  • In this episode I have to cover over 700 kilometers in one stage. Its the farthest distance I've ever ridden in one day, and the far majority is on sand, dirt and gravel! Somewhere during the stage, three wild horses join the race too!

@@boediprasetya2850 You know, quite often on this type of going then a huge, tall, heavy and probably over-powered macho behemoth is actually a disadvantage.

My first thought when you went back to bring the guy on the bike fuel was the kind man who drove many kilometers and brought you fuel a couple of months back. You are the soul of good sportsmanship, you teach us all that winning at all costs is simply too expensive. I am always impressed by your riding and your attitude of kindness so none of this surprises me it just reinforces what I have already seen, WELL DONE. Next stop Dakkar.

Competing in a rally is impressive. Competing and recording your experience is more impressive. Competing, recording, and interrupting your progress to run gas to stranded bikes is truly great.
Competing, recording, helping others, and doing it all on the smallest bike, and being a first timer... and being in first place is so incredibly unexpectedly amazing!
Noraly, it seems you are only just beginning to realize how truly great you are. And every other rider is realizing that too.

Please realize she's not competing, she's riding in the "adventure moto" category, which is a 'ride along' trail ride that uses roads, formed tracks and the transport sections of the rally, it's for those wanting to have some fun following the rally without actually doing any of the special test sections or competing. There is no first, second or last place, everyone is there to just have fun.

Itchy through changing tires in the wilds of South America, coping with bad fuel in one of the -stans in Asia, and picking Savannah up out of the mud may not be aware of what she’s done to work her way up to this race. I think the last time I was concerned was when she rode over a 14,000+ foot mountain pass. I did a small comparison between your time on Stage 2 and James Alexanders. He did it 7 hours 40 min in the rally and you said that the time you spent was short of 9 hours in the raid. A difference of a little over an hour! Then deduct the extra time for fuel handling/moving and you and Savannah did fantastic! No wonder you had problems with fuel, you outran the fueltruck......
I think this also shows that it is important to chose a bike that is the right size for the driver, not just go by power and cylinder volume.
