McCaffrey was not out of gas before he fumbled, ran hard and broke almost every tackle. It was a very unfortunate fumble, 49ers were driving and he was hauling. Can happen anytime by anyone. But McCaffrey did not look out of gas.

Honestly people have a bad habit focusing on backs from championship caliber schools. The problem is they've usually got blue chip offensive lineman opening up freeway on ramp holes for them to run through. The best backs are the ones that don't have a great line and still put up solid numbers. When they finally do get quality blocking in front of them and turn on the jets lookout.

Damon, no one can argue with the production of Cody Schraeder in an elite conference last year. What was the knock on him for why he wasn't a hight draft choice? Was it his 40 time? He ran 4.61, but there is so much more to playing RB than just speed. I'm impressed by what I see on tape. I'm a little more concerned about trading up for Guerendo. His measurables are off the charts, but he was never really a primary back in college; just a rotational guy. Why was that? Shanahan's track record has been great with low draft choices and UDFA RB's, but abysmal when trading up for RB's.

😂 Kyle/Niners seems favor vets. Like Snead said, coaches have favorites, can't really compete. 2 UFA RBs signed last yr. Laborn n Awatt cut before camp. Another replacement forJuice cut. Drafted RBs Sermon n Price cut. Mason doesn't get enough opportunities. Mitchell is good, but hurt too often. Think, Niners would keep the 4th rd pick rather than the UFAs. Mitchell could start on pup again. Only 4-5 spots on 53 . Last yr draft. Only got 2 starters. Moody, not Robbie yet. Brown started because Hufg got hurt. Hope the rest of draft start to show up. Not sure about this draft. OT are only at top of draft. Takes time to become pro. Niners address O-line in 3rd rd with OG type. When OT Williams successor is needed. Not only that, Niners traded pick with Chiefs, so they could pick a OT. Krueg says WR aren't as highly valued. Teams prefer to release than pay up. WR can be found in many rds of draft. Niners got Cowing in 5th. Unless this UFA RB can show he can be the next Cmc. Doubt he gets a shot a 53. Even if he's good, Niners might try to sneak him on 53. Or carry on pup. Has to pass waivers to get on practice squad. Someone might snatch him in waivers. Like Manning was grabbed, but got back by Niners. That UFA DT could be another Fisher. Paid big bucks to sign, but doesn't pan out. Hope this UFA RB pans out. Coach Turner might have an eye for RBs, but Niners haven't found workhorse RBs since the 2 they found for Niners first SB. Niners have let a lot of good players go, getting comp picks, instead of paying up. Using re-treads FAs. Defense fell to #12. Couldn't stop run. A lot of new faces on Defense. Hope the new DC can build chemistry n mesh these 1-2 yr players into a cohesive unit. Let camp battles begin.

@@initialTRD Exactly. Which is why he needs to go. And I know people are concerned about changing coaches multiple times and continuity but guess what, there will always be the next man up.
There will always be a college coach or assistant coach or some coach that will jump at the chance of being in charge of a team. That’s the thing.
To throw in a history story, Abraham Lincoln went through multiple generals in order to win the civil war. Why can’t the San Francisco 49ers go through multiple head coaches in order to win the big one?
Winning a SB is like a war. It takes aggressiveness and risks and Kyle aint that guy.

Come on, be a bit more fair in your reporting - if he is so great, why was he undrafted? He is slow, played on a lousy team and just got a bunch of touches etc? What every other NFL team is stupid, and only the 49ers saw this lol.
