Love all the cards Rick. That 72 Stargell is my favorite card out of that set. And that’s a very sweet 52 Ashburn. I appreciate you sharing those my friend.
@@Hodges1455 Brian, these were some of the cards I found in storage and pulled out to possibly be graded at some point. I have since made 4 submissions of 80+ cards and still have a few more to consider. It won’t be until next year though.
@@billyballgamesportscards Hello Bill! Thanks! Slow and steady wins the race! I’m slowly closing in on a run from 1-310. After that comes the real fun! For now, I can still diet and build my set, but there is less low hanging fruit!

Nice Pickups Rick. That Richie Ashburn is neat. It is fun to see you plugging away at your set building goals. By the way, I understand being on a card "diet". Instead of counting carbs you will be counting cards. Take care Buddy.
@@concretebuddy59 Thanks George. I have gotten so wonderful pre-WWII cards this year, it’s been a great year for me. I just have to take a pause for awhile!
Love the 52 Topps Ashburn! Grew up listening to him. He led all the major leagues in the 1950s in hits. Great hitter!
@@WeskerGriff Ed, do you remember By Saam and Bill Campbell? They would have been announcers with Richie “Whitey” Ashburn before Harry Calas.

Love '52 Topps. That Richie Ashburn is nice. If Sy Berger had done nothing except design that set, he'd still have gone down in baseball card history.
@@jga59 I agree! It is a stunning set! Maybe the best ever!
@@Rocketrickj18It's in the running for sure, at least in my opinion! Baseball cards as art.
Gave a video like. Awesome '52 Topps Ashburn! Great '71 Topps Pirates team card and nice '72 Topps Willie Stargell! Thanks for sharing, Rick

Congrats, Rick! Awesome to see you getting those sets knocked out! Slowly chipping away on those 52s! I'm on a card diet too!😂

@Rocketrickj18 There is almost always lower hanging fruit. We'll said my friend.
Really great additions as always Rick.
I remember Richie Ashburn as the only 62 Met to hit .300! He retired in 63 because he couldn’t stand the losing! Great cards Rick!
@@mookiechillson Thanks Mookie!
Nice to see the new additions, Rick. I really like the green tint ‘62 Conley. A very underrated athlete and Boston great.
