Took my first dose today. I followed this video step by step. It was very helpful. I didn't even know how simple it was. Thanks for this information. I know it will help more people like me.
Starting today🎉. How was your journey?
@@lakeishaw2 Should be kept in Fridge when Not being used .
@lakeishaw2 starting my journey today. This vid helped calm my nerves bout that darn needle. Lol I'm very excited about my journey and hope yours go well. 🎉Let's goooo!!
Thank you for this. I’m doing my first tomorrow. I’m scared to death 😢
Starting mine today at 7p eastern time 😅
This comment is for those who are wondering about removing the needle.
1. Put the second cap back on
2. Put the first cap back on over the second cap
(Do this in the reverse order in which you removed them prior to administering the injection)
3. Unscrew the needle (with caps on) and store them into a hard plastic bottle or jar…which ever is safer for you and your family. 🎉🎉❤❤❤ stay happy and healthy💋
I think you mean to put the caps back on in the REVERSE order that you took them off
@@EEconomos thank you 😻😻💗
Wegovy is easier to use
I watched several of these videos and was confused, but now I get it after a clear demonstration by you. Thanks!
Better video than those other poorly put together ones.....however, no instructions for length of time for subsequent dose...........I can see people using it everyday... is this bad ? Idk...
Thank you so much for sharing this! Today was my first injection, and I followed along with your video. It was easy to follow and I was surprised at how little pain I felt.
Hey! I start my first dose today! Have noticed any slight improvements this far? Did you have GI issues due to it ??
@@kayleeg.917I don't have a refrigerator.
Ohh thank God I found this video!! I received my ozempic pen from the doctors office and the nurse who was to show me how to use it was incredibly ineffective and vague!😡 This video helped me tremendously! Thank you so much!
Same
It helps to watch 2-3 videos about it. One video can cover an aspect that the other has not shown.
Just did my 4th dose at .25. No bad reactions to O. I have noticed a reduction in my appitite. And my blood sugar is doing better! I like it!!
Same here and I'm seeing a difference in weight after dose 4
I took my second dose yesterday,.25
But i cannot see any reduction in fluid level inside the pen... It should be half right?? Plz reply
When do u notice your blood sugar change? I am on my second dose
How long before each dose? next day, week, month?
This video was just what I needed. I gave my 1st. Injection today and it was very satisfying to know I did it. If not for your video I would have been lost. Thànk you so much..❤😊
Same! I was hesitant & intimidated.
Now, I shall go forth and poketh myself! LOL
Let me know how you do! 😊
Thank you for your encouragement.
I didn't feel the needle at all and really didn't see the fluid go down much on a .25 injection. Is that normal and how do i know if the fluid went in?
She put the pen in the cabinet. I was told to store in the refrigerator.
Read the second bullet of the instructions that start at 3:21.
Im a pharmacist and i can confirm. One pen of ozempic can be in room temp for 56 days, so in the cabinet is totally fine
I noticed that too maybe it was just a flub or maybe it was the needles she put in cabinet. I understand on a couple comments below what the pharmacist said & I’m sure it’s OK but they are saying to us clearly to refrigerate, so I always go by the directions I am given on my prescription PERIOD..
I was told it should be in the fridge until you use that pen for the first time, then it can be stored at room temperature
yeah it needs to be refrigerated.
Do I need to test the pen every time before injection? Should I pinch my stomach and then inject?
One thing that confuses me still. While counting to 6 we are still pressing the needle right? We don't let go after the needle shows 0...
great question! and do you take all in the same day or what??
After your counter goes all the way back uou start counting to 6 and then release.
You injected the medication once a week 😊
Your video was the best. Clear demonstration, no confusion. Thanks.
Instructions were easy. Thank you. It took away all of my fears. 1st dose today..
It's very close to how I use my insulin pen. I didn't twist it enough to see the dosage. Thank u for the video.
Thank you for your encouragement.
Thanks so much for this video! It was excellent and really helped to put me at ease using it for the first time.
It sucks that there’s instructions at the end for storage and such, but cards for other videos are covering it up…
At the end of this video it gave a written summary on how to use the pen. Unfortunately, the right side was obscured by two different small captioned videos that you could play next. The written should’ve been done earlier or had a longer tail so it could be read. Oh, well. Otherwise good video.
Just pause it at 321 lol. U can screen shot
This is my first time taking Ozempic. And I wasn’t sure how to use this. I normally take Trulicity and was not able to get that due to a shortage. After watching this video, I am more confident and knowing how to use this. Thank you for the step-by-step ructions
Very clear and concise instructions. Thank you!
Thanks for this video. PERFECT instructions.
My first dose today 😊
The most comprehensive explanation and video of the actual process. Thanks. ~G~
Very clear with great instructions. Thanks. I love the KISS method of teaching.
How come only a drop comes out when you prime it? For me it shoots out of the needle a bit. Is that normal?
Same! So I'm scared it's going to give me to much
Thank you so easy … My first dose today !
This video is better than those other confusing ones.....however, is this injection for daily, weekly or other?? no guidance on when the subsequent shot is used.......someone might take it all in one day....clarification in needed....Tia
This is very helpful I'm going to take my first dose tomorrow
This is wonderful, very clear information
This is a very helpful video, thank you.
Can someone confirm? From what I gather the pen has several uses until you finish? It's not a one time use right? And does it come with extra needles? How many? Are they proprietary or can I get more on the pharmacy? Sorry 😅
Why didn’t it go back into the refrigerator after?
So after the first dose with a new pen you can leave the box in a cabinet instead of the refrigerator?
Thank you I think you're totally awesome what a great video❤❤❤❤
When i put it to the primer and pushed the button it shot a whole dose in the air is that a mistake??? i'm thinking yes
What if when i check the flow, there is not just a drop but a strong stream? Is something wrong with my pen and its dysregulated?
An excellent example of use. 😎
Hi this is my first time using an ozempic injection and I want to know if it hurts when you put the needle? I pretty nervous about using it because I'm not sure if it will hurt. Also I have a question how many times we can use the same pen or do we have to change the pen?
This video was very helpful. Thank you. I did my 1st dose tonight, I think I did 2 doses though, .25, as b4 watching your video, I didn't realise, the pen had more liquid in it.
Understandable, not your fault......very confusing direction out there in sync on dosing time frame....everyday, week, month? , I can see someone dosing the whole box in one day by accident... no warnings!
Does it have to be in the refrigerator?
Does the box include needle?
Simple. Thank you
Starting my journey this week. I have been obese for as long as I can remember. And find it very hard to stay consistent on a fad diet. So I’m hopeful that this is the answer. 🙏🏽
Thank you so much
I have been obese now for over 23 years. Now starting my new journey living in a much better and stress-free environment. I couldn't be happier. Ozempic first timer here too and I'm so excited about this new journey too. I might just do something to celebrate my first injection on today. 🎉🎉🎉 Good luck in your journey!!😊
I will also start dose yesterday's
Hope is good for me
Hopefully I got some because when i did push to see it was set a lot came out
Took box out of the refrigerator and put it back in cabinet when done!
yes because that's okay. :)
i started taking ozempic 4 weeks ago and i am confused as to when my pen is empty. it says it has 4 doses, but the plunger is only halfway down the little window after 4 shots. is the pen actually empty or do i have more doses left?
Thanks for that.
But didn't show how to remove needle from pen.
I thought about the same thing.🤣🤣 at least I didn’t have a hard time taking it off 😫😫
Does it always need refrigeration?
My pen didn't do that when i injected, It clicked while I was holding down for 6 sec. Is that supposed to be right??
After 4 doses, there is an amount of medicine in pen, that im
Sure i can use for 0.5mg. Or am i wrong?
Thanks. I needed this! I just did it. Woo Hoo!
Thanks
Very helpful
Great video! Took my first dose today. Am I supposed to put my medicine back in the refrigerator? I noticed you put it into a cabinet in the kitchen.
Yes its suppose to be stored in the fridge
How many times does you use one pen am confuse
love that its a "mom" doing "laundry" and now its time for ozempic---
Bery clear directions.
Thanks so much.
Dziwne ,że dobrze się czujesz .A zawroty głowy,mdłosci, poty osłabienie??
Is it OK if after first use you keep in fridge anyway and not cabinet?
Each time you use a new needle do you have to do that prep thing or is it when you start a new pen?
Thanks for the info everyone.
You only prime it when use new pen. Not each time.
I was worried about pain from the needle. I couldn’t believe how much I didn’t feel it.
this very educational as I just learned about the 2 caps on the needle part, wasted 2 needles as this my first time use this type of system.
2nd part is I have a phobia of needles.
will try this again on the day for to see how I react to this stuff.
was on trulicity no real big side effects...
What to do if you think you didn’t dose yourself properly.
Do you have to prep the same pen (the double dot line) every time with each new needle?
No
I put the needle on I pressed the deployment and a shot of medicine shot all the way across the kitchen floor I think I just lost the whole dosage so now I'm going to put the needle in and push .25 and then hold it for six seconds hope that I got the next dose but did I get the next dose and now I'm short one I guess I have no idea and no one picks up on the weekend lovely
same thing happened to me!
She took it out of the fridge.. but then put it away in the cabinet. My pharmacy said be safe and keep it in the fridge. Because the temperature in your house changes. Be safe and put it in the fridge.
Why didn’t she put it back in the fridge?
I just took my first dose this week. Is it normal to have a welt where I injected the needle?
I read somewhere that swelling at the injection site can be expected, there was nothing stated that should cause any worry along with that. But always consult with your physician if you’re concerned :)
When I was on Monjaro I would get bruises from the injection but they'd go away.
Do we need to prime every time or just on the very first use?
Just the first time with a new pen.
Well done.
It is a little confusing of whether it has to be kept in the fridge or not?
I keep mine in the fridge.
It says right on the box to keep refrigerated.
So my pharmacist told me to hold the needle an inch away from my skin but the lady in the video had it right against her skin so which way should I use it?
If you held it am inch away from your son then how would it inject you? That makes zero sense.
In the beginning of this video. The lady took the ozempic pen out of the refrigerator. But at the end of the video....she put it in the kitchen cabinet? Is it supposed to be kept refrigerated?
You can keep in room temperature after the first use.
What if i didn't hold the button in while counting to 6?
I would like to know this as well
Why did she put the box in the cabinet and not the refrigerator?
Ozempic (semalutide) beverages are chilled until first use in the refrigerator (between 36°F and 46°F or 2°C to 8°C) before they become refrigerated.
After the pen is felt, the pen can be stored for 56 days at room temperature (between 59°F to 86°F or 15°C to 30°C). The pen can also be stored in the refrigerator for 56 days with the pen cap open. when not in use
I did mind wrong I don't think Ll the medicine when in and I didn't put mark on the line before to get all the medicine in.
Me to shit
Yeah when I first tried it I left the cap on and it spilled all over me 😂
Thanks for covering up all the helpful text instructions at the end 🤦🏼♀️
SHE PUT IT IN CUPBOARD WHEN SHE WAS DONE? I THOUGHT IT WAS TO BE KEPT REFEGERATED
Do you clear the pen every time or just the first time?
Just the 1 st time
I had a had time screwing the new needle on
Hi, my ? Is have u noticed any changes in ur face people was saying it ages u ??? Hope to hear from u
I’d imagine it’s because you are losing weight. Isn’t it if you lose weight especially in your 40s, you’ll look older. Cheek volume goes down, you appear sunken
I thought it must be stored in the fridge? Why does she put the pen in the cupboard?
only until 1st dose
First she remove from the refrigerator and then she storage in the cabinet 🗄️? 🤔👇🏻
When i prepped the pen, a little bit squirt out 😢…has that happened to anyone else? Is that normal?
That happened to me too more than a bead I'm worried I wasted a dose
It looks complicated, i want to talk about it with my doctor, as i would like to try it to lose weight, but i hate complicated instructions as i don't remember things too well. Still i'll talk to the doctor anyway soon
I watch this often
I switched from Trulicity to Ozempic since there is a shortage of Trulicity and this is far more complicated then Trulicity but I guess thats the way it is.
what was a need for a whole drama before?
hm i have a question. if anybody knows please let me know. so i have a 1mg ozempic pen. i m supposed to use 0.25mg at start. so can i use it 8 times ? or 4 shots and throw the rest away ?
A lekarz nie powiedział?? czy ty masz cukrzycę???
Call the Pharmacist where you got it
how to take ozempic 0.25 from 0.5 pen ?
just roll past the .25 to the next one up
you can't each pen is different....those have two choices .25 or .5 if you pass the .25 then you can't go back
Yeah the first thing you ought to do is check the price how much they want for it
The lowest you can get is $25. I get that with my insurance. If yours doesn't cover that much there are coupons available.
Where can I get coupons?
Should be stored in the fridge!
Is it supposed to be so hard to push, and a clicking sound…
Kinda chess’s skit but in all honesty works great for 1 times Thanks
I congratulate myself on, finally getting diabetes just in order to lose weight. 🙏. 😉
Same my A1C finally came back at 6.5 😂 🎉 it’s actually sad and ridiculous though that it had to come to this. I’ve been heavy and pre-diabetic for a few years and insurance wants to play games instead of just preventing this by giving me the $&@“?! Ozempic before!! 😒 now I have to deal with this diagnosis the rest of my life. Stupid
Notice that she doesn't put it back in the refrigerator, but she should have. Ozempic says as much.
you can put it back in fridge but don't have to. I keep mine in fridge though but it's not neccessary after 1st use.
I love Julie
She dont give a shit 😂
4 pages of a medical dictionary and not one concise sentence to tell you how to use the pen!
OZEMPIC MUST BE REFRIGERATED
until the 1st dose then it dont have to be...pharmacy told me only until I use it 1st time.
If you look closely she put the Ozempic into the kitchen cabinet and not the refridgerator where she took it out of. HUGE no no.
go to the gym instead
Why are you here
