- Finally we made it up to see beautiful Scalea today! So many viewers told me I had to go check it out and today was the day. It’s about a 3 hour drive from where we are and I really enjoyed seeing a different part of Calabria. Scalea is a very happening place and a lot of foreigners live there. Me and Angelo went to the beach and then up to the historical center with views to die for. We had a great day walking around and meeting locals. Come with us and check it out for yourself!!

I have to say, Scalea is the kind of “southern Italy” we love. So much in fact, we booked five nights there next June (2024). Can’t wait to go!!

Depends!!! We have one down here for 5k but needs work but you can also find ones for 250k. It all depends on where and how much work you are willing to put into it!

Ciao, you were here! I wish I knew it and I would have met with you. The tower is called Torre Talao and I think those restaurants during the fall season are open in the evening. I wish you could have gone just a little bit down the Old Town and filmed downtown Scalea, with shops etc.

Just watching this brings me to tears. My grandfather, great grandfather and great great were all born in Scalea. They lived in the Centro Histórico..I e been traveling a long journey trying to trace my ancestors and my dream is to visit this place some day and if possible see the house where my Nonno lived. 🥲 thank you so much for this video.
