from Gerry- I have made a lot of rope bowls, even a tote for my knitting, but I love the way you ended yours with the hemp wrapped handles. I will definitely try this. Thank you. God bless.

It looks so nice! Also I really like that you used jute on the handles - nice touch! What size is it please? Is it 3/16 or 1/4? Really enjoyed the tutorial!

The bag doesn't say, but when I measure it, it is measuring 1/4 inch. I bought this rope at a local hardware store. So make sure to check odd places for rope. Thank you for your comment!

I have never used the jute and just realized it may not come in the same sizes as the clothesline rope so will be very interested to hear what size you used.

I really like the look the jute gives the basket. I just bought the cheap stuff at Walmart. Nothing special about the jute rope.

And where you bought the jute and cord you use please?

I dyed my rope using the Walmart acrylic paint. I can’t get my machine to zigzag it. I did do a tote with dyed rope and I made a simple basket after being unable to use the dyed rope. Do you have any suggestions? What happens is the machine won’t catch both sides of the zigzag.

It sounds like you need to stretch your stitch length out as far as it can go. What machine do you have? That has to be so frustrating. If you are in the market for a new machine I highly recommend the machine I am using. I have a link in my description. I absolutely love this machine. It goes through anything and is so reasonably priced. I have had the delicate machines, and they just frustrate me. I think that is super cool you dyed your rope!! I have not yet tried that! That is definitely on my list of things to do. Thank you for watching and thank you for your comment!

@@sweetcountrylivinginmichigan I totally agree. I have this machine and it's amazing. It's my favorite out of all I've ever owned! Great basket! Where do you get cord reasonably priced?
