[12]as you wait for the Day of God and do your best to make it come soon - the Day when the heavens will burn up and be destroyed, and the heavenly bodies will be melted by the heat.

[15]Look on our Lord's patience as the opportunity he is giving you to be saved, just as our dear brother Paul wrote to you, using the wisdom that God gave him.

So spot on👍👍👍 Amen. My grandfather and my father working with him on the Plains of South Dakota where homesteaders around 1900’s. My father always said and I quote “ In life Theirs No Free Lunch, Period. Somebody, Somewhere is Paying The Freight “. End Quote. In our free gift of salvation through the death of Jesus Christ on the Cross , Jesus Paid that Bill. He owns the Bill outright and do with it , ever he pleases. Through that understanding he gives it freely to us through our faith in him that he died, paid the bill of our sins on the cross. It is finished done, stamped paid in full. And through his authority can give it out freely to anyone that understands the gift given through faith in him for what he has done and accomplish on the cross. It is completed. I think about this just about everyday and it’s this thought and thinking that keeps me going , day in and day out. I’m just passing through in this space and time continuum, but learning and experiencing life and what it has to offer. But there will be a day in the future that will transform me into eternal life. So I try not to get to wound up about daily events but it seems hard some days and I’ve got to remind myself of that. So have a great day👍👍.

I use to be horrified by the thought of death. I told myself I’m young, I have a long life ahead of me! But every time I thought back to dying it would freeze me in fear.
Since I believed in my precious Jesus and He became my everything I long for this body to stop. Death doesn’t scare me , the unknown of how makes my flesh concerned but fear of everything has been replaced with joy and peace and excitement! If you haven’t put your faith in Jesus and you fear death then talk to Him and tell Him, ask Him to save you. Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Btw, I turned 60 three days ago. I’m not young anymore but I have everything I ever wanted in Jesus. Life doesn’t last long. You think “ I have the rest of my life to enjoy the pleasures of this world “ but you may die tomorrow. What is 60 years or 100 years compared to eternity?
Caroline, I felt the same way, nervous and very afraid of death because of my past sins, I will be 59 soon. A little more than a year ago I started reading the Bible and found a great Christian church and attend Bible school, and it changed everything. I no longer fear death and in a way in a hurry to finish this life, it's like the days go by in a blur from the anticipation of eternity. I have so much more peace and less stress and anxiety everyday since I repented of my sins. The answers to everything is in the bible and in Jesus. God be with you in everything my sister in Christ
