🖤🤗❤️
Ty
I always Liked them but lately ive been listening a a lot they are Amazing
Do you have a favorite performance? This one sounds fantastic. It took forever for the Cure to percolate through Mt. As a kid. I was lucky enough to have worked in a record store when KissMe/Disintegration came out. Then you know without musical prejudice.
Would love a great Disintegration era or focus concert to look out for.
It's impressive when you think that Robert was just 25 in 1984. How many of us achieved so much, so young.
Yes. THE pasos of time, non stop🇪🇸😝🥃🤔😆😅😂😂
Sooo good! I was just a dumb kid at 25, oh wait, still that dumb kid 😂
I got off with a girl when I was 17... POW!!
I thought I remember reading that he was sixteen or seventeen when the band started.
But it may have been that's when he was writing song's that would become Cure song's?
Come to think of it? I think it was the latter...
But yes, when they got started, they were pumping it out. If you've ever seen their very first TV performance, I think it's in 79. It's amazing version of a forest
84 i think
Rip Andy Anderson
I’d love to just watch a full behind the scenes of Robert doing things. Maybe my quality of entertainment has dropped - but watching him fuck around with chopsticks is very captivating
Best version of One Hundred Years. Robert’s improving on the guitar towards the end is mind-blowing.
This is the 1984 I wish we were living😩
Before The Cure in Orange, there was this... If you were lucky enough to find it !
They were in Better from here than in Orange.. Especially Robert..
It was such a powerful lineup ! Its to bad it didn't get more time to grow...Always had an ear for Andy Anderson's drumming. RIP
I used to have this vhs. It was stolen by a girl I was dating. This is perhaps one of the rarest and best of the cure.thank you to the person who uploaded for us to enjoy.
It’s like $3-400 if u wanna buy a copy 😂
Robert looked so cute at this concert
Saw them in ‘84. My first concert and it was so cool. I was right up front.
Absolutely crying at how bad the Lovecats was 😂 forgetting his words all over the place! Love you Robert
The back stage scene between 59:02 and 59:37 is hilarious. There are Chris Parry and Perry Bamonte running around and opening some bottle of wine or champaign, and Lol refusing to take a sip because he wants to get back on stage :)
Saw his first American tour 1982 the walk....hooked
Best Cure concert ever. That's a fact!
I very much appretiate the struggle with the chopsticks
Same here I seriously can't use them
このライブに行ったおねーさん方羨ましい!
はーい🙌 ありがとねぇ〜☺
Charlotte sometimes sounds divine in this live version
This concert featured more guitar work from Robert Smith than any I've seen - live or recorded. Porl Thompson usually carries more of a load on guitar.
Never forget you, Andy❤️
A hundred years performance is just dazzling. This line up was amazing.
Dare I say better than In Orange?
@@braxtonwages195 To me, Orange live version was impecable, this one in Tokyo was way intense. There’s also an amazing performance in Münich’s Alabama round those years. The sound is quite good and the line up were the same (Andy Anderson and Phil Thornally). All dress in black and a very sinister atmosphere.
Its to bad this lineup didn't have more time to grow... Always had an ear for Andy's drums. Rip
@@braxtonwages195 Not better just another diamond.
This version kicks ass, but if u really wanna hear one hundred years, check out Bosch de maasport 1984 and Washington Ontario theater 1984 versions, those two are just divine
Can we just get this on Blu-Ray already? Best Cure show ever imo
What a great set. Love it ♥️
Bring back the 80s in general, an amazing time for music.
What a cool line up at this period. Lol was there, and Porl. I wish Boris had been on drums already, it’d have been perfect.
Amazing performance.
I love that ZZ Top is being played in their dressing room! 🙂
I am so happy I experienced the 80s and 90s stream of timeless music and surreal lyrics. Long live the Cure ❤
to me the best Cure Era
Thats a fact..greets from germany Dirk
Never thought the Cure would be rocking ZZTop Deguelo backstage 14:19 before a concert.
Para los que gustamos de la música de The Cure, este registro es una joya. Agradezco desde ya por compartirlo. La conformación del álbum "The Top", ¡en vivo, genial!
Favourite era. I still remember the first time hearing "Shake Dog Shake".
My favorite band in my favorite country ❤ I had the chance to meet Robert Smith and the band ( Simon, Porl, Lol and Boris) in France in 1986 and spend an afternoon with them. Probably the best day of my life. I could have a picture of me with Robert. Wonderful souvenir ❤
Thanks for this material!
Ese moreno en la bateria fenomenal y la voz juvenil de smith...muy buen concierto....
Best band ever!! The whole band is on fire!! ❤🎼 ♥️
Please add any quality kickass vintage CURE shows from 1980-1983 if possible

Thanx for this ! probably one of the best The Cure line up !
This vid is insanely good. Thank you!
Excellent - I've seen so little video of this lineup and such great coverage of The Top. The audio is great and sounds a lot cleaner (less distorted) than "Concert". Excellent vid Thanks!
Tremendo recital, hermanoooooooooo
Me encanta shake dog shake, abrieron el recital tremendoo jajsaj
Many thanks for sharing this very unbelievable insane genious concert!
ありがとうございます。
"no we aren't doinf the one called Robert because it doesn't exist but we will do one called the empty world"
Love 12:51 just to see Robert going over the set list
Awesome concert...when concerts were 100% about the music. No special effects.
Apart from the flanger pedals.
Wow you really love your 1994❤❤❤❤
TROP BOOONNNN!!! OHH!!! THANKS JEYEM
I can see why he was my first real rock star crush at 15 ❤
Концерты the cure не хуже альбомов,а порой даже и лучше) ))))
Que recuerdo por dios!!!!
Hello from 2024
my fellow cure lovers, I need a tracklist *love heart emoji*
80 81 82 was their best....
when they played the lovecats i thought it was funny how robert was forgetting the lyrics lol
dope
powerfull
To była prawdziwa MUZYKA!
Good improving guitar like cure healing
Cure japan ☑️
que lindo robert
Ditto to other listeners' comments.. Read 'em ( hint: another prime example of crack back up and sound precision due to audience honor and reverance )
21:40 is my sleep paralysis demon
O Robert you were such a cute boy playing shy - what only became of you...only
thought play for today sounded off, but they just play their own way
Unfair how Andy Anderson was treated
how was he treated?
@@IzzyDikskdjd booted and treated as crazy and unreliable when he was a victim of racial profiling in France and Jaoan
In my opinion, the visual kei style of bands like X Japan, Luna Sea, Dir en grey exc was heavily influenced by the aesthetic of bands like The Cure.
Is Lol playing anything? It seems like he is only holding the keyboard.
LOL seems to just dry hump that keyboard most of the night I don't think he's playing a damn thing
Esa imagen de tímido que adoptó Robert.
Antes del pelo y el maquillaje era normal
1:00:25
Is this Perry Bamonte who is coming in at 59:05 ???
Yes when he was a roadie for them.
You can hear Robert say "It's alright Perry, I've got some"
Yes!
2 comentarios este concierto?¿?¿?¿?¿?¿?
Tremendo recital, estoy haciendo un maratón de recitales en esta cuarentena amigo , este esta alucinante !

God he was so hot 🥵
I this from the VHS or the Laserdisc?
A VHS from the laserdisc, plus it was transcoded from NTSC to PAL.
It's from VHS, there's only one rip out there of this I believe. It's an extremely rare VHS (with an even rarer Betamax version). I believe this video itself is from the bootleg DVD that has been circulating for about 20 years.
The original VHS release of live in Japan came with a paper inside the box which contained lyrics in English and Japanese. This was also the case for a video that was released a year later by The Cure on the VAP label which was entitled 'The Tea Party' . This video contained some of The Cures videos from 1980 to 1985. This video was released one year before Staring at the Sea. The video was released on beta formats and VHS and to this date is extremely rare!
