El cactus de la muerte Couldn't they had Ligero lose cleanly (Because there was no chance that ROH would allow an outsider like Ligero to get a shot at their world title) and then have Kirby assault him after instead of having Kirby ruin a possible MOTY candidate via DQ?
To be honest it wasn't that bad of a finish A loss for Lethal would have been a disgrace, one for Ligero would have meant no future title shot This ending improves the respect of the two athletes and builds up not only El Ligero's revenge against Kirby but the rematch with Lethal that will be better and probably up there with Zayn v Nakamura(maybe), Zayn v Owens at Battleground and with Ishii v Shibata
Have to ever been to a British live wrestling event? All the crowds are like this. I've only been to one live show in Paisley, and there was a "Shut it, baldy!" chant.
anarchypickle then u should have seen crowds like this most UK crowds r like this and they can be amusing, but I've seen crowds like this all over the us
Although WWE commentary is not very good, they should try to atleast copy their structure. Like not commentating when someone is on the mic, dont talk much in the entrances and focus more in the match and less on their face, heel work. Thats what I think will make it better. If you have any suggestions reply and leave a like in order for whatculture guys read mine and your suggestions.
David Azmy At the moment Im not feeling it because there are to many mistakes, but I do think they have potencial, just need to correct what their mistakes
I don't think WCPW has ever had a match anywhere near this good in their ENTIRE history. Even going all the way back to the very beginning of the promotion.
Alright, so I'll say a few things after the first couple shows. I'm not going to hold WhatCulture to as high of standards as I do WWE for a few reasons. 1, they are still new and very fresh to this. They will continue to improve as this moves forwards. 2, They do not have even close to the budget that WWE has... this should go with out saying but I see an awful lot of bellyaching and nitpicking. 3, For them to put on 2 shows of this quality and NOT ASK FOR A DAMN PENNY... or POUND... or Peso... you get what I'm getting at... Is remarkable... how many shitheads do you see on Kickstarter begging for money to get their projects going. Whatculture made their own capital and fucking went with it... Kudos. Finally... you brits. You have the best crowds ever. I'm Canadian and it makes me want to cross the pond just so I can party with every single one of you lovely bastards. Good on you WhatCulture keep it going!
I like the crowd to a certain degree. The Oh Yeah part was great! But sometimes I wanna hear what the performers have to say. And with people yelling "Sandow" or chanting "Oh Adam Pacitti" during serious moments I feel like to takes away from product. Still I love WCPW though.
+CreamOfTheCrop I think that for a performer one of the best crowd is the Italian crowd. 98% of an Italian crowd is made of marks, they get into the story and they buy everything they see. I saw Italian fans on an indie show that booed a heel even though he was a friend of theirs
WWE has several thousand of live spectators. There'll always be some sound. WCPW has like 26 on each side. It feels more like all of them feel awkward to be quiet because then there's no background sound, so they don't shut the fuck up.
It's more that they can't have Lethal lose in a small indie match like this. It would cheapen and weaken him way too much While Ligero 'losing' would make him look super small time. Shenanigans was the only fair outcome here.
planescaped Honestly too me it just seemed like a waste of a great match which is rare. There are some people who genuinely want to see a actual wrestling match with a clear finish and not be cheated all the time. Thats why I watch indie wrestling. Very anti climatic. Interference was completely uncalled for I understand wanting to elevate a feud but the feud isnt over enough to warrant that it was disrespectful to lethal who was only there for one night. Why couldn't it have been a double countout or draw? wouldve been way better
Although interrupting Lethal was kinda rude, I thought the crowd was more than happy cheering for a Lethal and Ligero. I think I would be saying 2-3 syllable chants as well if I was at a live event including as popular of a superstar as Jay Lethal.
apparently the fight forever chant is becoming another this is awesome chant.... matches that just straight up don't deserve it get it... this match was great don't get me wrong.. but no worthy of a fight forever or this is awesome..
Though I've seen El Ligero wrestle quite a few times in various promotions, this is the first time I've ever seen Jay Lethal in action...this was such a great match that shows what WCPW is capable of!
Y'know, this is fun to watch. It really is. El Ligero and Jay Lethal are two very athletic men who've honed their craft and worked hard to get to be what they are and it really does look like they're having a blast in the ring. This and the Noam Dar v. Rampage match made me a WCPW fan.
I am more than certain youll be fine if you dont just reupload the entire thing, whatculture would be flattered and I don't think ROH own any rights to this show
how the hell did you get Jay Lethal to come to this? seriously, does nobody realize what a big deal this is? Jay freakin' Lethal just had a match at one of these things. that's insane.
Genius Booking, getting heel heat for Kirby, while getting Ligero over with one of the best in the world and legitimising him as one of the faces of WCPW while having both him and Lethal looking stronger than ever. Everybody comes out looking strong, Adam sir you have outdone yourself
+Lilgozzy'splace1 yea that's so stupid to say. A guy has a few matches and all of a sudden he's better then a legend. He's not even close to Rey mysterio smfh!
Watching this match has solidified my opinion that I will keep watching WCPW. This also is going to get me to check out ring of honor. Great job. Great in making El Ligero and Jay Lethal look amazing, and INCREDIBLE heel heat for Kirby. I am stunned. Very well done. Likely my match of the year.
Screwy finishes aren't inherently bad. In certain cases, such as this, they can help get a heel character heat and build up for a future feud, also it protects both ROH from looking bad for having their top guy loose on a start up promotion, while also making one of WCPW's top stars look good by having him earn a title match through respect and fortitude without actually beating the champion. This ending accomplishes so many things, and the fact that you can't see that proves that you're the one who doesn't know what they're talking about, not What Culture.
Dear King Ross and Simon Miller, I'd suggest not mentioning other wrestling companies that often. Sure, it's cool that you guys don't want to ignore them as if they don't exist, but please stop mentioning WWE after every god damn comment, and preferably please stop with some of the commentary segments. Instead of having Ross constantly have a dumb skit, how about actually go indepth into what you just saw in the match that had finished? Talk about what you expect to see in the next matchup, perhaps? I find it irritating hearing a load of WWE comments throughout a WCPW show, especially when WCPW is actually interesting, unlike WWE. You don't want to drop down to WWE-styled shitty humour with the skits now, do you? Love from, Rob (PointlessChannelOne) xoxo
Serious time! I was just checking this match out because of some vague sort of loyalty towards what culture wrestling. I wasn't expecting much. A few minutes later I'm completely sold. Great match!
dude as much as im loving wcpw there have been WAY TO MUCH shenanigan finishes like its almost a 50/50 to see someone winning a match completly clean with a pin or submission
What a kick as match. Thank you so much to Lethal for coming in and helping this fledgling sprout wings... it goes leagues to giving you guys early credibility. ... I love the crowd. It is no more lively than the NXT crowd would be with some proper drinks in them. I actually wish King and Simon would ease the pedal off the banter during the commentary. I love you guys, but I couldn't hear what some of those interactions between the crowd and the talent behind your banter.
Notice how much Lethal is obviously enjoying himself in this match. He's interacting with the crowd. From the moment he stepped out for his entrance, he's had a big grin on his face. That could work as means of bringing other big talent over for WCPW shows if he goes around telling guys about his experience. Could be the biggest tool for a new promotion to recruit serious and big time talent down the road.
Myself & I'm sure thousands of other absolutely love this, without a doubt future of British wrestling or just wrestling in general.. come on its just awsome. who else is with me? (:
Great match! Props to Ligero and Lethal and to WCPW for Managing to book this. Give the WhatCulture guys a few months of experience and this promotion could become as great, as we all want it to be.
@Whatculturewrestling i am a fan from London will you do any shows in or in Croydons farefild halls as i would like to buy a tickey to watch one of your shows got a good product going
I think this show should be its own RUclips channel. What culture should stay with wrestling highlights and top tens. Let this new phenomenon have its own place.
Great match the end was good Kirby has real heat now. El Ligero and Martin have a good feud building. And if ROH were to grab El Ligero this could become a classic feud for the ROH title.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around that you guys actually got a wrestling program off the ground, and on top of that made sure it has really fucking good matches.
Damn, this was actually a very good match! Not just for WCPW (its best match thus far, by far), but it was flat out good. Good story told here, and with Lethal showing power and agility, as he does just as crisp as ever it just worked. I am not too familiar with Ligero but he was damn impressive here, very clean in his execution, and the two have very good chemistry. There was a good bit of nice mat wrestling as well, just good stuff!
Great match, crowd was really into it. Two great competitors. This is how pro wrestling is suppose to be. They re telling a story. Not just doing a cookie cutter match. This is awesome!!
Best match of WCPW without a shadow of a doubt
*Without a Sandow of a doubt ;-)
+Mehdi Boutry did you quote Brand Sins?
Lol I remember 'He lost to Damien Shadow'
+Chris Wilde I watch the Christian Maracle sin video
+aiooty19 *watched
WCPW needed that one really good match to seem more serious. This was that match. Not bad WhatCulture.
And then they ruined it with Martin Fucking Kirby.
+David Harding it was to further their feud
El cactus de la muerte Couldn't they had Ligero lose cleanly (Because there was no chance that ROH would allow an outsider like Ligero to get a shot at their world title) and then have Kirby assault him after instead of having Kirby ruin a possible MOTY candidate via DQ?

+David Harding it was to push a storyline. Plus he might get a title match in the future. I think it was worth it.
Can this crowd just fucking not for a second, like you can be excited and cheer without doing smark chants... it's possible
Have u ever been to a live wrestling event?
Many. Large and small.
Have to ever been to a British live wrestling event? All the crowds are like this.
I've only been to one live show in Paisley, and there was a "Shut it, baldy!" chant.
anarchypickle then u should have seen crowds like this most UK crowds r like this and they can be amusing, but I've seen crowds like this all over the us
it's a proper Adam Blampied crowd, annoying as hell
"Jay Lethal kicks out at 3!"
-Simon
nearly at 3.
Millllller O clock!!!!!
he said nearly at 3
He made it to botchamania lmao
Ross o'clock
This match was the match of the night hands down, maybe even match of the year
It was a great match but match of the year, slow down now.
Nakamura v Zayn
Match of the night maybe, nowhere near match of the year
+manniefaces slow all the way down lol
aj styles vs jay lethal match of the year
Although WWE commentary is not very good, they should try to atleast copy their structure. Honestly, i think that Ross and Simon are much better commentators, because they actually feel human, not Vince's robots.
David Azmy At the moment Im not feeling it because there are to many mistakes, but I do think they have potencial, just need to correct what their mistakes
+David Azmy Ross sure as hell doesnt. all the banter is stupid.
+Pedro Almeida COME ON, do you watch wtf moments, the wwe commentators mess up a LOT more than them
+That Guy Sage He is supposed to be loud and hilarious, that's the reason why fans love him and why he's still employed.
The best match in WCPW history
Chill, it's there second night
I don't think WCPW has ever had a match anywhere near this good in their ENTIRE history. Even going all the way back to the very beginning of the promotion.
Ya better then Damo vs Hendry last week
but SANDOW.. u stupid idiot mark
+Miguelius TheGr8 Can we say so far?
Still I love WCPW though.
evan blann True enough. I think this is still better than the alternative but I can agree that some moments the crowd is a bit much
+CreamOfTheCrop I think that for a performer one of the best crowd is the Italian crowd. 98% of an Italian crowd is made of marks, they get into the story and they buy everything they see. I saw Italian fans on an indie show that booed a heel even though he was a friend of theirs
+aiooty19 I love British fans, but ur right the Italians r amazing
I'd pay so many pesos for this! So many!
Please bring colt cabana and make him face damien sawdow , that would be a fun match.. This match was DAMN good btw
sandow
Yep , thank you i didn't see it ;-)
+Mehdi Boutry Colt Cabana retired from wrestling, he said it in his podcast.
+Goodness Duru but didn't he face Lethal not that long ago at Global Wars?
better tell his website since it has him wrestling this during July and August
As much as I like all the funny moments on the show, I hope they start to take themselves more seriously as the show goes on. Great match!
Lethal's reaction to the "Ooooh Yeah!!" was perfect.
Martin Kirby.... He.... He's got the actual fucking kirby on his knee pads?
welcome to last week
ever heard of yoshi from wwe .
+travis estes WHAT? WHAT THE FUCK?!
+Izod General Yoshi Tatsu. He was on the Midcard in 2012 but that's all I know.
+Tiger Bro ok that makes a little bit more sense. Everyone makes the midcard look like trash
My god. This match was nothing short of fantastic. Better than some WWE matches. Well done WCPW.
Wait. Jay Lethal is ROH World Champion? I had no idea.
...
lol
I'm pretty sure it's a joke considering it's been over a year
I hate breaking kayfabe. Jay Lethal has had a running gag on this channel where he won't shut up anout being ROH champion.
That's the joke.
Second week in a row Ligero has the best match of the night.
these people dont stop chanting only down side of wpcw
This is what it's like in wwe apart from they mute or fake crowd reactions to suit the story.
that's called a actual wrestling crowd, not muted, not edited not bored...
WWE has several thousand of live spectators. There'll always be some sound.
WCPW has like 26 on each side. It feels more like all of them feel awkward to be quiet because then there's no background sound, so they don't shut the fuck up.
It's better when they chant because when they don't, the warehouse is dead silent and the wrestlers can't call spots cause it's too quite
Really? WELL I guess Japanese wrestlers never call a fucking match in their entire lives
fuckin idiot
The best WCPW match so far. Looking forward to see new match.
I'm a simple man. I see Jay Lethal, I upvote.
This isn't Reddit you cancer Reddit cancer
dont listen to these guys your like is highly apreciated
It was a prank bro
That mat camera is pretty awesome. Made the arm drags look positively brutal.
El Ligero's real name is Simon James Musk. How much more British can it get lol
Sir Edward Thomas Philips III
Sir Charles Hackington III
Chandler Nickles kill.
Sir Robert Edward Buckington Willyfeather VIII
Best WCPW match so far. I don't think that any other match could live up to this.
amazing match with jay lethal the ending just ruined the match it was unnecessary should of ended in honour like nakumara/zayn
They can't give ligero the title match and having ligero lose helps no one, so whats wrong with furthering the feud between ligero and kirby
Honestly I thought it elevated ligero and didn't hurt anyone. I liked it
It's more that they can't have Lethal lose in a small indie match like this. It would cheapen and weaken him way too much While Ligero 'losing' would make him look super small time.
Shenanigans was the only fair outcome here.

***** Ur a bit late
"This is what the people pay to see" lmao All 20 of them
Gotta start somewhere, Rey.
DGenerationMC
True, but perhaps dont commentate on people buying tickets when clearly they did not.
+Rey Co. Beats it's sold out isn't it?
Eh, I'd say there's at least 50 fans in that room, just judging by the widest shot.
I thought they would be doing a bigger audience when i heard Jay Lethal would be there. But if this is in england than it makes sense i guess.
I remember when Noam Dar was going to face Jay Lethal
He is
That's gonna be a different show smarty.
That is at Built to Destroy in a few weeks, this was to further some storylines.
Now you look like a fool.
One of the greatest Professional Wrestling matches I've seen
Why ending such a match with DQ #Blampiedsucksforcreative
To build Kirby as a heel
So they can build the feud between Ligero and Kirby.
spoiler.
+hightimes withseagore that isn't a spoiler u should know this already
+kid Bàlor now I do.
WCPW made me a fan of pro wrestling again and for that I thank you.
Can fans these days not make original chants that don't just involve 4 syllables and clapping?
I'm so pleased somebody else is annoyed by this and it's not just me
british fans are normally good, just give them chance
Better than a crowd sitting on their hands.

JESUS
Y'know, this is fun to watch. It really is. El Ligero and Jay Lethal are two very athletic men who've honed their craft and worked hard to get to be what they are and it really does look like they're having a blast in the ring. This and the Noam Dar v. Rampage match made me a WCPW fan.
Im wondering if i could make a highlight of this match without getting copyrighted
you can
Are You 100% Sure Because I Already Have 1 copyright strike from ROH
+KillSquad as long as your clips are shorter than 5 seconds you'll be alright
Oh, I Think Ill Just Do A Review Instead
I am more than certain youll be fine if you dont just reupload the entire thing, whatculture would be flattered and I don't think ROH own any rights to this show
WOW!!!!! I watched this last night THIS VIDEO DESERVES A MILLION LIKES!!!! Wonderful match just Amazing
how the hell did you get Jay Lethal to come to this? seriously, does nobody realize what a big deal this is? Jay freakin' Lethal just had a match at one of these things. that's insane.
everyone knows it's a big deal
Apparently Suzie Kennedy brought most of the wrestler sono WCPW
+Dimo Gult to*
all I can say is, WHAT A MATCH!!! easily in the top 100 pro-wrestling matches of this year!
Genius Booking, getting heel heat for Kirby, while getting Ligero over with one of the best in the world and legitimising him as one of the faces of WCPW while having both him and Lethal looking stronger than ever. Everybody comes out looking strong, Adam sir you have outdone yourself
Finally someone who understands this, half of the comments r complaining saying it was a bad and pointless ending and that Adam can't book a match.
Jay Lethal =Tyler the creator
one of the best matches I've seen in a while
JAY LETHAL COME TO NXT
Why nxt???
Naw, he would have to be called up to the real thing, he's too good
wwe WILL ruin him
+David Azmy true
I'd rather have Nakamura have GOOD matches in NXT than being forced to make Roman look strong
It's cool to see a show like this from WhatCulture
El Ligero > Rey Mysterio
Yeh but he's from leeds...
there is apparently a decade of wrestling that you missed called wcw or you would not have said that.
+Lilgozzy'splace1 yea that's so stupid to say. A guy has a few matches and all of a sudden he's better then a legend. He's not even close to Rey mysterio smfh!
Rey Mysterio > El Ligero
I guess you never saw Mysterio in WCW then.
Great match, BS ending.
Agree
adam blampied game plan in a nut shell. like after 2 episodes i can say saftly say he loves the bs finishes
You know it's not just Blampied that's on creative, right?
El ligero can't win but if he lost clean he would look weaker and it furthers his rivalry with kirby
espurious you know he is head of creative so he gets final say right
This was truly the greatest webcast in the history of our sport!
Seeing how much they talk about WWE creative you'd think they would be a little better at booking the end of a match like this. Smh
+pdragon619 I agree, I liked the finish, it made perfect sense and nobody was hurt
+pdragon619 Fatality
Awesome match.Great promo.Give us more WCPW
Dear King Ross and Simon Miller,
I'd suggest not mentioning other wrestling companies that often. Sure, it's cool that you guys don't want to ignore them as if they don't exist, but please stop mentioning WWE after every god damn comment, and preferably please stop with some of the commentary segments. I like Simon for that, he does play by play well, and Simon got me involved in the match, but Ross took me out of it every single time.
Serious time! I was just checking this match out because of some vague sort of loyalty towards what culture wrestling. I wasn't expecting much. A few minutes later I'm completely sold. Great match!
Crowd is gross
Have u been to a live show
one of the best wrestling matches iv seen
wow, just wow. these two are brilliant, what a show!
Both Ligero and Lethal are great guys irl. Had the pleasure to meet both
I'm so proud of WCPW, they got a "fight forever" chant. So cool.
That match was great. These two could go at it forever. Lethal is the man and El Ligero is certainly no slouch. *applause*
Great match! Face vs Face can be tough to pull off but both men played to the crowd really well. It's great to see both men leave with a pop to boot.
one of the best matches they had so far
This match had me so hype all the way through it! Good job guys :)
This match alone was well worth the price of admission
El ligero vs Jay lethal just hearing that was a match would have been worth the admission
+El cactus de la muerte dat cutter dough
dude as much as im loving wcpw there have been WAY TO MUCH shenanigan finishes like its almost a 50/50 to see someone winning a match completly clean with a pin or submission
It's because they need to establish all the talent and characters without making any wrestler appear full out weak
They wouldn't have given ligero the ROH title shot yet, but they decided to use lethal to show of ligero's talent and to further his and kirby's feud
Props to WhatCulture for giving a candidate for match of the year
What a kick as match.
Thank you so much to Lethal for coming in and helping this fledgling sprout wings... it goes leagues to giving you guys early credibility.
...
I love the crowd. It is no more lively than the NXT crowd would be with some proper drinks in them.

Best match of 2016 in my opinion so far
Myself & I'm sure thousands of other absolutely love this, without a doubt future of British wrestling or just wrestling in general.. come on its just awsome. who else is with me? (:
I love the crowd, and Lethal, you can tell he's having fun, joking around and all that with the old Macho Machismo gimmick, it's great.
Jay Lethal is one of the coolest wrestlers ever talking to crowd now that's cool
what a match!remember jay lethal from czw..awesome wrestler
a one promotion has born go for more salute from jujuy argentina
Great match! Props to Ligero and Lethal and to WCPW for Managing to book this. Give the WhatCulture guys a few months of experience and this promotion could become as great, as we all want it to be.
21:25 RKO OUTTA NOWHERE IM CRYING 💀💀💀😂😂😂😂
this was very pleasing
was going to watch the raw highlights but this is way better
I have never watched jay lethal in a match before this but he is definitely entertaining af.
"You are wrestling" The respect.. I wanna be part of a WCPW crowd one day.
Worth my time watching this....Thanx
This is better than tonight's raw so I came back to watch this.
Yo... Lethal is a huge get haha he's the top guy in ROH which is almost the second biggest wrestling company in the USA...
Impressive
This match was insane! Love it!
Solid wrestling. Really great match
@Whatculturewrestling i am a fan from London will you do any shows in or in Croydons farefild halls as i would like to buy a tickey to watch one of your shows got a good product going
Best match of WCPW so far.
Beautiful wrestling. Give me more
"Don't move"
-Jay Lethal 2016 Quote of the year
I think this show should be its own RUclips channel. What culture should stay with wrestling highlights and top tens. Let this new phenomenon have its own place.
"From Mexico" lol. I saw him in Leeds like two days after this.
Great match the end was good Kirby has real heat now. El Ligero and Martin have a good feud building. And if ROH were to grab El Ligero this could become a classic feud for the ROH title.
This is just fuckin awesome thank you wcpw ! Pure entertainement just what we wanted!

great match and lots of respect and great story telling by both wrestlers. kind of a disappointing end but understandable, keep it up wcpw!!!
This match is a contender for match of the year
Good thing about having a small roster like this is that no one really gets buried and everyone feels like top stars
I love hearing the crowd
Even with the ending this match was a banger
Damn this has to be match of the month 10/10
Great match, crowd was really into it. Two great competitors. This is how pro wrestling is suppose to be. They re telling a story. Not just doing a cookie cutter match. This is awesome!!
WCPW Match of the year
What's the name of WCPW's theme song?
