Look up the "root talon". Much simpler and quicker to use, not to mention more ergonomic. Used one to clear close to an acre of buckthorn (an invasive where I live).

Now! what is useful, have the welder to ADD two extra bolt holes to the 'rocker' (curve) plate to maybe lift a subject a wee bit larger or smaller, using the middle as the common. The 'popper' I had fabricated, has vertical swivel jaw pads and larger to prevent cutting thru the subject, snapping off when working hard, dry ground. ---- Longer the user works with this tool, will find other modifications would be great , as a adjustable leverage handle length and rocker curve without its own flat-pad, just carry a portable support pad with a travel groove for the rocker curve to follow. --- Octavio, did you read this? 062018.
I have a device without moveable jaws, purchased long ago for pulling invasive plants. It doesn’t work well at all. This looks like what I needed!

That "root talon" have no moving jaws, so "tree popper" will work good enough with variety of trees.
