@@gibran8959 I didn't use any Natlan character against this boss. The whole team was Nahida, Kirara, Keqing, and Fischl. To make it more f2p friendly, I could very well still change Nahida to Dendro MC and be able to clear it anyway.

That qucusaur and wolflord already showed the devs intention very clearly, they want the players to use Neuvillette team of Zhongli variant. Neuvillette can clear away qucusaur's hydro alongside furina, and they can also hit the wolflord in midair. Lyney and Ganyu are good options (they both prefers to have zhongli), but you'd have to struggle through the qucusaur to breeze the wolflord, which means you may need to try again on the second run to clear the qucusaur The papilla is the worst, it forces Natlan character in the second half (but this video helps a lot, unless you don't have the characters for Quickbloom team, and it's recommended to have C6 fischl) Neuvillette is a no go here because he's much more needed on the first half, unless you want to try rerunning again, even that I'm not confident Neuvillette team can clear the papilla's ward fast enough. Arlecchino can't pass this boss, you'd either have to sacrifice DPS or sacrifice high-frequency elemental attacks, I sacrificed the latter but holy sheet I found myself struggling to survive due to papilla's high res and constant nuke attacks, even my bursts couldn't charge up fast enough to keep up with its nuke attacks The Drake filters out ground-based DPS, unless one of your team is a bow user, Chasca trivializes this... barely My alt couldn't clear chamber 3 due to not enough DPS, shoutout to the papilla for forcing me to use Chasca instead of Arlecchino My main struggled so much without neuvillette to keep those consecrated beasts in check, I had to run around with Hutao or Mualani, the consecrated beasts move too much. I can't clear chamber 1 due to that. The Quickbloom team carried chamber 2 and 3 This abyss is just as frustrating as that wenut and hydro/cryo herald combo, glad this is the last abyss run for this version, can't wait for the even worse lineup in 5.3
and for first half tighnari and yae miko kinda work, but it's way more annoying because yae has less range and breaks the pyro shield way slower. and also this team sucks ass against 12-1
@@Raudent i use arlecchino yelan xingqiu fischl 2nd half (i don't have ororon) and it was fine if you don't need a sustain unit. It was actually better dps-wise than most other arlec teams i tried while still being able to cover the papilla shield phase.
Watching this would have saved me ~1 hour of trial and error. My only good natlan and geo unit is Xilonen, so i needed her in stage 1 for the wolf lord. In the end i managed to get 36* by optimizing a team for each stage, but stage 2 was the hardes to figure out.

I just found out that you can easily bypass the entire stupid sheild thing and beat it with *any* charachters When it starts shaking and puts the sheild up you have about 10 seconds to *simply walk out of range* , wait till it's over , then walk back in and fight it again I cant believe it's just that simple . Completely forget about the sheild and breaking the sheild . I can't belive nobody else has figured this out?

The problem with genshin is that requires no skill at all, only the right characters. How do you make a game harder that doesn't require any skill? Add HP and annoying functions to make it seem difficult, and what is the solution to make it less difficult as a player? Pull the brand new limited 5*

A nice thing to know is that you can the tenebrous papilla if you burst at the right time. However I suggest you break the ward since it make everything just a whole lot easier.
Omg, thanks for the inspiration. Burn truly is the way. I usually utilize Ganyu, Kazuha, Xiangling and Bennett, for melt team, but of course it won't stand a chance. Then you mentioned Burn, then I swapped Kazuha to Nahida, and voila. It works wonder. And I even manage to clear the other chamber just fine as well. Tysm

Same shit ain't worth losing patience over. Just gonna wait for Mavuika. Mihoyo really keeps doing 1 step forward and 3 backwards. It is just not fun to fight stall enemies. Edit: my pride got the better of me and i went back in, this time I used Mualani,Xiangling, Furina, Xilonen on the first half and Alhaitham, Nahida, Kuki and Yelan for second half. Got lucky on one floor where it still gave me full score despite being a second over the time limit.
Wow thanks. This made the fight so easy. I used my Hu Tao team but swapped Xingqiu for Fischl and managed to break that shield with ease. I originally tried to brute force my way through the resistances and was always just a few seconds off 😭
.Ironically this is the only floor where i did 3 stars and that too with almost 30 seconds left. Last floor golden wolflord is so annoying so i just left that floor untouched..
You can beat him easily if you have Zhongli, put the first pilar next to the first thing with (just press skill don't hold) while the pillar is charging the thing with geo run to the second one and use Zhongli's burst, immediately run to the last one, at this point the first pillar should have broken the first thing so you could use the pillar again, let it apply geo while you dodge the attacks. Then use everything you got when the wolf falls. If you don't have Zhongli you could use Ningguang, Yunyin or Gorou but you will have to manage the previous chambers.
Thanks for the tips. In reality this boss' shield is not really high damage dependent rather like many many small attacks. I went with nahida, Xinqiu, Yelan and kuki. Yelan also helped for level 3 to bring down the flying drake
I was able to break it's shield with Keqing Aggravate, with Fischl + Kazuha + Kirara (someone suggested even Collei because her Burst hits many times). But the team rotation needs to be correct. This boss is a tricky puzzle with its weird shield, you need to find the right combination if you don't have Ororon or Chasca
OMG THBAK YOU SO MUCH JUST BEAT IT WITH HYPER BLOOM ALHATHEM ! I was so used to using arli that I forgot I had hyper bloom team ,I was so confused why I can’t break the shield of that boss
I was never able to destroy the shield in time but I found out if you switch characters during the nuke you can spread the damage across both allowing everyone to survive. You still have to deal with the damage reduction afterwards but with enough damage/reactions I was able to just barely make the time despite it
ngl i was so confused so I just waited out the shield on the side of the arena every time it came up and brute forced alhaitham quickbloom through the rest of it.
This abyss hits all the mark for getting Zhongli, Neuvillette, Mavuika, and Citlali. Zhongli is catered for the Dragon wolf lord abyss half. Neuvillette is a comfort pick for first or second half. Mavuika and Citlali will of course be a good answer for the Tenebrous Papilla boss in 12-2. I have 36 starred this abyss and by far this is the hardest Abyss I have finished in 36 stars since July of 2023 during the Sumeru abysses featuring the Consecrated beasts. In my year of 2023 only 1 month of abyss made me so mad because I got 35 stars on that month instead of 36 like I usually do. Anyways, this abyss is a reaction check or a Natlan character check. It's quite scummy I know but it is what it is.
In the end I did not break its shield once but barely managed to kill it in time with Arlecchino anyway. Took me a while to learn when to use burst to avoid the explosion.

@@ldcgfx8710 If the other 2 pyro is Bennett with Noblesse and an off-field pyro w/ Deepwood (like Xiangling or Dehya), their damage will NOT be the main focus of the team. They're literally only there to buff Kinich. Bennett already takes the healing role there, so again... Xilonen is a waste of space there and the team is better off running someone else, like Emilie.
As a whale who usually has no issue with abyss or any combat whatsoever, with this bullshit I actually had to press G and *read* for the first time in a while. Still didn't understand the mechanic that was one shotting my characters, so I'm now here lmao. Guess I have to break out Kinich or Mualani
i didnt do a single chascha pulls so i dont even have ororon. could never break this shield. tried burning but still fail. thank god nahida hyperbloom still works
My ororon is not built, same goes for my Thoma. I tried burning, hyperbloom (with xingqiu bc i don't have yelan). Nothing works. I go really close to that little shield but nothing
I broke the barrier with Collei+Barbara+Nahida pure bloom. I know Nilou bloom can do it but my trigger is EM Raiden, her skill doesn't work against the barrier so I had to deal with it using just 3 characters. It barely works but I cleared the abyss 36 stars with it and call it day.
I used arle, xq and yelan for this purple thingy, but I still couldn't break the shield for some reason. Can ping affect however much you're hitting? I usually misses the timing by 5 hits or so
U dont need full res shred. Bring a shielder to utilize the Spiral abyss blessing True damage everytime shielded character deal damage that ignores 80% res @@txuan4043
I see, so thats why my fischl hyperbloom team can finish this boss as fast as my c2 raiden overload team. 1st team manage to break the shield while the 2nd i use burst i frame and i whack the shi out of the boss.

It actually isn't insta-kill. I survived a few times immunity framing with Xilonen burst and followed by the heal afterwards.
You can also burst in the right moment to survive, but even if you time the tine window right you will still have to deal with 80% DMG res
yea, i somehow survived the nuke with only 248hp remaining on alhaitham lmaoo (had to reset timer ran out cuz 80% res 😭)

after breaking his sheild my characters are getting 1 shot
because the shild is not broke the timer runs out and it does AOE dmg
If you do break the shield, there's a quick phase where the boss changes form and hits hard.
Usually its the dendro chicken and the ruin turkey

Then use everything you got when the wolf falls. If you don't have Zhongli you could use Ningguang, Yunyin or Gorou but you will have to manage the previous chambers.
Thanks for the tips. In reality this boss' shield is not really high damage dependent rather like many many small attacks. I went with nahida, Xinqiu, Yelan and kuki. Yelan also helped for level 3 to bring down the flying drake
I was able to break it's shield with Keqing Aggravate, with Fischl + Kazuha + Kirara (someone suggested even Collei because her Burst hits many times). But the team rotation needs to be correct.
This boss is a tricky puzzle with its weird shield, you need to find the right combination if you don't have Ororon or Chasca
thanks, i use the nahida hyperbloom and it works perfectly with the papilla! also fischl bow helps with the flying robot afterwards.

I was never able to destroy the shield in time but I found out if you switch characters during the nuke you can spread the damage across both allowing everyone to survive. You still have to deal with the damage reduction afterwards but with enough damage/reactions I was able to just barely make the time despite it
I’ve never tried a quick bloom team before and the results are shocking

This abyss hits all the mark for getting Zhongli, Neuvillette, Mavuika, and Citlali.
Zhongli is catered for the Dragon wolf lord abyss half.
Neuvillette is a comfort pick for first or second half.
Mavuika and Citlali will of course be a good answer for the Tenebrous Papilla boss in 12-2.
I have 36 starred this abyss and by far this is the hardest Abyss I have finished in 36 stars since July of 2023 during the Sumeru abysses featuring the Consecrated beasts. In my year of 2023 only 1 month of abyss made me so mad because I got 35 stars on that month instead of 36 like I usually do.
Anyways, this abyss is a reaction check or a Natlan character check. It's quite scummy I know but it is what it is.
In the end I did not break its shield once but barely managed to kill it in time with Arlecchino anyway. Took me a while to learn when to use burst to avoid the explosion.
I think Kinich + 2 pyro + Xilonen should also be viable
Kinich, in a burning team, literally trivialises that mechanic. There is no point in using Xilonen.
Xilonen isn't necessary there. She doesn't even shred dendro RES.

@@ldcgfx8710 If the other 2 pyro is Bennett with Noblesse and an off-field pyro w/ Deepwood (like Xiangling or Dehya), their damage will NOT be the main focus of the team. They're literally only there to buff Kinich.
Bennett already takes the healing role there, so again... Xilonen is a waste of space there and the team is better off running someone else, like Emilie.
So my 52k Zhongli tanked it for 50k and then it was just slash and kil with Arle and Emilie.
This Abyss seems the others I do, never stepped in the room 12. I have no time to waste on my life.

I used xingqiu + yelan + nahida - doing 4 hits with nahida and after that changed to yelan auto attack
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I can't break the shield with Yelan/Xingqiu. There's just not enough time for me
option 2 is the best way, allready fullstar :)

As a whale who usually has no issue with abyss or any combat whatsoever, with this bullshit I actually had to press G and *read* for the first time in a while. Still didn't understand the mechanic that was one shotting my characters, so I'm now here lmao. Guess I have to break out Kinich or Mualani

You forgot double hydro national team, with Bennet, Xianling plus Yelan and Xingqiu will proc a lot of elemental dmg.

i didnt do a single chascha pulls so i dont even have ororon. could never break this shield. tried burning but still fail. thank god nahida hyperbloom still works
My ororon is not built, same goes for my Thoma. I tried burning, hyperbloom (with xingqiu bc i don't have yelan). Nothing works. I go really close to that little shield but nothing

I broke the barrier with Collei+Barbara+Nahida pure bloom. I know Nilou bloom can do it but my trigger is EM Raiden, her skill doesn't work against the barrier so I had to deal with it using just 3 characters. It barely works but I cleared the abyss 36 stars with it and call it day.
You also can just the damage and do not brake the shield at all
but them the monster get resistance, and you do no damage
I spent way too long trying to make Itto work (idk why) but once I change to Clorinde quicken the boss melted instantly

I used arle, xq and yelan for this purple thingy, but I still couldn't break the shield for some reason. Can ping affect however much you're hitting? I usually misses the timing by 5 hits or so

U dont need full res shred. Bring a shielder to utilize the Spiral abyss blessing True damage everytime shielded character deal damage that ignores 80% res @@txuan4043

I see, so thats why my fischl hyperbloom team can finish this boss as fast as my c2 raiden overload team. 1st team manage to break the shield while the 2nd i use burst i frame and i whack the shi out of the boss.
You can Burst I frame the Nuke. But wtf is 80% resistance?

I combined Nahida hyperbloom with Xingqiu-Yelan. Broke the shield in 10s.
they put this boss in floor 2 but floor 3 requires geo like fkin hell maan
