- Super fun ranching day gathering cows and branding calves. It's weaning time so we had to haul calves out too. Brooks rides Mighty Eagle for the first time on camera, and tons of fun times were had.

I just love how the kids are involved and are helped by the adults. And the laughter during work is great!
The best part was watching the guys ride the calves right after branding. Brooks riding Mighty Eagle then his cowboy hat comes off, that was entertaining.
Yep,that Brooks is a natural ! Boy howdy it was nice riding out w/ yall for some cow punchin' ! So nice to see the whole family working and playing together again ! Haha that was some good calf ridin' . Jasper is already an all a round cowboy w/the best cowboys around to guide him ! Brooks and Mighty Eagle are a good fit ! Worth waiting for ! Thank you for including us in your wonderful life !
Favorite part? Maybe all of the kids pitching in roping, riding and branding. Great video today. It gave true insight to a ranch day of cowboy life. Thanks for sharing!
My favorite little man; Jasper in training. He's looking like he's been doing this his whole life. One fine cowboy in the making. And now Brooks. Henson is so easy, so patient and it all feels so natural. I just love watching everyone come together and getting the hard work done and having fun with it. Has Jasper worked with that new pony yet? Or is White Lightning just better trained for the job right now? And you weren't slacking, you were just focusing in on being the videographer today😉
Henson calls the new black pony Gizmo… only Connor has ridden him so far

She’s a very good rider- a real natural but she doesn’t ride if she doesn’t have to. She’s usually the one taking care of Brooks so Mom can ride 🤗

My conure bird was loving this. Cow noises had her hypnotized 😃. Re languages. In case you didn't know. Australian first nation people had upto around 600 languages. Closer to 300 now. One of the issues in the early days coordination of so many individual groups and languages

You sure make excellent videos, watching ranching with cowboys is a rare sight these days, the slow pace allows the viewer to feel part of the day and appreciate what ranching entails, just one thought how many youngsters will find work and a career in ranching in years to come.
As many as we can take!!! Unfortunately the younger generations don’t like this hard physical work much 😔

302 stand up by the horses shoulder. Put your left hand on the saddle horn. Grab the stir up with you or right hand and put your left boot in there. Then you can swing yourself up in one fell swoop

1633 make sure you keep them on together if you can stay on that back calf as much as possible to drive the whole group like a school of fish on your off days. Watch how a school of fish moves and think if you're a shark moving the whole. That's how the stallion organizes the herd as well in the relationship between cloven hoof to animals and others

2048 those sand hills you were riding through in that ravine. I was thinking how they would crumble in the wrong spots and you just slide down. Some of the horses were better at it than others!!
