The composer for this track is actually Hiroshige Tonomura, contrary to what the description says. Yoshihiro Sakaguchi was actually responsible for sound programming in the game.
I hope he knows that the memes have allowed a newer generation to appreciate his great work on this tune :)

I remember when I was a little kid. I played this on an NES I got from my sister. My mom would sit with me while I played it on the living room TV. She had lots of funny commentary and laughed. She made me laugh so hard my ribs would hurt. I miss her so much.

I rented this game from a mom & pop store in the 90’s. I can’t believe that after all these years, it’s still an awesome game.

I think this is one of the best things with Ducktales: it's an endless adventure. My dad grew up with the og Ducktales cartoon and reading the Ducktales comics. One day when I was bored I came across his old comics and starting reading and buying them, now we have a little collection that we both love and I can watch Ducktales 2017 with my siblings. I love how generation after generation, everyone grew up with Ducktales, it's a little common point that is awesome. The last thing I wanna point out is that even in the show, they live an endless adventure that transcend generations, Scrooge the old one, Donald the adult and the triplets as the kids, Ducktales is meant to be shared no matter your age and it's beautiful

@@79keydet The start is in 15/8, the rest is 16/8 as far as I know. It changes at around 13 seconds or 5 bars. But it's cool how they use the middle part of each bar to hide the missing 8th. Cool idea.
The reason why most covers don't compare: either they mess with the drive and rhythm, make it jazzy or whatever or they think changing the chords is somehow supposed to make it better. There is some power in this piece that can easily get lost.
One of the few people who can make pretty great chipsound covers is Matt Gray. His last Ninja II remake is stellar. Then again, he did the original, too.
