In a nutshell: bass and lower drum beats have been pushed up louder. Vocals seem clearer and up front. Keyboards are not as buried. "Something" sounds awe inspiring. I thought this album sounded grand! I liked!
I was just watching FitToBe TieDyed’s Review. His is the most critical I’ve seen yet. I love the new mix. I’ll still listen to the original mix, but I’ll be listening to this plenty as well. I think the release is absolutely justified and I say God bless it, and keep ‘em coming!
.. I hadn’t even noticed the non-panning slide from left to right before George comes in on ‘Here Comes the Sun’! Now that song has been elevated from Fantastic to Sublime. 💕
Spot on review Mike! Nothing radical to the remix, as it should be, but it’s like a veil has been lifted and everything sounds much more clear. I would add that if I have a tear in my eye during ‘The End’ it is a job well done - this one had me in floods, great video, cheers Matt
I have a hard time ranking The Beatles albums, but for the bottom spot perpetually belonging to Yellow Submarine and the top spot always going to Abbey Road!

Great review - agree there are numerous vocals, instrument sounds that are clearer now, giving us long-time listeners aural surprises throughout. On the formats, I think they missed the mark on the S.D box set (including for Sgt Pepper, WA), There should/could have been 4 categories for CD: 1) Single CD remix - for the newbie and 'casual' listener 2) Double CD, remix and selection of outtakes - for the less dedicated fan 3) Box set, remix and selection of outtakes, blu-ray and book - for the fan 4) Limited edition SUPER Deluxe box, remix and all outtakes/demos that have been bootlegged and much more, and book - for the maniac that wants to hear it all.. I mean if you call it SUPER, you should really not be so skimpy on the outtakes and demos.
Ken Lee as much as I’d go for that ultimate set, I’m ok with not having every single bad take or flubbed passage. I think weird Al poked fun at this, claiming he had found audio of Paul McCartney brushing his teeth. 🤣
I can't believe I bought this set thinking there was a Blu-ray DVD with it!!! Anniversary Edition top of the Line Box set and no video of the recording process?? I don't won all the dance top of the line audio equipment for surround sound/dolby atmosphere/..so it's just 3 cd and a book. Won't complain too much cause I got this on sale from Amazon for 34 dollars. But still with these archive sets, and anniversary reissues I look forward to the DVD.

Fred Ryder I did get the shirt from the Target exclusive. I had another shirt like that, but it was faded and shrunken somewhat. So, I decided to do what the shirt was meant for and wear it. 🤷♂️. It just says Abbey Road on the bottom, underneath the b&w of the album cover. Thanks for the comment.

I own the Sgt Pepper's and White Album remixes and love them. I admit I'm not as interested in this release as I would like to see the older stuff given the remix treatments. I will still pick this up at some point, though. Thanks for the review.
I remember how exciting it was when Pepper got the deluxe treatment! I was fortunate to get it on the release date and I was pretty blown away. The BEATLES may even be better! Abbey Road is great, but certainly a bit of a step back from the previous two Anniversary sets, but certainly worth having. I agree 100% about seeing the "...older stuff given the remix treatment." I'd love to see all the albums remixed and released as stand alone deluxe sets. Even Yellow Submarine would be worthwhile if it included a BluRay of the film.
This was my confusion. I was reading other comments about a video i did on the 1 album, and I missed that you were commenting on a different video. Sorry about that. I do really enjoy the remix. Not to say I ever hated the original or will cast it away. I just like remixes 'cause they force you to really listen to albums that may have become background.
The only problem that it was the time to significantly improve the sound of albums while preserving their originality, without spoiling them by pulling drowned corpses to the water surface. Unfortunately, it appeares to be another missed opportunity. And the only one, best edition still does not exist. So I will stay with George Martin mono and stereo mixes. As for Abbey Road, there are so many gross errors in the Giles` remix that it is simply impossible to consider him a professional.
@@MagicalMysteryMike Don`t be bothered regretting it. I make a conscious and cynical choice in favor of the best. The only regrettable thing is that instead of a perfect remix we got another unnecessary alternative version, only a better one. Even the bonuses here are not the best. The most significant outtakes were left overboard.
@@MagicalMysteryMike Unfortunately, I do not see anything perfect in it for myself. Even as a photo album is not good - not a single photo of the really very successful ones that are posted on the internet in poor quality.

Plenty of other videos to view on RUclips. Not worth getting upset over the semantics of a small time creator like me. Mr. Lupo has moved on to grammatically superior viewing experiences.

I got it for Christmas i like it better than the 2009 remastered because I think the vocals are clean in my opinion
