Hi there, I have been watching your covers for quite some time now, and recently I just got myself a new kit, and I am very into Japanese music, but one thing that bothers me is that they usually prefer high BPM like in this song, especially the hi hat and rides, in which I had a hard time following. Can you tell me which technique and what to look for if I want to play these type of music on drums? Thank you very much, and keep up the good work!
@@joellee8077 Thank you for watching and I'm glad to hear you got into drumming yourself 😁 To play faster like this the most important thing to learn is something called the Moeller technique. It is essentially a way to get 2 strokes out of one movement of the arm / wrist. It will also make your beats sound more dynamic because of the way you will end up playing the hi hats and ride. So I would say go look at some videos to see how to get that motion going and practice that a lot. But even if the point is to be able to play faster, srart slow and slowly bring the tempo up. You'll see once you get the feel for the motion and really get used to it you should start progressing exponentially faster after that. I hope this helps and good luck with your practice 😄
@@sm_4859 Maybe, I’d sure love to do more of em, especially if I don’t have to worry about the copyrights like the Bocchi songs. One that is almost guaranteed though is Don’t Say Lazy, that ED has no business slapping this hard, I’ve been listening to it on repeat lmao
At the end i was crying bro, that was amazing moment
Yeah when I was watching the anime that part made me cry a bit too lol. It would be so surreal to have an experience like that live on stage
Oh hell yeah, K-ON! FTW
I slept on that show for way too long ahah, it’s really amazing
@bidulus1 dude you will find so many good animes you slept on. Especially 2012 ones
MY GOD I love so bad how hi-hat cymbals are flexing on rhythm 😭❤️

Hello nice job dude, im working on a tom fill called StockHolm Syndrome by Muse!
Thanks! Good luck with it!
What ride do you use
That ride is a Sabian AA rock ride. I wanna say its 21 inches but I'm not too sure on that since the text on it has faded a long time ago
Can u play sabaton again?
