Edward Yang’s Yi Yi introduced me to Taiwanese cinema. And I’m glad he did. Yi Yi has a special place in my heart. One of the most beautiful & raw films I have seen.

Edward Yang, such a highly talented filmmaker. Terrorizers was my first film I saw of his, and YiYi just blew me away. Rightfully regarded as one of the finest movies made. Great video, thank you for uploading.

He is definitely up there but i would consider Andrei Tarkovsky, David Lynch, Billy Wilder and Kurosawa, Kobayashi and a-lot of foreign directors but Edward Yang is definitely up there

Edward Yang didn't direct Little Dragon Head, he directed another part of the anthology, Expectations. Tao Te-chen directed Little Dragon Head

Hey! I just discovered your channel and it seems I happen to be your lucky 1000th subscriber! Gotta say you're one of the best smaller film channels I've stumbled across in a while, especially love your Wong Kar Wai videos. Best of luck and hope to see this channel keep growing!

Hey!! I'm so sorry I didn't reply, I've been moving and it's been a crazy month, hoping to get into a more regular upload pattern!
This means a lot, thank you! I'm still developing my voice, but it's nice to know people like the approach I'm trying to take.
As the 1000th subscriber, is there any film you'd want to see me talk about in particular?
