The religious division between the fans is not really a thing anymore, more of a historical overview. My mistake. Sorry to native fans who got annoyed with the information I shared about that
Great to come back and reflect on this match. I'm a jambo but even I have to say Hibs fans were really great & so passionate that day- good on them for staying and cheering their team after their defeat. And if it wasn't for a remarkable Craig Gordon save, I feel they could have gone on to win.
What an extremely so fantastic Edinburgh Derby between these two of my favourite respective clubs Hearts and Hibernian, good friend!!!Worth the worth and Scottish football at the best daily and ever from the top till bottom tiers respectively, good friend!!!:-D
I’m glad you got to see some goals because there has been two 0-0 games this season between the teams, the derby last week at tynecastle was a cracking game.
I was supposed to go to Hampden Park back in 2020 at the Euros, but when the tournament got postponed we couldn’t make it work. Glad you had the chance to experience a game there!
I am really impressed how many spectators are here.. When you think about, that its just the semi-finals and even no Rangers or Celtic in this match.. I know that the Fans are very passionate, everyone who likes football knows about that. But I really would have not expected so many Fans in this match between Hearts and Hibernian.. Some years ago I visited Celtic vs FC Motherwell in Celtic Park, was ah great experience.. In comparison to Austria it seems to be, that the teams in the middle of the table in Scotland have much more support and they get the people to visit their games.
Nice post. A lot of people in Scotland look down on Scottish attendances even though they're the best per capita in Europe. They forget Scotland has a very small population.
Hearts fan here. Very good vlog, thought he was in for an at least 5 goal thriller after 3 goals in 22 mins then....nowt lol. Hibs were decent unlucky not to get the equaliser, just hope whomever wins the other derby they kick lumps outa each other! As you can see some Hibs fans might have the Irish flag out but Hearts fans are nowhere near as protestant as Rangers you won't really see a Union Jack very often if at all, Hearts are very much just Scottish(even if their history is protestant related) with the st Andrews Cross 🏴 through the Hearts Crest/logo and through the flags waving, not many Scottish premiership teams actually have the st Andrews cross on their crest/logo, Hearts do though, Jam Tarts! ❤ 🏴
@@roscoaber How many do u see during a normal game at tynecastle, I'm talking on a regular occurrence? Compared to Rangers it's hee haw, ul spot one now n again but not every 2nd person like the gers or ticks with the irish flag, much stronger the protestant v catholic rivalry in Glasgow compared to Edinburgh, I've lived in both cities and know the difference and at the grounds as well. I never said there were none, I said less likely as in it's dying out in Edinburgh, Hibernian meaning Ireland will always be that, but the whole protestant v catholic is nowhere near Celtic V Rangers not even close. Gers fans and Ticks fans would rather fly those than anything with the St Andrews Cross on it. Hearts most of the flags have the cross, with the odd union jack here n there, but at Tynecastle I've been to plenty of games where I've hardly seen any union Jack at all. ✌🏴
What a load of pish. If there's any club in Edinburgh who leans into the religious/political stuff it's Hearts. It's still a minority of Hearts fans but it's a much bigger minority than ours.
A bit over simplistic and generalising to say Hearts fans are pro british and protestant and Hibs fans are catholic and Irish. That may be traditionally or stereotypically the case but certainly not the case now for a large number of supporters who's religion and politics is not necessarily tied to their team. Thankfully there are a decent number of supporters on both sides who are above sectarianism, but still happy to engage in an intense rivalry.
Great vid and glad you enjoyed the game, I sure enjoyed the result!! You have already been advised its not a religious divide really, I think it more depends what side of the city you grew up on, who your family supports more than religion, that said there is a small minority that really go for that nonsense but majority dont care and 1st and foremost we are a Scottish Club. Hibs do have irish origins for sure but dont think their fans are overly fixated on religion either....anyway hope you enjoyed the ugly sisters game (celtic v rangers) and keep up the good work
This was insane ma Friend. Fantastic atmosphere out there, you are really lucky 💪🔥 I CAN’T wait your next content, and yes Ferencváros CAN win the Title if Vidi beat Puskas and Fradi CAN get a point against Újpest at Derby 💪🔥
oh mate if you think winning's all that matters u shoud watch my vlog from the 3-0 Celtic win in February. But football's way more than being ashamed of losing. I wanted Celtic to win but HibsHearts was a neutral match for me, I guess I picked the right end there to see all those cracking goals. Cheers for spending time on the channel!
It's just not as strong an influence as the west. I hardly see Union jacks at Tynecastle if at all, it's probably because it's through in Glasgow you'll get some guys living in Glasgow still very much intertwined in it all. It's dying out in Edinburgh the protestant v catholic which in Glasgow its not and Northern Ireland well even further bk. Sad to see Scots fighting amongst ourselves, everyone needs to go watch Braveheart then Outlaw King even if it does miss out Bannockburn. I've always preferred the Lion Rampant as a flag my dad used to have it on the wall and used to think that looked the business. We should be united as a country for our people our land etc but not a fan of taxes or the union jack especially with st patrick cross added to dilute the st andrews cross and st George stand front and centre, na never been a fan at least the American flag it's all spaced out not stamped on top of another, anyway just my view divide and conquer is how they control us. Peace and.....Freeedom! ✌🏴🦁⚔
Two cracking goals from Hearts, thought Hibs was the better team, just didn’t go there way. No doubt your over to see Celtic hopefully we can do the damage today 🇮🇪🏆🏆🏆🇮🇪
You are sooo wrong about the religion aspect. I get so annoyed( or in a flap) when people say we're either British or Irish. I am a Hearts fan and a nationalist just like many thousands of Hearts fans. Just because you see a dozen union jacks at the game doesn't mean the team is a unionist British team. Hearts are inclusive to everyone just like Hibs will be too. Ps good video apart from the religion and political points.
It makes sense that you were in the Hibs end. Take your pick of the seats.... haha Btw there is no Protestant/Catholic division. Some sad sacks (tiny minority) try to have some sort of affinity with the Sevco/Celtic poison. The vast majority of Hearts fans hate the whole religious bigotry crap from Glasgow that spoils Scottish football. Thank you for taking the trouble to enjoy the game and bring a variety of images to your report.
Not about the religious side of things for a lot of hibs fans I know but we are proud of Hibs foundations and history , especially the Irish connection. Our name literally means Ireland ffs. That is why we fly the flag of Ireland not for religious meaning but for respect to our history and those of us with Irish family and the tri colour should always be flown by the hibees 🇮🇪🇳🇬

Hearts played a small club called Gretna fc in the Scottish cup final and took 40,000 fans.
