJF brought back that old school feel though where 99% of the time you cant discern between him being himself or him playing the act.

    Bravo my good sir! Excellent video. It’s important that we all remember this truth, that excellent professional wrestling is not “trash TV”, and not even a soap opera- it’s quality tv that’s can be an art-form of the highest level and MJF represent it as a character.
    As Bryan Danielson put it, in the night he debut in AEW, “show excellent professional wrestling to anyone, and he will be able to enjoy it- because excellent professional wrestling, is f*cking awesome!” ☺️

    He doesn’t need my praise or anyone else’s. He knows his value. And now the entire Wrestling and soon Entertainment World . He’s playing 4D chess and while others are playing checkers.
    He reminds me of the Great Roddy ROWDY Piper quote.
    "Just when they think they got the answers, I change the questions."

      Its good that you aren't a fan of him. 2 reasons
      1. If you are a fan of him, his character HATES you so much more than anyone else. It's unrequited love and he will always let you down. Often on purpose.
      2. MJF is a study on us as fans. If we like him as a character, with all of his darkness, what does that make us?
      Personally, I love him - and that's not a good thing. But I cant help it. His abilities and personality are magnetic for me.

    Cool to see you back and trying on more long-form content for size. I did notice something though that may be worth keeping in mind - your level of assumed audience knowledge seems to change partway through the video. You go from defining babyface and heel to saying "we all know what happened" at the All Out scrum. MJF could very well become a crossover star once people see him in movies, so I'd assumed early on you were trying to reach a wider audience than normal. It just messed with the tone of the script a bit.
