    Fantastic presentation and production. Glad I could slow parts of the video down to half speed in the settings and then play back the sections I want to concentrate on. I think there is enough technique in 4.49 minutes to keep me busy for a week and then some! Anna is an exceptional teacher and has a care and warmth that transmits through the screen to the student.

      I also slowed the last part down to 0.5 speed. Want to see her dance more and maybe slower to follow.

    Great video, with clear explanation on a move that a lot of people, I daresay, just "shuffle around" while doing.
    Re: sound quality - The sound quality was fine for me, but for people who might be missing something, you might want to add subtitles, or enable community contributions. I walk around RUclips now and then adding English and French subtitles whenever the uploader has enabled community contributions.
    Well done! (PS. The dress looks great).

    • @DanceToday
      @DanceToday  6 лет назад +1

      Tail! Your the man brother! I did enable on one video but the contribution… let's say ...was a little too interesting !
      I'm super excited about my new website that will have practice wear and other dance products plus exciting new services !!!
      Also , thanks for the support about the music but i agreed its slightly loud BUT the other option is of pure echo is not an option 🤣✌📢

    • @Tayo3234
      @Tayo3234 6 лет назад +1

      LOL really? I'm interested in what those "interesting" contributions could be...I've never seen anything abnormal while reviewing other people's contributions. The other advantage is that it allows your videos to reach a wider, non-anglophone audience.
      You might also look into having Anna wear a tiny mic like they do for lectures (I don't know how uncomfortable or practical that might be), or getting an assistant to hold a mic above her head.

    • @RenateFarida
      @RenateFarida 2 года назад

      @@Tayo3234 I agree with your suggestion about the mic.

    What kind of timing do you use on the back step? In other words, are you on the beat (1, 2, 3 or 4) on the back step.

    I know - that trick step in samba that looks a little bit like flamenco tap dancing and it goes "1 uh and a 2 uh and a 3 uh and a 4 uh and a" - that's the batukada.

    • @charlessmith263
      @charlessmith263 4 года назад +1

      Mantra is "kick on lead foot, step-in-place on lead foot, step-in-place with other foot, step-in-place with the original foot" I see that as four foot actions covering one beat and they are quick. So I am thinking "Slow uh and a Slow uh and a" here.

      Hello Malinda ! Its Rumen , own Dance Today & create all the content. Its my fault the sound is slightly loud but I was trying to muffle the echo of the room . I was a beautiful location but super empty ... I will try and keep sound in mind for the next series of latin clips. Just a heads up that there are about a few more in this series with "interesting" sound 🤣 Thank you for watching btw !!!!

    Can you show the Miami Special with Ronde in Jive, Please? It's so cute, I have seen a teacher was doing that, but I can never do it with my two left foot. ;-))) Thanks, moa! moa!
    btw, can you please announce when will be your next techniques class in L.A.

    • @DanceToday

      Yes its not traditional samba but ballroom latin version of the dance.

  • @osantokensal
    @osantokensal 5 лет назад

    You must explain that this video is how to dance ‘ballroom samba’ and not Brazilian samba. Authentic Brazilian samba is way different that what they do in ballroom competitions. Rio Carnival dancers dance on their toes but wearing high platform stiletto shoes, the tempo is way faster and the movements are more influenced by Afro dances as samba is originally from Africa. Not criticising here, just explaining that ballroom styles have very often nothing to do with real samba, real pasodoble, real salsa, etc.
