The infincency of the sport is epic. Saw a few shoes in the Tacoma Dome and Kingdome around those times.! No cinderblock guardrails and the camera guys in the track.

@@Mistertbones I have a question sir. What ever happened to awesome Kong 2? The huge red 1980-86 body style Ford with flare side bed. The engine in that thing had to be worth a mint and if the truck wasn't so hard to drive it might have been a more legit competition. Dude that thing bounced to much. Thanks take care

@@capri8225 it was stretched to a long wheelbase, and still had the Allison aircraft engine. Then as I recall, that chassis was scrapped to build a newer, lighter frame, the narrow Chevy body and big block Chevy engine, then related and rebodied to a standard with Chevy body. That particular chassis may have also been scrapped as far as I remember when Jeff Dane got out of the sport.

@@adamtereska8734 I'm pretty sure TNT banned the V-12 for competition so Dane had to use more conventional engines in his trucks.

A.M. P.M. Boss made some good runs right there, n great air for those days, love that truck! "Reckless Rex" almost died on that landing!..Damn, so much was right on the edge back in those days.. Spectators right on the ground floor with trucks blasting right past them in alot of areas back then..I've seen a mud bog truck go up and INTO the first 3 rows of spectators when the safety cable snapped during a mud run on a video called "Shake Rattle and Roll"..

Wish Samson was geared up different. Such a pretty truck but it was definitely the glass Joe of this sport in regards of competition.

I wonder why most of the pulling trucks used aftermarket powerplants.. The original blocks can't endure that kind of power? Or there is another reason?
Those old school monster trucks are always a pleasure to watch.
