Emma, this was wonderful! I'm definitely a traditional quilter, but I can appreciate inspiration and dedication when I see it! And one thing I really loved was that so many of these quilters are young people. You're right--quilting is not dying, even if it's morphing. And I was amazed to see that Merikay Waldvogel is also a modern quilter (I've known her personally for many, many years and had no idea!) as well as a quilt historian. These quilts were definitely the creme de la creme.
