Gràcies KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, per tots els moments de relax i bona musica, i pell de gallina el escoltar una de les teves millors cançons ME AND BOBBY McGEE. Fins sempre D.E.P
He has been maybe one of the best writers ever and a great artist. Prayers to his family!
He was 77 years then -- and still a wonder. Croaking, raspy, who the hell cares. It's the lyrics, folks.
Alone with his guitar and harmonica. No other musicians and dancers. Wearing jeans and t-shirt. His music and lyrics. Couldn’t been better ❤
As it should be:)
One of the best songwriters☀️ ...What a grande fellow.🤩..He once said Irelands audiences🍀 were his fav and the best to play for....he stood up for Sinead🍀 O'Connor on stage ... even wrote a song about her and the ill treatment she endured for decades... now they are having the last laugh together as she was right about so many things she fought for, as was he ✅️...both way ahead of their time in standing up for the underprivileged and the wrongs of the world again and again...⭐️
In 1992, Kris Kristofferson comforted Sinéad O'Connor when she was booed off the stage at a Bob Dylan anniversary concert for tearing up popes picture which was aimed to bring awareness to the church and ill❌️ treatment of innocent children.
Sinéad O'Connor, just 25 years old at the time, was introduced on stage by American singer-songwriter Kris Kristofferson.
He later wrote this for her saying... May we all have her courage. May we all tell the truth.🫶
Words to the song are:
"I'm singing this song for my sister Sinead
Concerning the god awful mess that she made
When she told them her truth just as hard as she could
Her message profoundly was misunderstood
There's humans entrusted with guarding our gold
And humans in charge of the saving of souls
And humans responded all over the world
Condemning that bald headed brave little girl
And maybe she's crazy and maybe she ain't
But so was Picasso and so were the saints
And she's never been partial to shackles or chains
She's too old for breaking and too young to tame
It's askin' for trouble to stick out your neck
In terms of a target a big silhouette
But some candles flicker and some candles fade
And some burn as true as my sister Sinead
And maybe she's crazy and maybe she ain't
But so was Picasso and so were the saints
And she's never been partial to shackles or chains
She's too old for breaking and too young to tame”
You were both the best truth advocates we had💯 ...fly high and have fun 🎉playing whereever you are🎵

That broken voice adds depth and integrity to some of these songs

Una leggenda vivente!
I am a fan of K. K.. "Why me lord" one of his composition we used to sing here in far east Philippines. Thank you youtube. Because of youtube now I know who composed most of the best songs that relate to real life of all ages. Past present and future. Thank you for the channel who posted this jewel.
🎶🎵💜🤩
True genius and beauty
Fantastic, I watched the whole video!
❤
I'm sorry but watching this just makes me livid!! The idiots in the audience are seeing him in his final years of performing and most of them are too stupid to realize they're ignoring a living legend up there on the stage!! They're milling around, talking on the phone and mocking or ignoring them. He even saw that and cut Darby's Castle short. They didn't deserve to hear the whole thing. And no applause at the start of Bobby McGee, seriously??? At least some of them cheered the harmonica. If they have no idea who he is and don't want to listen to him, why are they there??? I saw him a couple of years later, and I'm sure he was no better than in this, but that audience loved him. I'm glad to say Kansas City knew a legend when they saw him!! Kris never ever deserved the rudeness of this lot! Hopefully, some of them, as I saw in one comment, realized later what they were ignoring!! And I was glad to see about 40 minutes in, they finally seemed to realize the magic that was happening up there on that stage. At least the front part of the crowd did....

And sing, compose songs, amazing actor, heck there's basically nothing the man can't do brilliantly!!
