- On the UFC 242 Post Show on ESPN+, UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov joins Jon Anik to recap his submission victory of Dustin Poirier in the main event. Nurmagomedov says Poirier seemed tired in the third round, but respects his opponent’s toughness. Khabib (2:43) adds that Tony Ferguson deserves the next chance at his title, but wants to rest beforehand.

The man with a foot as a balloon, still lasted longer with Khabib, than Dustin. However, I agree that Khabib is on another level and I am not sure anyone can beat him right now. I do not think the Ferguson fight will ever happen, its snake bit and it does not seem Khabib is very keen on that fight. Probably due to it being called off so many times. Ferguson has a chance due to his unpredictable style. I think if the fight ever happened, Tony would need to pull out something he has not done before, out of that box of tricks of his! He is the only one that has a chance of beating Khabib but only by doing something totally off script and monumental, like many were hoping Dustin would. Although, Dustin did not have enough weapons and it would have been interesting to see if Ferguson could have pulled off that submission, that Dustin crashed and burned on!

A good amount, that doesn't take away from khabib's sportsmanship but Max did it and some other previous fighters that Dustin faced have too. Didn't exactly wore his shirt but they donated to his charity. I think max sold his gloves If im not mistaken.
