A Traditional Goan Fish Curry
The measurements written in the video are for 1/2 a coconut and 5-6 pieces of fish, but during picturization, I have doubled the ingredients used.
Lovely, I use a similar method. I just use coconut milk for the paste too as it reduces the preparation time

Want to make same preparation with chicken how do i go about it??should i boil the chicken separately if yes do i pour the water of chicken too??
no don't boil separately.... use the same procedure as given for the fish

Hi Andrea, we tried this recipe of yours and it turned out superb..... it reminded me of my mother's yellow fish curry (as we used to call it). It was nostalgic.

We have been given the impression that coconut milk shouldn't be given hard boil. But you boiled it.
and it still turns out good

What do you do with the coconut residue? Just seems such a waste to throw it out.
You can use it for a number of things if you want... bake it for a while and cool and grind it - can be used instead of breadcrumbs, use it to sprinkle over your vegetables, use it in addition to fresh or desiccated when you bake a cake or cookies then or macaroons, or use it as a face scrub.

try white vingegar... if that is not there either, try a pinch or two of amchur powder
