One thing that bothers me about Anker PD adapters is that they seem to never support 12V PDOs. It might not be a mandatory voltage in the PD specifications, but it's still annoying when I have a bunch of devices/PD triggers that need 12V and can't use them.
Hi ChargerLab and another useful informative teardown video. GaN charger of high output is plenty and getting common nowadays but prices still remains high. Manufacturers and designers are cramping in a lot of components into a smaller case to save costs. Fortunately, as you mentioned, they have designed protection circuits into the charge too so safety is quite good. Simultaneously charging 3 devices may not be a good idea as it may be warm and the plastic case is not good for thermal dissipation. Overall it’s a good design with good quality parts and highly transistors driven. On the other hand, not many devices in the market can make full use of 100 Watts fast charging.
Awesome teardown! Please review the Razer 130w and Hyperdrive 100w charger. Hyperdrive seems to be the first company to release high wattage gan chargers a few years back. I wonder how they stack up against the competition. Would love to know your thoughts.
As a power adapter nerd, let me just say: I LOVE YOUR WORK!!
We have come so far. From big bulky chargers to these which have no space left inside chargers. Great Video
This is a major in-depth review.
More than I needed, but I’m sure there’s others that really understand all of this

@@tenka__ Mostly devices that I can power with a PD to 5.5x2.1mm barrel plug adapter, so things like external hard drives, battery chargers, etc.

From another electrical engineer's video, I learned PFC only works under SOME conditions, and the EMI is high. I have seen it all verified on scopes.
any news on when the release date is for the UK? Really looking forward to getting my hands on this charger.
