- Thank goodness for rain!! Henson and Danielle move cows to drink from a dirt tank in order to save other water supplies. Danielle rides Vixen out for the first time and Henson rides Kite- both young horses.

When I show my northern rancher friends PDR videos they're amazed, good heavens they say, how do they get anything done at that pace? However they never face over 90 degrees because we rarely get that here.The men up here make more work for themselves than nessary and always running wide open. It also seems horses are better companions in the heat when depending more on humans to cool them down, but it's more likely due to being free to roam and welcomed to come home.Thanks PDR

I’ve never before seen two cows fighting - I thought only bulls fought (for their ladies). I loved the comment about it being so hot the 🌵 are panting, with their 👅 hanging out - I will have to remember that one! I live in Southern Alberta and when it gets 114F no sports are played because it would be deemed dangerous. We are a little different up here, but when it is -40F we still go out a feed all the stock.

Looks like you got some real rain. So far our accumulation has been 1/2 inch; that's over the last 6 months. Lots of clouds, rain all around, but I feel like we're in the doughnut hole🍩. We're in N. Cochise County and haven't had a decent rainstorm in over 2 yes. Of course we haven't had our annual average (except for 1 yr.)in over 20. When I talk to my relatives in the N. East, if they haven't had at least an inch of rain in 2 weeks they complain about how dry its been. I tell them to come out here and I'll show you dry: I mean, when the cactus are panting with their tongues haning out......

My hubby ti be is super crazy with filming right now and when he's not there he is even crazier busy working on hus ranch every spare koment he has despite employing staff to do the work for him? He says he finds cowboying work hard but far more enjoyable? It is a wonderfull sight to watch a brand beware life being born. Brings a smile to my face when I see something like that happen.

I have that mares pony twin. Well she is AQHA but only made it to13.2 hands. Not sure what part of Arizona you are in, but I use to live in Ganado Az.

Danielle, what happened to ghost? I know you were working on him but was he an outside horse? Somehow, I thought you owned him or had acquired him to help him w/ his problems. I liked him.
I own him. I turned him out with the other boys for a while. With the cost of hay and Vixen needing more consistency it just made sense.

Does that pyrannah fly spray actually work for y'all? Because I tried it on a couple of my horses in the mid west part of the USA and it barely worked for about 10 minutes and then flies were all over my horses again so I was just wondering
All fly sprays only work for a short amount of time, but we do find Pyranha works fairly good for a couple of hours.
New bridge Isn't as scenic as the old road for your viewers. How dedicated are you? Just joking hope you enjoy it as much as your trucks and trailers. Don't fast forward for us. l like to see the way you read the flight zones and your horses responding to you. It's all interesting to novice like me thanks.

Well Dibs WAS his horse but I seemed to have taken over the reins. Everything he rides is a colt of ours, my barrel horses, or outside horses.

No we aren’t selling earlier than normal. Hay is high but it isn’t really changing anything for us

Typically they just stop pawing after a while. If they don’t stop, then yes, we will try that.
