Vin was one of the loveliest, most talented, and hilariously funny people I’ve ever had the good fortune to know and learn from. He was one of a kind. I told him once he was maybe the funniest person I knew and he said, “ That’s because the things I sing about are so sad, and I need to have some balance.” I think he was thinking more about songs like The Chemical Worker’s Song, another favorite, than Silver and Gold because this one is rather sweet. I wish I’d met him years earlier, so I could have known him longer. We miss you, Vin
