I read somewhere that this was Anta's Chinese Team's entry for the Kai 1. The American Team ended up with the winning design which is the Kai 1 that released. Dope that they kept this design for the Shockwave (if any of all this is true of course lol)

QOTD: Vomeros. I have two pairs in solid black and solid (almost-white) grey. Both are super plush. There are other cushioning setups I like for all-day use (On's Helion and Hoka's compression molded EVA, especially) but if I had to pick one to last me forever, Zoom Air always feels good under my feet, and 12 Vomeros ago they had enough of it to make me happy.
I don't play basketball anymore, and I wouldn't wear any basketball shoes casually other than Jordans, so Anta is way under my radar. To your point, the brain drain in the design teams that took place at Nike under John Donahoe really shows when brands like Anta can figure out how to consistently outdo Nike basketball at this price point (or any other one). Nike lost a lot of talent during the last few years and it shows.

Kyrie's creativity on his shoes is unmatched
Love this colorway of the Shockwave 6. It looks like one of those totem heads that goes to life and channels your inner beast and enhances your senses sort of thing.

I bought the NB 2002r which had the same midsole and cushion set up as the 1906r last year because people on the internet how comfortable it is. I’m still a little disappointed on how muted the shoe feels but I did wear them for a few days at a theme park and I can understand the comfort people are referring to. It’s suitable for me on your feet all day but I think Chris’s preference (I would love it too) if there’s a forefoot zoom air unit or whatever equivalent to make the stepping/walking comfort more enjoyable. Similar to how the kayano 14 will have that gel on the forefoot. If they had someone similar on the 2002r or 1906r, it will elevate the shoe to a whole new level
I love the design of the shoes and colors on point.
Really dig these, feels like all these other companies have put the foot down (sic) and are eating off Nike's plate. First take about this colourway is it takes cues from the NB Baklava 990v6. With regard to the Ja 2's, it's as though Nike intentionally gave him a dull a$s shoe because man can't help but pull focus with all the off court antics, and they don't want too much profile if it goes sideways this season😅.
Ok....The Anta's are kinda dope,good looking shoe. As for the question of the day, I have pairs of both the Nike Vomero and the New Balance 1906, funny thing is that the pair that I'm most comfortable with is a pair of New Balance 2002R's. I can walk around all day in that shoe, I've heard people say that they feel like bricks to them, but mine are mad comfortable. Dope video as always from Weartesters!
I am a recent convert to the ANTA brand. I have to say it feels and performs better than Nikes I have. Especially the LeBrons that cost alot but did not wear as good as these

Nike Zoom Fly 2 FK are my go to for walking. Found them at marshalls from $40. Bought 2 more pairs later.
These look really nice. Aside from the Nike Blazer, for the most part I’m just over the swoosh in general.
Both the shoes for the question are good everyday shoes. I have both and rock both. I would also like to add the ASICS Gel-Kayano 14 to the mix. Super comfy with some nice colorways!
Agree comfort wise. That said, Kayano 14s are having their moment, but the Kayano 20s are some of the most comfy shoes I've ever worn.
Another contender for all day comfort - ASICS Gel Kayano 20, the recent Bodega collaboration as comfortable AF
Also, we haven't seen Mrs. Wing on Camera in a while... I like to see her interactions, sometimes. Especially when she goes in depth and laughs. 😎

The most comfortable shoe is definitely not the Vomeros. It’s the NB 990v6! Best day to day shoe.

Sorta piggybacking off of/adding onto this video's question of the day, have you tried on a Hoka Clifton 9, Asics Gel Kayano 14, Asics Gel NYC, or Asics Gel 1130? If so, in your opinion, which of the shoes (Vomero 5, NB 1906, the shoes mentioned previously, NB 9060, or NB 990v6) would be the best for 20k+ walks?
Not crazy about kyries, those wolf grey 12s tho are dope, I'm about to make an on feet review along with the rest on my other on feet shorts

I prefer the new balance 2002r they are more comfortable than 1906
1906 for me since I prefer a firmer cushioning setup. I felt like the Vomero 5 was too soft and unstable for me, and tired my legs out when I finally took them off.
1906 are great, though not good bball shoes

i got 3 pairs of the vomeros, and i gotta agree that the one i have with color on it do feel different than the ones that are white/ cream. weird
80usd for the Shockwave 5 model, 150usd for the Kai 1
I find the different colour different feel thing very apparent with air max 1, crazy annoying because they fit like a different shoe tbh depending on the color
Take a look at ANTA Men's Shock The Game Attack 6 it looks good and cushion is better than kai1's

I respect Kyrie Irving's flare for trying things different but sometimes it's just too much you know for me like I like streamline and that's why I don't think I could ever wear his shoes despite I hear them being really good on the court as far as traction it's just too much going on there.

I think Chris does not know about the economic situation in China is that it is a country under deflation instead of inflation as China is under economic downturn for a few years already, every shoe brands in China is cutting HUGE profit margin or even losing money for a pair of shoes sold. So these shoes are damn cheap. Do not think it is a good thing because the local people there is getting poor at the same time so their purchasing power do not increase. I am not protecting Nike or anything as Nike has its own problem too but i think the economic factor in China is what i think Chris may need to know
The Chinese branded shoes have always sold for less than what they are sold to US customers.
@@WearTesters yea I know I’m in Hong Kong, the secondary market of this shoes is 60USD but the number sold in international market is very low, its stock price says it all if their international sales is good. I just want to say what they are doing is not sustainable at all for the company as a whole.

Re: QOTD, yeah that material/build variation can be such a bummer. Even on something as simple as the Superstars or Continental 80s (which as an aside don’t seem to exist at all anymore), one pair might fit like a perfectly and another colorway will flex funny or seem to crush the pinky toe or whatever.
