Yup I sold these between 2017 to 2018.. the first gen are made from lower grade ABS (not plasticized) and the joints would break, lost a lot of business because I don't accept returns. Many people just end up gluing the figure together and turn them into statues. I gave up selling these and just tell people to go to BBTS because bigger stores are better at handling returns, breakage, and Q.C. problems. It is hard to get replacements as a small time seller to keep up with all the defects or people just looking to get free products lol
The new gen.. maybe 3rd or 4th now are somewhat better but they have switch to plasticized parts for durability. My distributor in China said they cannot keep up with demand on these figures.. entire lot sold within days

So yeah, the last new set I got was the CrossFire City Police set, which was around the same gen as these. I have a friend who's still been actively collecting them up to the current stuff, and seems like he hasn't been having breakage issues with the newer ones. I'd want to get some new ones, but there's just so many now, and I prioritize 6"/imports.
But, with these, yeah I experienced some breakage issues. Thankfully there were spares to replace or fix with. I even sold one once and as I was going to ship, the elbow joint snapped, and the peg was stuck in the peg hole, so I had to swap with an arm from one I was keeping for myself and sacrifice it.

Yup, I preordered mine from over there! You can definitely tell the difference between the old stuff and new. It's great that joytoy are willing to improve their line and learn from their mistakes

It's good to hear they've improved, I really need to try some of the newer stuff. In the meantime, maybe sometime I'll do more vids of the other few JoyToy in my collection.

@@smutoys yeah do it, like to see other people's joytoy collection and their experience with them. Some are hard to get now, so some of the old ones are going for ridulous prices online, QC issues and all!

@@SkellywagsTV I told the guy who bought my toy business to looking into getting newer gens, hopefully he can buy directly from Joy Toys instead of dealing with shady distributors like I did. JT does replace damage figures while the distributors.. you are out of luck.

Nice to see you put up some joytoy figs! I've got one of the futuristic soldiers on order from China as the design is great. I really like that joytoy constantly improve their line. Will you be picking up any of the new ones soon?

I really WANT to! But, for whatever reason I haven't pulled the trigger on any newer ones in a long time. The last new set I got was the CrossFire City Police set, and that was around the same generation as this US Army Special Groups set. There's just so many now, and varying theme/era options.
I do really want one of the SUV's. So, if ever I do get one, I'd get some figures that fit the theme/era of the vehicle. I'd put it around the near futuristic stuff. But, I also really like the super sci-fi feel of some of the Battle For The Stars sets.
Problem is, 6" high end/imports are my main thing, even though I still love the 4" scale. But, the 6" will always take priority. So, we'll see bro haha! What's your favorite that you've gotten among the newer/current ones?

@@smutoys man, that SUV looks so sweet, but a bit pricey. I just recently got the Halo 1/18 Warthog for my vehicle fix which is great. Will be putting it up soon. I've been tempted by 6" but if I do that may end up being a new obsession! I think Hammer of Steel have been my favourite of the new lot. Solid figures with great modular armour with that Gears of War/ Man of steel Kryptonian futuristic design. Also, the Saluk Golden Legion alien species set is up there s well

I have built up a modest collection of joytoy figures. I try to limit how much I pose them. I had a few break on me.

Man, that sucks! I've experienced it too! How many have you had breakage on?

They look super detailed! I wonder how these compare to marauder task force figures. Look very Halo, or modern Joe, or the digital camouflage soldiers like Call of Duty. You getting any of the mecha or vehicles one day? By the way, love the background of other mini-figures.

I've never actually gotten any MTF. Came close several times, but never pulled the trigger. Aesthetically, I'd say JoyToy blows Marauder out of the water (and even Acid Rain too). But, I imagine construction quality on MTF is similar to G.I. Joe, tougher. Whereas JoyToy would be treated like higher end import figures, not really designed for play, but rather posing and displaying with care in handling.
JoyToy is pretty diverse though, from modern military, to near future, to really futuristic and sci-fi. And then now they even do WWII, plus a few licensed properties as well. Haven't pulled the trigger on any mechs yet, as cool as they are. But, I do plan on the vehicles eventually, some great stuff for 1/18.

Much much more detailed and better articulation than Marauder. MTF is made more like modern G.I. Joe 1/18 figures design for durability and posability. These are somewhat more overly engineered "models" with much more delicate joints and superior detail.. it requires delicate handling.. simply put if you handle these things like G.I. Joe's or MTF expect a lot of breakage

Okay, maybe I understated that, you're right, much much much more detail and superior articulation to MTF (and G.I. Joe for that matter)!

Joytoy are great figs particularly the new stuff. They've got modular armour to mix and match too. Been covering a lot on my channel. I recently looked into Marauder but they're not delivering to the UK now which sucks

Sure you're better off with JoyToy than Marauder anyway. But, what do you think of Acid Rain?

I have no familiarity with JoyToy, but these guys look awesome. Great for anybody who likes G.I. Joe or military toys.
