  • Hailing from the United Kingdom, Whyte have set the benchmark for making weatherproof bikes for years. They're also known as pioneers of the longer, lower, slacker trend of bike geometry. The British bike whizzes started designing their bikes that way over a decade ago - because it worked. For any Whyte bike we have tested here at AMB, we have always been impressed with the build quality of Whyte frames, which have bearings so well sealed that they cover them with a lifetime warranty! But the handling and balanced design is what always wins us over.
The Whyte T-160S sells for $4999 and is a 29er trail bike with a 160/150mm travel split. It's ready to rumble with a thoroughly designed alloy frame and intelligent parts spec.

Just ordered one of these for $3000 AUD. Absolute steal, can’t wait for it to arrive.

How does this bike pedal uphill? And is it enduro friendly? What’s the standover like? (Looks like top tube sticks up a bit more than others) In Nz it comes with code re 200 and sram gx eagle. I’m looking at something to replace my yt Jeffsy al base that can be an enduro/park/trail bike. Incredible value!

Hi there, just wondering how you find this bike compared to the Trek Slash - I'm tossing up between the two.

Ben reckons it is hard to split the two on paper. Whyte wins out in bearing protection, the Trek has frame storage which is handy, and doesn't have a proprietory shock anymore.
