Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful time, whether with friends and family or enjoying some peaceful moments alone. Enjoy every moment, cherish the small things, and have a truly wonderful day!
story two thinks they're a novelist. but they really don't get Midwest farmland or how it actually looks just from their description. genuine "story" not real.
@raven-nova275 yes I work in communications. The verbage is what we call fluff. A bunch of unnecessary words. I'm seeing more and more on yt, to me it ruins the story.
I'm lost, how did you get to that conclusion? I didn't hear them speak of Midwest life. Story 4 or 5 was like that, the one talking about driving through corn fields, you mean that one?
@@wewillsurviveone Yeah I'm pretty sure they mean the corn one. Damn thing went on for so long I don't blame them for forgetting how many stories came before it. It also didn't really have an ending, which was annoying. Dude just finds a barn and goes in, and then it just cuts off abruptly. No further explanation, no resolution, no discussing how he made it back to the main road, no closing thoughts, not even a cliffhanger. Dude just walks into a barn. That's it. Oh and I'm pretty sure it was loosely inspired by a movie I saw once. Can't remember the name of it, but at least it had and ending. Not bad, but it was kinda meh.
*googles shatter snake* okay so it's actually a thing. It's called the eastern glass lizard. It's a species of legless lizard that can grow up to 4 feet long! They get their name from their ability to break their tails off in several pieces as if they are shattered. It grows back too. I now must have one.
This year was night and day weatherwise! Last year was perilous with ice and snow; this year is was 60° F. Happy holidays all! Wishing you a fabulous 2024. 🎉
Was it a feral dog or a coyote? Poor thing 😭 But how come his father couldn't see him when he checked but did she him after it was hurt? So confusing. What was it? I wanna know!
Indeed, some were very well written with a great premise, plot twist and evocative descriptions. Others sounded like a run-on sentence retelling the same overused stories.
My boyfriend welds and he told me u havr to have metal to make the spark work so theres no way he could have been burning dude with the welder straight on his back
The stories that go "we had to go clean up --insert elderly relative's name here-- so they can come home from the hospital to a clean house, the house looked a wreck and hadn't been cleaned in years", sorry but someone should be ashamed of themselves for allowing such as that. If you know Grandma isn't capable of housework, go friggin clean her house. If you can't for whatever reason, hire someone. If you can't afford to hire someone then ask for help. Do something! Do not allow them to live in an unsafe, unhealthy home!
@@roseclimbpaintcontwas going to say this, there are reasons why these things can happen, it’s not always so black and white. Shaming people when you don’t know all the details doesn’t make the world a better place it just makes you look like a callous a’hole!

How could his family blame him for the death of his sister? It's the parent's responsibility, not the child's. Lame parents. The kid had been working and was tired on top of that.
3:58 - Family is university educated, atheist, and one even a college professor, yet when they each directly encounter the very real evidence of paranormal affecting them personally, they would elect cognitive dissonance instead of shaping their perspective to fit the evidence in front of them. Oof. All that education yet still missed the mark here.
Honestly, as a parent, I can't wait for my girls to become more fashion conscious! Right now they mix dark green plaid with teal spots, but they think they look cute, and my seven year old has a long Mohawk she absolutely loves. I hope they never change!
You don't have to be an AI to write poorly lol. This is how a lot of people write when they're trying to "write well" but it just comes across as over verbose because they haven't yet learned to write like they're having a conversation, and focus too much on sounding "fancy" instead. There are plenty of creepypastas and other stories online that sound exactly like this yet predate AI story generators.
I live in a building that used to be an abandoned orphanage for about 15 years and me and everyone that lives in this building swear some shit is going on. We hear noises or see people that no one else knows about all the light turns off randomly for what we know with the kids were not treated nicely here we’re only 8 people here and we all know each other so it’s easy to figure out as most of us have tried to be kept up by the noises in the house at night
You're right but also really wrong. These are reddit stories, read by a text to speech bot. It's not generative AI, it's a trained voice model that reads out words the same way a blind person's tts might on their phone.

Stories about the Midwest written by people who've definitely never been to the Midwest are insane...
Would-be writers practicing their believability on Redditors. Snore. (write what u know is a thing for a reason).
10:00 so you got directions at the gas station, but not a drop of gas? What a suspenseful decision

It's just another long winded ai generated horror story. I've been seeing alot of these lately.

How'd that kid in the basement who heard someone walking around & a year later his granpa did too, drive when he was only 14?!

Why arent you finishing some of the stories? They just cut off ubruptly
AI stories
Because they're poorly written creative writing attempts and doing that makes it "mysterious"
This one could have used some editing- lots of good stories, but also a lot of dumb stuff and people just telling on themselves.

Narration by AI bot. AI ruins storytelling.
I find it better than cringey human voices. There are very few who do a good job, for the most part humans overdo it and it sounds corny.
Do not call a TTS an "AI bot" ever again.
nah it’s consistent and soothing, and its not Ai its TTS
