The industry needs to standardize on a protocol for info sharing. There's so much untapped potential. Imagine being able to see oncoming sleds in your dash unit. An alert could flash stating incoming riders. Heatmaps of trails so you know which ones are getting beat up. Every time you stop the sled it could ask to rate the trail good/ok/bad on the head unit at the press of a button and trail conditions would update in near real time. But it will never happen if half the people are on Go and half on Ride Command and some on these 3rd party systems and they don't talk.

It’s great that all of these off-road apps have off-line download capability. The downside is that until cable free hookup to the dash is available (CarPlay etc.) they lose their glamour. In today’s riding environment we all want our phones handy to take pictures. Needing to unplug and replug each time is a major hassle and less than completely dependable. Cable free hookup would allow the uninterrupted connection and increase dependability. Nothing worse than being in the middle of nowhere and your system won’t come back up!

This is a cool app. If you are ever going to ride in New Hampshire they have their own mapping system that's really good. The app can be downloaded from the app store

I use Gaia for off roading, I know they have snowmobile trails as well. Any idea how On X n Gaia compare to each other for snow?

I bought the premium version of this app/GPS just a couple weeks ago whole riding in fort Kent maine, I couldn't get it to give me routes on snowmobile trails, every time I picked a spot to go it gave state roads not trail, not sure what I'm doing wrong but it's not working for me

Does anybody have any real-world experience with the Polaris app, skidoo app, and this app? Wondering if there is a comparison between the three. I found the Polaris and skidoo apps to be pretty useful but definitely have some items that are lacking between the two. The skidoo app is great for turn-by-turn mainly and high contrast viewing as you can set your screen to dark mode which turns the background black and the trail yellow but it's also lacking some of the places that the Polaris app has like restaurants bars and gas stations.

I do enjoy the videos where they are talking about lifestyle and different riding areas to get away. It is possible that sponsors are how they can make those videos as well. So if they need an ad every now and again I don’t think it is too much. I have been critical in the past myself. Overall I think they are doing a great job this year putting interesting videos while staying neutral with their abundantly competitive sponsors. Namely the snowmobile sponsors. As for accessories, i think the number of new riders are happy to hear about products they can use even on the older sleds that don’t come with gps. I think this product ideally suits that market.

Yes, but until now, I didnt know about this product. You see there are people in this world called "grown ups" these people have to earn this thing called "money" in order to buy needed things like food, clothes, electricity and fuel for heat and transportation. As money doesn't grow on trees, these grown-ups have to "earn" this money somehow. Do you get the basic concept?
