*Pro tip with the shapes of countries:*
If you know the neighbors of a given country, you can try to guess their shape from the shapes of their neighboring countries - think of a jigsaw puzzle. Similar to how you've found the shape of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the shape of Croatia.
The islands and microstates are the tricky ones, and those have to be memorized.
Yeah that is not that bad
Also a lot of flags have stars
And most countries have a special shape or spot with there borders for example Germany uou can see its border with france and chezcia.

Czechia and Slovakia are easy to remember, since they used to be Czechoslovakia so they slot together easily. And they also slot into the gap in the bottom right of Germany
The country that fits into the bottom right slot of Germany is the Czech Republic or Czechia.

tbh i did the europe click every country no outlines thing so much i know all their borders (except san marino, vatican, and montenegro) by heart lmao

@@nileprimewastaken I'd say North Macedonia is pretty easy if you know where the Bulgarian and Serbian borders are, Montenegro is a bit more tricky, but still I think not too bad lol. The microstates are a complete struggle though lol

It’s understandable why you don’t recognize Poland at first. It’s easy to confuse a country with a speed bump. I’m sure the Germans and Soviets can help you with that one 💀
And funny thing you mention McDonald’s for North Macedonia, because there aren’t actually ANY McDonald’s there! They had seven of them there and all closed in 2013. SJ Company (the ones running the Macedonian franchises) lost their license (rumor has it that it was a falling out between the McDonald’s CEO and SJ Company) and McDonald’s has yet to return.
But their flag has also the McDonald colors too.

spain france and germany were the 1st 3 i learned that was harder than like norway, italy, uk and others

The way I remember Germany is simply that it looks like Pacman

Hey i think this might help for the netherlands: the netherlands also looks like godzilla. I hope this helps!
For some people who want to learn this with little tricks:
Hungary and Czechia are shaped like a chicken nugget, Hungary being the down-faced one, Czechia being the one with the little swiggle/sizeways Z.
Liechtenstein and Luxembourg have a similar shape, Liechtenstein having the left size being a clear line.
Iceland and Malta also have a similar shape, Malta being an outstretched form of iceland.
Switzerland is a spikey little country to me.
Austria has a bench piece Germany sits on.
The Netherlands is somewhat shaped like a lion (Fun fact: That's why the 'signiture' animal of the Netherlands is a Lion)
Latvia has a little downward V at the bottom, which Lithuania fills in.
Lithuania has a little half circle at the right bottom size.
San Marino is a mirrored Bosnia and Herzegovina.
North Macedonia is almost like an oval.
Portugal is just a simple line.
Slovakia is an upward bow, Slovenia being the downward bow.
Andorra is a mirrored belarus
Romania is shaped like Poland, but with a little claw-like thing at the right bottom, reaching for the sea.

Good job my man, also for Bulgaria u were almost on spot with the mnemonic for the bull, however just as FYI the shape is historicly connected to a lion hence the bulgarian coat of arms.

I know half of these from seterra and worldle and I usually use historic reasons to remember them, like austria has a panhandle to reach germany and germany has a chunk taken out of it from the world wars
I remember when I was 11 I played this game called Stack the Countries. I can still remember all country shapes,capitals and names to this date.

when i learned all the countries of the world, i found that i didnt even have to do things separately like this, i just slowly learned all the outlines of every country subconsciously. but of course that meant there was a tradeoff, and i didnt learn all of the flags of the world, but i think i know a good amount.

2 days late but you got the Romania-fish analogy right, they teach us during the first years of school that the country is either shaped like a fish a bouquet of flowers

Also, after you have done this you should try and learn all the flags of the UK counties
Luxembourg kinda looks like a decapitated rhino if I’m honest.
The way I remember finland is that the left pan handle is the hand. And right is the head. And then the old borders from 1920 had more land and before they had 3 pan handles and the 3rd is on the east which looks like another hand. And Karelia is like the feet. And they had some more extra land which makes it look a bit more fat lol. So I remember it as a female.
